Love the steak sandwich with provolone! Delicious! Great rolls! Fries are hit and miss, sometimes they’re hit and fresh but the last few times I’ve had them they’ve been very crunchy. But definitely a great place for a sandwich! The chicken strips are a great option for kids(and adults alike!)

Waited an hour and they still kept saying it’ll be another 20 minutes for a single deli sandwich. Another 20 minutes and they said again it’ll be 20 minutes. After seeing customer after customer who ordered after as get their food. Joke of a place. Worthless service. Worthless employees. Decided after waiting for more than an hour(for a single deli sandwich!) to just get my money back(and the tip) and went elsewhere. Would give this place a 0 if I could.

Spots is always an awesome option, the steak sandwiches are unreal and a sack of fries is enough to share with others. And they deliver beer!

This place has HORRIBLE customer service. Me and my girlfriend went and ordered philly’s with fries and they gave us cold HARD fries with the entire salt container dumped into the bag. They were to salty to eat and when I asked for a new order I was told No they don’t give new orders or refunds, even if they mess up your food. The manager Bruce is an asshole and threatened me and my girlfriend. I would tell everybody looking for food to go to Wings over BG or Easy Street Café. They have great food, great prices and friendly workers.

Decent middle of the road drunk food. Located conveniently next to the bars. I seldom get a craving for their food when I am sober.

I only went to this place because it had good reviews, but I don’t see what the fuss is about. I first ordered the wings, but they weren’t offering the special at the time of day, so I decided to grab a sub, which ended up being a generic piece that I’d make at home(I’m not a chef, by any means). Fries were ok, but nothing I couldn’t grab at a hole-in-the-wall bar. The service was poor and unwelcoming, but hey, they have beer. I certainly wouldn’t stop back by here if this was in my college town.

A must go!!! One of my favorite places in BG! Great philly steak and philly chicken steak sandwiches. My wife swears by the Kensington. The wings are good and the waffle cheese fries are pretty awesome! They may be a tad pricey but worth it!

As a long time Spots Customer and student in the area I was at first pleased with Mr. Spots and their food. That was quickly changed when for the first and only time I had to call and complain about their food quality, I was refused the bare minimum of customer quality and hung up on after I talked to the manager and told him the fries I paid an extra few bucks for were cold and stale. I was told, verbatim: «We do not guarantee the quality of our fries once they leave the store» and then he hung up before I could get a word in edge wise. That’s completely classless. For the price of the fries being half of any entrée on the menu, receiving cold fries in warm weather is just bad quality and to hang up on a civil customer is bad business. They’ve lost my business and I will tell my friends not to order from them if they can’t be civil with long time customers. Rude mangers and staff with decent at best food is a no go for me.

Mr. Spots is now my favorite sub shop in Ohio. Not only is their food delicious, but the staff is cheerful, considerate, and take the time to make sure their customers are getting the most out of what they have to offer. The counterperson who took my order answered my questions, and took care to ask a first time visitor how they liked their food prepared, making suggestions that were sensible, and not an obvious attempt at upselling. I tried their philly cheesesteak supreme hoagie, and it was first rate. Their waffle fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection. I plan on making many future trips to this establishment.

I’m upgrading to 5 stars. Consistently a great sandwich and excellent service. I have ventured into trying more of the deli sandwiches and love them. Again I can’t say enough about the bread at this place.

I went there on a late night. The environment at 1am is relaxed and chill. All the people were really nice and it looks like the employees got along well. I ordered the Philly Original. I’ve had better Philly cheeses in my day and this was not good. Another reviewer said the steak was Stake-ums and he was not far off. It was just loaded with this American Cheese and the bread was not the least bit toasted, it seemed. The cheese and grease had just soaked right into the bread. If I ever go again I’ll probably sick to the wings or the fried, potato-based products.

While making yet another voyage down I-75, I passed through Bowling Green around dinner time and decided to try something new. Mister Spots did not disappoint, although I was pretty skeptical walking in at 6:30 to a completely empty restaurant. I had the Steak Hoagie meal. The steak is cooked up with some super gooey cheese and onions, and was actually really good. The fresh lettuce and tomato on the hoagie balanced out the cheesy deliciousness quite well. Served up with some hot and delicious waffle fries, I hit the road happy and full – although I was a bit nervous I would be forced to make an emergency pit-stop before I arrived in Cincinnati.

Mr. Spot’s is a case of thinking it was good at one point in time, but having a disappointing return visit. I know I’ve had Mr. Spot’s a couple of years ago. As I recall it was a great hoagie, but my last visit let me down. I picked up a cheesesteak with cheese fries and a pop. As I looked at this cheesesteak, I could have sworn it was Steak-umm. At that point your brain is taking over and telling you what you’re tasting is exactly that. Many other places don’t slice their meat that thin, and it does make for a better sandwich. It’s quite the accusation, as anyone paying $ 6.25 for Steak-umm is getting royally ripped off. It was an awkward moment eating that sub, wondering if they’re preying on drunk uni students that will eat anything. The cheese fries weren’t much better. They reminded me of the fare available at county fairs, and I lost most of my appetite at that point. I’m not sure what else to say. If I were three sheets to the wind, I’d be happy as a lark here. Since those days are over, I might think twice about stopping in again.

By a mile. These guys make the best cheesesteaks & hoagies west of the Schuykill river. No gimmicks, just hardcore food and beer. And these guys deliver them both til the wee hours at night.

Oh, Mr. Spots, we came to love you because of your beer delivery. Then we really tried your cheesesteaks and waffle fries. I love the supreme(lettuce and tomatoes), and the hot sauce one is good too. I’ve been back since the college days and it is truly crack like in it’s addictiveness.

I love their food, but the service is terrible. They are so rude. Not all of their employees are bad, but the handful that are make me never want to return.

After the bars close and you want to finish up the night head over to spots! Amazing greasey food to fulfill any late night craving! Always a social scene and you are bound to see someone you know! Friendly staff that will joke around with you!

Decent food and good late night hours make this the ‘spot’(hardeehar) to go to after a long night of clubbin. The food is decent quality, made quick, and delicious. Being just off the main drag in downtown BG, Spots is rather quiet during the day, but dining in on the wrong night brings out the wacky denizens of BG. The food is quite overpriced — 9 bucks for a single sandwhich, putting you around 15 bucks a head for a full meal(drink and fries). They do deliver late into the night, including delivering beer, a rather unique service, but sometimes is does take quite a while to get there. All in all, the food is good, but the price is heinous for what you are getting, but at 3 a.m., BG offers little choice for delivery.

I’m actually going to do something unusual here. I’m going to literally copy another user’s review as my own. He states, «Nothing innovative or amazing, but very good. A solid place where you know what you’ll get.» This is such an accurate description of this place that it is sad. I’d love to give this place a higher review because I enjoy the food, but there isn’t anything about this place which stands out. If you enjoy consistency and«those good olé places,» then this is a a perfect Philly style sandwich shop.

Bowling Green has plenty of restaurants that I miss from my college days, but Spots is the place I absolutely must visit each time I return to BG. I first tried Mr. Spots back in 1992, as a freshman, and it was only $ 5 for the Philly Original Meal Deal. It’s now almost double that($ 9.25 or $ 9.50, I believe), but the quality remains the same. In addition, they now serve 20 oz. bottles of pop instead of 12 oz. cans. I preferred the cans, but at least they’re not giving me less for more. Also, the meal deal comes with more delicious waffle fries than I can eat. I’ve never, ever, ordered anything but the Philly Original Meal Deal, so I can’t review any of the other menu options, but I’ve always heard good things. Overall, it’s one of my favorite meals. I wish they would open locations elsewhere, but it’s always a reason to get back to my alma mater.
