Love this place. I’m new to this sushi world and this was my first choice. It’s up the street from my house so I figured why not. I’m a vegetarian and they have unlimited choices for me. The staff is very attendant. The ambiance is very nice. And they always present their food wonderful and clean. Even got a surprise flower on my plate. They have a iced green tea that amazing and very refreshing. What stole my heart was the ginger dressing on their green salad. It’s amazing. The ambience is low lighting, and very relaxing. I’ve been here twice and every time I’m blown away. If you’re near by check this place out. Also went w a friend who ate some seafood — and he enjoyed it said it was very fresh. Can’t wait to explore more into the«sushi» world!

I am so sad to write this review. This place has the best sushi I’ve found but last night was just a weird inappropriate experience. We ordered all of rolls and when I tasted the Rainbow Roll to my surprise it had cream cheese in it(never in the years and years I have eaten a Rainbow Roll has any of them anywhere have had cream cheese) I don’t like cream cheese in my rolls, so I went to find our wait person. I explained that I didn’t like it. She then told me that if I refused it that my waiter would have to pay for it, really … First that’s your company’s issue not mine… Second what now I should feel bad and eat something I don’t like??? Well I said I’m sorry but I won’t eat it. If you have ever been here you’ll know this place ISNOT inexpensive rather it is very expensive. I then had to(again) go look for my wait person to order another roll. We were sitting outside. When we got the bill There was the roll ??? Ok so they took off a few dollars but really ??? We spent $ 175 there that night YES I said 2 people 3 rolls an appetizer and a bottle of cold sake($ 50 just for the sake) I am so sad I loved this place but to be treated this way is just not okay

Wow, worst sushi my wife and I’ve ever had. The fish was almost non existent, and tasted fishy and old. We had been told about this palace by friends and just had to try it, only to find out from those same friends that they no longer go here because it’s gone down hill significantly. When we told the waiter that the food was sub par he just walked away and never came back. Instead we had to find another waitress to bring us our bill. Forget this place, there are so many other great places.

Excellent sushi! The fish tasted fresh, and flavorful, and they even had wild caught salmon! Great service as well.

This restaurant has gotten great great reviews from all my friends. However I ate at this restaurant last week and I had asked for a salad and I guess I had ordered the wrong item now they refused to take the item back and also would not come back and check on the table at all during our meal. In addition I asked for something to replace my meal and they denied this and said I had to pay for the meal that was already on the table. We were ignored the rest of our time there, no water refills or check ups. I will not be going back to this restaurant ever again.

This is a great Sushi place in Boynton. My boyfriend and I wanted to try it out because we have heard so many things that«its the best sushi place ever» and so we wanted to see if it tops our sushi place… but to be honest it didn’t, it was pretty standard. Also the service wasnt that great. The food was good but wasn’t out of this world, maybe we will have to give it another try.

By FAR my favorite sushi. I live in delray beach, and even though there is good sushi restaurant local to me, on special occasions I love this place. From the hot tea to the lobster roll to the fried bananas at the end, I am never disappointed.

Don’t underestimate this spot, it is a great location in Boynton Beach. It is tucked back into the back of a shopping plaza but still kind of near the intracoastal. Great food, great staff. A bit small but still really good.

Expensive. I don’t mind spending money on food but it’s a tad over priced. Fish quality very good though. Would go back and stick to sushi and sashimi, don’t order their overpriced specialty rolls, not worth it IMO.

So to begin with, the food is great! Well, most of it. Rainbow roll, miso soup, and seaweed salad were all fantastic. The Volcano roll wasn’t the best. It was wayyyy too chunky and was almost like chicken. Weird. The ginger was minced so small that when I put it in my soy sauce it scattered everywhere! I couldn’t pick up a good piece to eat with my sushi! So annoying Now… The service. It was terrible. Some guy came in with his soon and had his meals way before my boyfriend. Oh yea, they brought my main course separate from him. Like we’re on a date, we want to eat together! I don’t know why this man got special treatment it was obvious that my boyfriends food was late because they had to stop and make this guys meal and his son. Ridiculous. Our server was so boring I could barely hear her talk and she really seemed like she didn’t want to be here. Ruined my dinner. Thanks sushi Simon. Hire some new people and better your service cause your food is good but service is an important aspect.

Fish was good. Sticky rice was awful. Can’t even pick anything up with chopsticks, totally crumbles & falls apart. Good flavor but horrible consistently for sticky rice. Would think they would know better.

Very good sushi and nice atmosphere. A bit pricy but worth it. Four stars since several times we would have liked to sit outside but the temperature is a bit cold for us Floridians. Please add some heaters for the outdoor seating.

The hype is well-deserved… Sushi Simon blew me away with deliciously fresh sushi, a service staff that seemed genuninely concerned with our experience, and a great atmosphere. We had a 9PM reservation, and arrived a bit early. Our table, understandably, wasn’t ready… but the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had drinks in hand. They were a total class act from start to finish. Starting off, we ordered the soup that they had on that night’s special menu, called«The Crazy Lucy», and my wife commented on how it was the best soup she’s ever tasted. This was a spicy miso soup with a generous serving of dumplings drifting among the fresh veggies and tofu. Really good and flavorful. For the main course, we ordered 3 rolls. They all exceeded my expectations. Fresh, tasty fish, perfectly balanced with the other ingredients… and not overly sauced, which is very important to me. Yes, you may pay a little more than you do at your current favorite sushi spot, but I still say that you should pick a special night and enjoy some sushi here. I can’t imagine that you’d regret it.

I found it amusing that this little spot is located directly next to a giant restaurant named rice, where sushi is on the menu. However, after enjoying a lunch here, I get it! They have a good selection of cold sake, filtered, unfiltered, dry, sweet etc. I also like that they have an ever changing menu of rolls and fish that I haven’t ever seen on a menu. For example, I ordered the golden tilefish sushi which I’ve never seen being served. The rolls were great, and unique. A little pricey but worth it. They don’t have bento box lunch specials.

Sushi Simon is a little pricey, but it’s also some of the best, most freshest sushi I’ve ever had. You get what you pay for right? I wouldn’t eat here all the time if I lived close by, but it’s good for a special treat. It’s located in a strip mall and it’s a small space inside, but outdoor seating is also available, though there isn’t plenty of that either. But don’t let that dissuade you! The décor and atmosphere is really nice. I’ve found the service to be great and attentive without being overbearing but I say that only having been here twice — most others seem to not agree. The sushi rolls are a great size, and they put thought into the food presentation. They also have a decently sized drink selection, but I haven’t had any of them. Shame, right? Shame shame shame. Maybe next time.

Woah… I have heard good things about Sushi Simon from a coworker, and I’ve read the positive reviews, yet I am still surprised by how freaking DELICIOUS their food is. I ordered take-out tonight. It isn’t often that I can say«this take-out food has a good presentation,» but tonight, I did indeed say that(in my head… to myself). I included a picture for others to see how nicely laid out everything was. They even took the extra step to add a flower garnish to our to-go food. I’m even pretty sure they use freshly grated wasabi. It didn’t look or taste like the typical bright green, prepared kind. The pickled ginger also looked and tasted fresh. At least if it is canned or jarred, it doesn’t have a bright pink hue, as you can see in the pictures. I’m personally not into eating things which come in unnatural colors, which often signify unnatural chemical additives. Here’s what we ordered: — 1 order of toro sashimi(It was buttery, fresh and oh so delightful. It even comes with its own light sauce, which tastes like sweet soy with a bit of toasted sesame oil) — 2 orders of escolar sashimi — 1 order of hamachi sashimi — 1 Hamachi Jalapeño Roll(this should be called the flavor-splosion) — 1 King Crab California Roll(yes, REAL crab… Notice it is not spelled with a «k») — 1 Crystal Roll Everything was top notch. No fishy smells. No bland, watery fish that had been obviously frozen for who-knows-how-long. Just very tasty, very fresh sashimi and rolls with fast, friendly take-out service. It may be too soon to tell, but after tonight, this restaurant makes the top 5 for best sushi places for BOTH my boyfriend and I. We’ve lived in Dallas and in the San Francisco Bay area(both places have significant Japanese communities). My boyfriend has also been to Japan. I’m not saying we are experts on sushi, but I’m also saying this isn’t our first rodeo. Next time, we’ll dine in.
