Was excited to try this out after mini-golf with the grandparents, but when we got there, their system was down, and they couldn’t sell anything to us. Wampity-wamp… Had to go to the DQ down the road instead.

Yogurt was great. More toppings than I have ever had at this kind of place just needed to have more fruit on the toppings bar, but I find that at most places. Would recommend!

Yum! When you walk in the door they immediately offer sample cups to you. Great selection of yogurt choices and toppings. Yum!

I have been to a few different types of frozen yogurt places and this one wasn’t one of my favorites. They did have quite a variety of frozen yogurt flavors. That was nice they had sweet ones, fruit ones any mood you were feeling you could find a flavor. The topping bar was mostly filled with sweeter options or candy options. The fruit flavors would go well with fresh fruit toppings, but there were only cherries and pineapple. It would have been nice to have a few more options to add to the fruit ones for people who weren’t a fan of the candy, sugary options. But over all it did the trick for my frozen yogurt craving.

So many flavored to choose from! The topping containers were all full and fresh, prices comparable to Menchies. This is further from me than Menchies and Earth Fruits but I’m willing to make the trip anytime!

Yogurt Mountain makes sugary sweet yogurt with rotating special flavors like Blue Cotton Candy and Apple Pie, and provides a huge self-serve bar of candy bits and syrups for you to pile onto it, should that be your desire. If that sounds good to you, by all means, enjoy, but be warned: it won’t necessarily be cheap. If you are looking for tangy, «natural”-tasting yogurt, look elsewhere(though you’ll probably have to leave Bradenton to find it).

We walked in approximately 15 minutes prior to their stated closing time and were told rudely that they were closing soon. We hurriedly got our yogurt, only taking time out to apply for a second mortgage to pay for the overpriced stuff, and trotted out with 5 minutes to spare. It was tasty. It was yogurt. It was frozen.

This is the only self-service by weight froyo place in Bradenton. So far… There is a Sunni-Bunni that just opened on Mantatee Ave, but that is not self service, and also does not have as many flavors to choose from. The prices are quite low, almost half of what I am used to paying at self-serve places– that’s a plus! Yogurt Mountain only has a few sour froyo flavors to choose from and few fresh fruit toppings. Last time I was there, the only fresh fruit they had was strawberries. They cater mostly to children with sweeter toppings and candies. However, some of their American style flavors are seasonal and quite good. Aside from the tart flavors, I also favor their sorbet flavors. I tried the orange mixed with the sour original and it was quite good. I was hoping for more flavors like other places in Tampa have. Green Island in Brandon for example, often has: taro, coconut, mango, honeydew, and lychee flavors. Plus, a large assortment of fresh fruit. Their website is loaded with information as well as a complete menu of all of the flavors they may offer in the future. I would like to try the watermelon sortbet.

This is the best self-serve frozen yogurt place I have ever been to. They had about 10 flavors, from traditional classic, like chocolate, vanilla, coffee, to more interesting like candy cane, espresso, and gingerbread spice. The flavors were bold and clean and the texture was right on(not at all gritty like some of these low-cal frozen yogurts can be). The atmosphere is bright and the place is kept very clean(this is important as a lot of these self-serve places can get kind of messy). And there is a wide assortment of toppings you can add yourself. I would recommend this to everyone. My one complaint is there are none up north, where i live. New franchise endeavor anyone?
