This establishment, much like La Parilla, has gone severely downhill over the last few years. The standard downtown less than a decade ago, the pasta dishes have gotten so watery you might mistake it for Chicken-Noodle soup or a similar dish. The place hasn’t been cleaned since I first set foot in it nine years ago. The teenagers running the show are becoming more apathetic by the year; all too often they are out of toppings you may want. Turnaround needed soon.

Great place with a good vibe and good food. Recommend the Tokyo Hot Pot or 4-Cheese Mac & Cheese!

We ordered take out and I got the green thai curry. The sauce was watered down and it was barely edible. I had a craving for curry, so I was extremely disappointed. It was literally the worst curry I’ve ever had. Staff was nice and the other two dishes we got were fine, but I won’t be eating here ever again.

I had the Korean Beef Salad. It was very spicy. Overall it was ok. Fresh but the dressing wasn’t great. The beef was pretty dry and overcooked. I would not get it again. The photo that was displayed of this salad with what looked to be lots of succulent beef was definitely not what I got. I had to search for the bits of dry beef on the bottom of the salad. My husband got the Pad Thai and said he liked it.

Friendly and helpful staff, always met with a smile when I go. Great dishes, and if I don’t know what to order, the employees are always happy to recommend something. Overall great local Bozeman vibe — has the that family business feeling.

These guys were fantastic 10+ years ago when they opened. Now, not so much. I got their«flagship» dish with scallops wrapped in prosciutto. It was seafood covered in cheese-water. About 75% water, 25% low-grade cheese. In lieu of posting a video online, showing about a pint of water draining from my dish, I emailed the manager. He promised to «send us something in the mail.» That mail has not yet come, 3 weeks later. I guess at a place with no wait staff, where you stand in line for 10 minutes, and bus your own table, you hope for a fairly good meal for $ 15 bucks. Not so. Still, 3 stars, as the lunch special is good(half order of salad, and half order of pasta, for relatively cheap.) Their other location in Whitefish seems to have much better quality control.

We were told about this place from our hotel. We ordered the Korean Style Beef Salad and the Thai Chicken Peanut Apple Salad. The service was fast and the food looked great. The Korean Beef Salad had a wasabi vinaigrette. I do like wasabi and hot sauces, but this vinaigrette had too much wasabi for my taste. I could not finish most of the salad. The Thai Chicken salad was very good.

We had the pad Thai and the Alfredo with chicken. The pad Thai was flavorless and small. I got it with seafood. There were 2 Small shrimp and 2 small scallops(which were overlooked and dry) in the whole dish. The Alfredo had 4 small pieces of chicken and was flavorless also. It was ordered with extra Parmesan, which was a handful of Parmesan thrown on top that never melted. The girl behind the counter never got off her stool once. She was less than helpful. I can’t believe this place is still open. We won’t return and don’t recommend to anyone.

RIPOFF! Gave a 9 year old boy about 7 noodles in his bowl for $ 5 and wouldn’t admit that was ridiculous. Bad business!

The food was very good. We like our dishes. Next time, I want to try the other dishes. Good noodles. You order at the counter and pick up your food. Very casual.

I had ordered Tokyo Hot… Noodles. I was not so happy about it coz the noodles were very dry… the chicken broth was too watery and ran towards a dip. The other thing I did not like is they have ingredients mentioned on the menu boards but when the order is ready it almost has no toppings and they ask you to pick any three toppings of your choice that too free. But in reality these toppings are already mentioned on menu boards except that they did not put all of them. The food was okay to get your stomach filled but not exciting.

This place has been a huge disappointment every time I’ve been(and I keep going back because I really WANT it to be good, and in theory it should be). Their primary issue is that their sauces are extremely watery and don’t stick to the noodles, so you end up eating bland, plain noodles and are left with a bowl of uneaten liquid(which is typically quite flavorful, so it’s a shame that it is inevitably left behind). A simple cornstarch slurry stirred into the sauce and then simmered for a couple of minutes with the noodles would make a world of difference. And I expect the noodles are not well-drained, since even the tomato sauce left a huge puddle of liquid in the bottom of the takeout container — I poured almost a cup of liquid out of a kid-sized portion of pasta with red sauce. The salads aren’t any better — while the dressing was good, the proportions were all wrong and the greens weren’t picked over very well(or at all). I had huge chunks of core in my cabbage, which I had to pick out. The salad was about 98% bland greens and 2% interesting vegetables and toppings, and it was ridiculously enormous. Just cut the lettuce by 75% and it would still be plenty of food and a better ratio of ingredients. Perhaps the creamy sauces are better(the good reviews seem to point to those), but if your specialty is noodles with sauce, you’d better be able to execute all of your dishes. This place is going to be put out of business by Noodles & Co, because even though their food is corporate and standardized, they deliver consistent results and their dishes aren’t a soupy mess. Please improve, Naked Noodle. You have an excellent premise and your dishes have a nice flavor profile. There is no excuse for the basic lack of execution, though.

This is my favorite place for take out. They have amazing pasta dishes and if you are feeling adventurous, no worries about what you choose, all of their dishes are delicious!

One of the worst noodle places I’ve been to. Every sauce is watery soup even Mac n Cheese! STAYAWAY!

Every once in awhile, the hubs and I get a hankering for some noodle-y goodness. Of course we choose Naked, because really who doesn’t like being naked? The environment is cozy, and the service is quick. The first time I went I was surprised that it was a noodle bar. You pick your noodle, sauce and fixings. It was pretty ingenious. If you’re looking to have your mac’n’cheese fill, these guys are it!

I was a 5-star review, but the recent slight bump in prices has me questioning whether I’ll go back. I still love Naked Noodle, but I used to be able to get my favorite 4-cheese mac and the BBQ beef for $ 9.50, now it’s $ 10.50. That $ 1 price jump may not seem like much, but to a college kid it is. Paying more than $ 10 for noodles and a little bit of meat is just too much.

Passing through town. They get two stars for having vegetarian options. Wouldn’t recommend zorba the geek, and the tofu was the jiggly kind that makes others fear being vegetarian. Had that and a salad; both tasted like cooking fails when you are 18 and using what’s left in the pantry. Maybe others dishes are better but regretting our choice.

I ordered the Korean beef salad because I wanted to see how authentic the Korean flavor would be.(I’m Korean.) hm, what can I say? the portion was very generous; the salad was huge and fresh! loved that. the beef flavor was gingery-ish, but I’ve never tried Korean food that tasted like that. the default dressing didn’t help either. it was super wasabi-like. my nose was in flames! Korean beef tends to run a bit more on the sweeter/garlicky side, and my experience with the Korean beef salad was more on the gingery/wasabi side. plainly put: it was not an authentic Korean beef flavor. would I go back to naked noodle? maybe. I appreciate them trying, in a place where there’s major lack of diversity. but, I wouldn’t expect anything very authentic next time. the customer service was great and the portions were generous. although, has anyone else gotten a whiff of the mildewey smell inside? eep… it’s a bit of a turn off, I’d say.

Seriously good food. Whenever I’m back home, I make sure to hit this favorite. Fresh everything, wonderful service. You have to eat there in person to customize it yourself with all their killer fixin’s. Very comfort food-y, but with solid flavors and recipes. I try to branch out every once in a while, but that Four Cheese Mac may truly be a childhood favorite I never grow out of, and when you can add basil, tomatoes, and some parm, who says you need to grow out of anything?

September 3, 2011 Saturday — dinner 7:30PM 2 Adults Atmosphere — 5 stars Food — 5 stars Service — 5 stars Background — I am traveling across country and knew I was having my relaxing dinner in Bozeman. I used Unilocal to find this place. And thanks for all the great reviews; this place was a perfect dinner. Atmosphere — A small restaurant in a downtown building off the main strip. Food Appetizer — None this night. Main Course — Went with Gaucho Combo. Their takeout menu description; Chipotle cream sauce & cavatappi pasta with black beans, corn, scallions, roasted red peppers and tortilla chips. To me it was a spin on the classic mac & cheese. The chipotle gave a hint of heat nothing too much. The beans and corn were not over powering. The combo game with a side salad and I went with the citrus vinaigrette, and it was really good. Dessert — stuffed. Service — The young lady behind the counter was very happy and friendly. The food was served promptly after we ordered. Future — I would love to comeback to this place but so many places look interesting downtown I don’t know how many more chances I will have to visit Bozeman.
