Bozeman Inn

We reserved a room via Expedia for about $ 90.
We were so put off by the crew outside the lobby (three guys, drinking/​smoking right next to the door) and the state of the lobby (run down, dirty) that we chose to cancel before checking into our room.
The one star review is for treatment from the front desk when trying to cancel. The guy was short with us, very impatient and not very helpful. It took us about 30 minutes to cancel, and in the end he explained that the hotel often gets charged by Expedia even when they’ve formally had a cancellation, so his frustration was from that.
We ended up at the Best Western around the corner for $ 130. $ 40 more in price for a significantly cleaner and more approachable facility. It all just depends on what you’re looking for!
My advice — if you do stay here don’t book through expedia. And, set your expectations to Super 8 or a bit below, this is not a 2+ star hotel.

I agree with the other reviewers, budget friendly and clean, also pet friendly which is a big plus.
The true reason for the 5 stars was their friendly demeanor and willingness to help strangers stranded due to unfortunate circumstances. We were on a family road trip when we wound up in Bozeman due to a family member needing a hospital. Even though they were extremely full, Doc at the front desk was able to keep us mostly in the same room at a wonderful rate as we waited day to day to see if we would be moving on. We even needed a piece of medical equipment delivered to the motel and they didn’t bat an eye. They received the rather large package for us and held it for pick-​up. It is for all these reasons I would recommend the Bozeman Inn to anyone traveling on their way to Yellowstone. They are friendly and caring and my family thanks them!
This was a much better experience than I had at MountainView Lodge and Suites whose lack of customer service made a stressful time even worse.

For over $ 100, I didn’t expect to have top sheets that were threadbare, with holes, and cigarette burns in the bedspread. The room itself smelt strongly of cleaning agents.
The desk clerk was very helpful with local info., cannot find fault with him.
The adjacent restaurant served great Mexican food.

Rooms were clean, quiet and staff was friendly. If this is what you’re looking for and need a good nights sleep without all the frills and extra cost, then this is the place for you. The only reason we gave it a 4 was due to the lack of parking because the hotel restaurant was packed and the outdated rooms. Have good travels wherever you may roam!

If you want a straight forward hotel room that’s clean enough and with nothing fancy, this is your place. It’s definitely budget-​friendly and in a tourist town, that is crucial. Money should be spent on experiences and fun dinky souvenirs for friends and family, not on the place you will only sleep and shower.
I did an online booking through Orbitz. Everything worked out well. The room smelled fine and was clearly always a non-​smoking room. It was on the older side, but it was clean and that’s all I cared about. It felt secure and my room window overlooked the parking lot. I’m not sure about crime in the area, but I always like to keep an eye on my car.
I even got to chat with some of the other people there and everyone was perfectly friendly. Yellowstone, here we come!

This was a great hotel for a budget-​minded couple! Although my husband and I, who stayed there for 2 nights on an extended vacation to Montana, wished it had been a little cheaper, we found everything else about it wonderful. We had lots of laundry to do since we had been camping and the desk was very accommodating. We also were readily given extra pillows upon request. The room was very clean and spacious, if a little bit dated. The only real complaint we had was with the breakfast; for $ 98 a night, a 2-​bite muffin and some coffee seemed a little bit skimpy. All told, we will definitely stay there again if we get another chance to go to Montana!

No complaints, the room and bathroom were clean and well equipped. Staff was friendly. Reception has free popcorn which wasn’t that great :|. Good for the price.

Awesome motel room for someone on a budget, and we know Bozeman hotels are NOT cheap, ever. Owner is a sweetheart. Also walking distance to restaurants and stores, so you can relax during your stay with everything you need nearby…
