China Hut

I’ve lived in this area for 20 years and while we don’t eat chinese food often we did use a Chinese restaurant that did delivery. It was okay, expensive, but convenient because delivery. About a year ago we ordered take out from China Hut and were very pleased.
The food was tasty, hot, and we were stuffed afterward. Our normal go to chinese restaurant was making us wait sometimes an hour to have food delivered, and even if I picked it up I had to wait, and they were an 8 minute drive.
China hut is right down the street and the food is always waiting for me when I get there 20 minutes after I call.
They do not offer delivery, the place has not been updated in what seems like 30 years, but the food is good, on time, and the young girl behind the counter who takes the orders over the phone is polite, and courteous.
My only complaint is the price. Dinner for 6 with rice and maybe 3 spring rolls always his almost $ 80. Their space is smaller than a single bay and again, walking in is like a time warp. The place looks like a Chinese take out place from the 80’s. It adds to the experience, I guess.
All in all, out of the 3 or 4 chinese restaurants I’ve tried in the area, they taste the most authentic with a menu that has all the traditional items like lo mein, and noodles.
I like them.

Food was greasy, some of the worst Chinese Food I have ever been exposed to in all my travels over the last 50 years. Terrible and greasy egg rolls, fried rice was clumpy and Sesame Chicken wasn’t that except in name.

I visited China Hut about 10 yeas ago. It was the typically awful Chinese take out one finds in South Florida. Hot and Sour soup that seemed to be 50% oil. About two visits convinced not to return,
Recently, I noticed a very appealing spicy, hot pepper smell coming from the restaurant. I have found this is usually a good sign.
I patronized them for several months, It started well, but the quality slowly declined. The last straw was finding 2 or 3 very long strands of hair in my entrée.
Completely unacceptable. I will never, ever return.
