Great little ice cream shop! Took a little effort to find but the history in this place makes up for it. The owner was great to our kids and the ice cream was delicious.

Went to Bradenton Scoop with our children to enjoy some ice cream with a nostalgic feel. Prices were higher than a typical ice cream establishment($ 3.25 for a single scoop, $ 5 for it as a sundae). The nuts on the sundae were spoiled/stale. When I informed the employee of the problem, one would have thought I told him he had a strange growth on his face. With perceived hesitation and doubt, he confirmed the condition of the nuts and replaced the sundae with a smaller cup! My daughter ate 3 – 4 spoonfuls, and I was told that it was about the amount that I should have. Not sure about anyone else, but if I order a $ 5 cup of ice cream with hot fudge and a quarter-size spray of whipped cream(way too little) with a spoiled ingredient, I expect a replacement with the original amounts, less the spoiled ingredient. The ice cream was good, ambiance was OK, but the customer satisfaction was poor. I will never go there again due to overall experience. Even my daughters commented that they would not want to return. They notice things as well. My wife thinks I should give it a 1 star, but it is ice cream, and it tasted good. Visit with appropriate expectations.

Total nostalgic! I love the throwback ice cream parlor era! Throw in the music, the old time memorabilia and yes the old fashion shows and cartoons to go with! Cool as it gets! The ice cream is great! I personally wish they had a peanut butter ice cream(pure peanut butter that is) And the waffle cones are homemade! Yum Stop on in and support the local economy and relive a time from long ago and remember the memories of growing up or stories or how things used to be(for those who weren’t born yet)

Amazing! If you’re looking for an authentic ice cream parlor, then this is the place! Great ice cream, and ambience! They even played Bozo reruns from the 60’s!

Excellent place! Banana Split was awesome. Phosphates were perfect on the carbonation(usually they’re a bit flat) and the onyx bar from the original parlor is awesome.

Lovin’ me some olé fashion ice cream! We came here after a hockey game with another hockey family. It was a little tough to find in a dark, quiet part of town. I almost left and am so glad I didn’t. They had the most amazing ice cream sodas and floats at this ice cream parlor. Reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom would make them. When we walked in, I felt as though I was transported back to the 1950’s. Ahead of us was this huge wooden counter with display cases full of ice cream. It was hysterical to have to explain to my kids(and my South American husband) what half the items were on the menu. What a great throw back! They also had some cool antiques for sale that also served to decorate the place. It was a great place to experience with my kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dessert! Recommend stopping if you’re in Bradenton.

You should enjoy this ice cream parlor. It’s very old-school, and I like that when it comes to food. They have the greatest hits of a few dozen ice cream flavors, but also do phosphates(like Coke, but before there was Coke… and it can be flavors other than Coke… I’m from Georgia; it’s all«Coke»), sundaes and shakes. All of these are done with original antique mixers. You should also take a look around around the shop. There are pictures, collectibles and antiques that anyone but a cyborg would find at least a little interesting. And cyborgs don’t eat sweets.
