O’Shucks Raw Bar & Grill

I’ve only been once, but I can only give one word to describe my experience; Amazing! The place wasn’t very crowded, and the service was great! The oysters they serve are delicious, and aren’t too expensive! The décor and the atmosphere are great, and you will never feel regretful about your experience! The only problem I have with the place is that it doesn’t seem to have much business. Overall, I rate my experience a ¹⁰⁄₁₀! I hope you find my review helpful!

O’Shucks was amazing, I had their incredible oysters, and their amazing ribs. My friend has a birthday that day so we went to eat there, and our waitress stayed after closing time to attend to us. They have a wide selection of food from seafood to American food. Their oysters were absolutely incredible, they were fresh and easy to loosen, plus, their hot sauce made it just that much more special to make the perfect oyster. Their ribs came with some nice and hot barbecue sauce, and tender ribs, made the perfect meal. Everyone was having a great time at O’Shucks, and I definitely recommend it.

I am a little late in this review, but just reflecting on our April trip to Anna Marie island. This place has the best grouper, swordfish and staff that we have experienced in a long time. We ended up eating there three times durning the week. It is rare that you get great food served by a nice staff at a very reasonable price. Check out the happy hours !!

Great draft selection (believe me, I own a brewery.) Excellent craft beers, including many local offerings. The oysters were amazing and extra large. The service was fantastic and the prices were reasonable.

We came for all you can eat crab legs! So hot and fresh! You never have to wait and they give you 2 clusters at a time for each refill. The salad bar is super fresh better than chains and your right down by the beach. Staff was all helping each other so we never had to want for anything. Next time I come back we are definitley going here. It’s all you can eat crab every shucking day! Woohoo come as you are and get messy. It’s fun!

After reading the reviews on Unilocal,Hubby and I decided to stop in for dinner. For the appetizer we had the wings, and I had the whole fried hogfish and hubby had the seafood pizza. Be both enjoyed our meals. Everything was yummy and delicious! The staff was really friendly too.

This place was ok. There are better in the area. We tried the grouper cheeks app. Fried pieces of battered fish — tasty but a little too fried. The red clam chowder was served in a mug — very hot; lots of potatoes but did have a nice bit of chopped clams. Probably won’t go back but…

Started going here after boating and it is a gem. Service is awesome, beer is cold, food is amazing. Oysters are fresh and delicious. We had grouper cheek po boy, greens and fried pickles and they are amazing. All food is from scratch and did I mention the service? Awesome! Keep up the great job!!!

OK, we did not eat here. Walked in, the place smelled like my frat house did on a Sunday morning after a hard night of partying, and walked out. That’s all I can say.

The food here is good honest seafood, prepared to order and super-​fresh! The server is homey and the owner is solicitous. He greeted us at the door, got our kids drinks and checked in with us twice. A great experience and one worth repeating!

We have visited O’Shucks multiple times, most recently a couple days ago. We will definitely keep coming back for the laid back atmosphere, solid food (well above average for some of the seafood offerings), and above average beverages. Also note that this place is surprisingly family friendly for what appears from the outside to be a diver bar. They accommodate the kids, and the packed clientele of all ages shows that appreciation.
For the drinks, the star was a fresh squeezed orange juice margarita. I can’t say enough how awesome this drink was. The juice was perfectly complimented by the tequila. I mean this as a compliment to say that the drink was not over-​boozed. It was perfectly mixed, cold, and dangerously tasty. I could have had another one or half-​dozen if the night went differently. We also enjoyed a Cigar City Jai Lai and Florida Cracker. The beer was well-​chilled and delicious. The only «complaint» on the beverages — and I use that term lightly — is that I would have appreciated another 2 – 3 local beer options.
For the food, we enjoyed a ½ pound of awesome stone crab deliciousness. You really shouldn’t be able to screw these up, but this was so good. It wasn’t served with butter, which I thought was odd, but these claws speak for themselves. We also enjoyed the Buffalo Grouper Cheeks. The heat on these would be «medium» for Buffalonians, and they were well-​fried. Companions also enjoyed a po’ boy, ribs from the smoker, and kids meals. Nobody had a negative word to say. (The kids cheeseburger was like a charcoal briquet, so I’d suggest ordering no more than medium doneness on the burger. Seriously, I don’t know how many times this has happened. Please, my kid isn’t a picky jerk. Don’t torch the burger just because she hasn’t grown to appreciate a less than well done burger.)
Service was good. The place is small, so they are never far enough away to lag. Our server deftly handled a last second change in drink order — from the regular to the orange margarita. Be warned that this isn’t fast food. I wouldn’t call it slow, but each time we’ve gone, it has been a relaxed pace.

We loved everything! The whole staff was genuinely friendly and attentive. Oysters, shrimp, wings, a whole hogfish… who does all of that in one place to perfection??? O’shucks does, that’s who!!! If you don’t order the Hogfish… you’re dumb. The middle size is more than enough for 2. Order the largest for whole table. It’s now on our list of places to travel to just to eat!

E-​V-​E-​R-​Y-​T-​H-​I-​N-​G is so good! Delicious! We had the oysters, shrimp, wings, and hogfish. I highly suggest it. It was amazingly good. Happy hour is only $ 1 off but you should mostly come here to eat. Laid back atmosphere, a few outdoor tables, and tiki bar décor. The dogfish is a MUST have. I would come back here every day if I could.

Wow! Best meal of the trip and we ate everywhere on the key! Go elsewhere for the view… come here for the food!

I never write a review while I’m sitting sitting at the restaurant but this place is amazing. The smoked Mullet was the best smoked fish I’ve ever had. Fish tacos were great, raw oysters were fresh and large. Just a great place with amazing service. Rarely visit the same place twice during a trio, but I might just have to break that rule for O’Shucks.

Awesome fresh seafood at great prices! The Chef brought out a fresh caught gulf Hogfish for my husband’s approval before frying. The raw clams are highly recommended. For appetizers try the huge portion of the smoked mullet for $ 8.95. Happy hour starts at 3 pm. Just wow! We will be back.

Food was great. Hole in the wall surprise of yumoooooooooo. The fish tacos were perfect and even tried the whole hogfish which was really good also. The garlic oysters were to die for its a must stop if you’re in the area
