Hadn’t gotten to indulge in this restaurant for awhile so it was pleasant to be able to do so again. Usually opt for just the sausage and gravy but I got the sunrise sampler this time because I was pretty hungry. Eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, grits, fried apples, and a small portion of biscuits and gravy. Nothing was absolutely fantastic but the sausage was pretty scrumptious. Eggs, eh. Come on now. Can’t really be too picky with eggs. These were alright. Ham contained a ridiculous amount of sodium chloride; it could be due to my sensitive tastebuds and abstinence from foods particularly high in sodium and added sugars, but this was as salty as the sea. Grits were shitty. No excuses. This is a country restaurant and the grits would make any southern bloke weep tears of remorse. Would be better off grabbing some Quaker 1-minute microwave grits from Walmart tbh. Fried apples. We’re alright. Seems like just some preserved apple slices contained in some sweet gelatinous goo, reheated individually for each order. Coffee was pretty good though. That’s it. And yes I would go back. I’m just being a prick with my review but I don’t know any where else I could get a hefty portion of low quality food on the cheap. Alles klar?

You don’t come to Cracker Barrel to have 5 star cuisine, but I most say i was disappointed. We were traveling down I-75 and were told that you have to stop at a Cracker Barrel so we did. I got the Country Fried Chicken and decided to go all out with a baked potato, Mac and Cheese and corn. Surprisingly i expected it to be butter and salt all over the place, but i thought everything was rather bland and disappointing. I guess if you are going down I75 its between this and a waffle house go for the Cracker Barrel, but i expected better.

Cracker Barrel is always a favorite. I love the chicken in dumplings! I love this location because the service is always friendly and fast! This location is clean and the food is always great! My favorite thing about Cracker Barrel is shopping at the store after the meal!

My family and I were driving 30 minutes to visit this restaurant once a week. The food has always been delicious and the waitresses so friendly. We also spoiled the kids weekly with purchasing toys from the gift shop and they are not cheap. However, buyer beware before purchasing anything from the gift shop. We made a christmas gift purchase but decided on a different gift. The gift shop item was still in the original packaging with the restaurant price sticker still on it. We brought it in and asked for a store credit since we couldn’t find the receipt. They were only willing to offer us the now discounted sell price even though the full purchase price was still on the package. The restaurant manager’s customer service leaves much to be desired. We were shocked that she, the manager, was willing to loose a regular customer who spends approximately $ 200 a month in the restaurant over a $ 15 refund difference. There are plenty of other restaurants closer to the house that give awesome customer service that we’ve decided to spend our time and money elsewhere.

The food my mother and I had was unacceptable. I had green beans(horribly gray, greasy, and slopped on the plate qalongside a teeny tiny baked sweet potato, loaded with butter(?) and brown sugar, which I did not request. I had also a side of stuffing with gravy. Never in my life before have I had soupy stuffing. My Mother’s «steamed» broccoli was cold and raw. Everything was slopped on plates. won’t ever go back.

You have to ask for: the cream the butter the jam/jellies and when they arrive the portions are stingy. Obvious portion control going on. Food is standard Cracker Barrel, service fine. Why does a sales associate yell across the store, «HELLO!» when you enter? Can’t you just have a greeter by the door? Hash Brown casserole very good, pancakes a little under done, chicken fried steak very good, Friday fish fry is an excellent value. We like to cod, but heard from friends that the catfish is good, too. We appreciate the complimentary gift wrapping/gift bags in the retail section. The clearance corner can have some pretty good things. I am tired of the portion control, even when you ask for more butter, you get a couple of mini-packets.

I am so sad to give cracker barrel a bad review, because I love eating here when I am traveling. FOOD: I got the country fried steak platter which came with 3 sides. I was really disappointed at the quality of the meat. I have enjoyed country fries steak at other cracker barrels just fine but the meat here was verrrry chewy– I might as well be chewing on rubber. I ended up barely touching my steak. Also, I remember cracker barrel serving good homemade(?) jam for their biscuits, but I was provided with none. When I inquired for some, they gave 2 packets of the prepackaged jam for 4 biscuits. PRICE: $ 10 – 13 SERVICE: You pay at the register. BOTTOMLINE: Take a minute to sit in their comfy rocking chairs after a filling meal!

I am writing this review based on the service my family & I just received for breakfast. Our waitresses name was Jami, and I am far from pleased with the way she spoke to us. It seemed as if we were a bother and when we asked basic questions she spoke to us as if we were stupid. She was pushy and rude the entire time. Towards the end of our meal she repeatedly interrupted our conversation with family we only see once a year, pushing our check on us when clearly we were trying to enjoy each other’s company. As the manager of a pub and restaurant, I know it’s the servers responsibility to ensure a memorable experience and she provided far from that.

Ended up here because I was with a couple of friends who wanted to give this place a try. I was looking over the menu and couldn’t find a single thing that looked appetizing to me. I decided to go with the grilled chicken salad because it’s pretty standard and you can’t really mess it up. I guess I was wrong. There wasn’t anything particular wrong with it but it just tasted very meh. Waitress was super friendly though. Will not be back.

There really isn’t too much not to love about Cracker Barrel. I have dined here multiple times and it is consistently good. Consistency is key to me, so that’s what keeps me coming back. Uncle Hershel’s Favorite is my go to meal with Chicken tender, scrambled eggs with cheese and hashbrown casserole. It comes with biscuits and grits. It is really too much food for one sitting, but I enjoy it. Especially great on a cold night when you want comfort food.

This is yet another location of the chain restaurant Cracker Barrel. It is combination of a restaurant and old country store. When you walk through the two sets of double doors you are greeted by a sweet older lady with an apron on. Once inside you will find many seasonal household décor items, clothes, candy and toys among many other tchotchke items. If your coming to eat head to the back left side of the store where you will find the hostess stand. If you go on the weekend prepare to wait 10 – 15 minutes if you go during the prime time. When going into the dining room it is very large and open. There is a fireplace on the far side of the restaurant, however, they only have a fire when it is really cold out. We love to come to this chain for breakfast since it is served all day. Some of our favorites are Mammas French Toast breakfast and Mammas Pancake Breakfast. The French toast you can get on sourdough or on whole wheat bread(my presence is whole wheat). It comes with two eggs, 4 pieces of French toast, two slices of meat(either turkey sausage, pork sausage, bacon or ham) a wedge of orange and 100% real maple syrup. Both of our meals came out in a short amount of time and were made the exact way we ordered and liked them. Will definitely stop in next time we pass through.

Breakfast is an amazing zoo of people but the food is old country wholesome. Love that they offer some smart healthy choices like egg beaters, low sugar fruit spread, and sugar free syrup. Wild blueberry muffins are freshly baked and loaded with blueberries. The hash brown casserole continues to be a personal favorite, too. Shopping through the store is also a treat.

Been to Cracker Barrel many many times and they are almost always consistent. I’ve never had bad service or a bad meal. Food typically comes out fast! Nothin special about Cracker Barrel other than their consistency is great & it’s priced right. I always get breakfast(one pecan pancake, turkey sausage & hash brown casserole), catfish w/orka & corn, or fried shrimp w/fries. And sometimes the Mac-n-cheese which is decently creamy. The only thing that annoys me sometimes is the wait to pay at the register because it’s usually only one or two people working the counter & the process seems lengthy(probably the patrons & not the cashiers… LOL).

Well, it’s Cracker Barrel, we all know it, it’s the place you visit on road trips. We decided to stop(not on a road trip) and have some breakfast the other day. The food is always on par and decent. I haven’t had anything bad from there(don’t order the chicken livers… yuk) per se but nothing is amazing either. Go to Cracker Barrel when you want the fried apples and sawmill gravy. Otherwise, just go to somewhere local and support«mom & pop».

Always have very good service. Waitress alway finds a way to make it cheaper for my friends and I. However I am not partly to their apples. They shouldn’t have skin… But that’s how every cracker barrel does it. I always get apple butter and biscuits sweet tea lean bacon and plain shredded hashbrowns OR fried chicken salad

The blackened catfish was great. Add the turnip greens and some corn bread and it is a good meal! The bathroom is always messy. Management said they have learned to accept it which is disappointing.

Fun! I love a gift shop and diner all in one. I don’t know if I’m reviewing the gift shop, or the restaurant… or if they’re supposed to be one in the same?!? The gift shop was lots of fun to walk through. They had nostalgic old time candy, novelty items, small gifts, toys… all kinds of things. The staff was super friendly. Our group was extremely large(13 people). I was expecting that ridiculous 18% mandatory gratuity for parties of 7 or more, but it didn’t happen! Huge bonus points to Cracker Barrel for that! I HATE it when restaurants implement mandatory gratuities. Let me decide if I want to tip or not. The portions were a good size. The actual quality of the food was a couple of steps above Denny’s. I wasn’t overly impressed with the food, but I wasn’t disappointed either. I had the chicken and dumplings(which I rarely have even seen on a menu). I had nothing to compare it to besides my wife’s brilliant recipe. So, the Cracker Barrel’s rendition didn’t really stand a chance. It’s kind of not fair I guess. Now, we did take home a pecan pie. That pie was absolutely delicious! If I’m ever in a state again that has a Cracker Barrel, I’d be willing to give them another shot. I’m curious how their other main courses taste.

Best breakfast. Busy but they handle the crowds very well. They are all consistently good in service, food and value for the price. Of course I love the gift store and all the candy options! YUM
