When rating this restaurant, two stars was captioned, ‘Meh. I’ve experienced better.’ Boy, that description was on point! Robin’s Downtown Café is not trying to fool anyone. It’s a diner! You get your breakfast food and hot coffee… what more do you want? Don’t get me wrong, there’s a certain charm to the restaurant since it’s located in a quiant area of Bradenton.(FYI: You’ll enjoy the atmosphere if you sit outside). Inside is a different story. The place was really out-dated and stuffy; tables and chairs were a little sticky. It’s just unfortunate because our waitress was this an incredibly sweet girl. If it wasn’t for the scenery nor the staff, I would have to taken back a star. The food was incredibly disappointing. The turkey sausage was dried up(most likely frozen), and the Blackstone eggs Benedict was bland and watery. Perhaps next time?

This is a great greasy spoon find. I had the banana pancakes with a side of bacon. The service was quick and friendly, food came out fast even with a large table in the dining room. Nothing fancy, a typical breakfast diner.

This is a great diner! We have gone about 4 times. The staff is very friendly, place is clean and the food is great. Get the hashbrown casserole, it’s absolutely delicious. Good biscuits and gravy too. Always look forward to eating at Robins!

Always a favorite stop when in town for breakfast. Fast paced dinner style service and servers move quick in filling up coffee, getting orders and food to you just as quick. Great sized portions — OK coffee — great service at a great price point. Really wish they improved the coffee — hint hint. The quiche is awesome and a signature dish… Enjoy.

I’m a diner girl. Gotta have breakfast and I love a brown diner coffee cup in my hand. This place doesn’t have brown diner cups, they have big mugs. And no booths just wooden tables. But otherwise this is the PERFECT diner. Waitresses who seem to know all of the locals, breakfast all day(they close at 1:00). I had cinnamon raisin French toast with eggs and link sausage. Big fat link sausage, not pinkie sausage like Denny’s. All cooked and flavored perfectly. Served hot. Diner Heaven.

So glad I found this place on Unilocal. We were visiting the area and looking for a good breakfast spot and found it! This is a downhome, true family diner. The food is super good and the service was very friendly too. If we are in the area again, we’d definitely come for another visit.

The food is very good and reasonably priced. It’s nice to have a choice of sitting inside or outside. Coffee is fresh and hot and my cup was never empty. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and/or lunch.

Food was very good, servers were friendly. Food took a little long to come out for what it was though. HIGHLY recommend the hashbrown casserole.

We thought this was a great place(and a great location). Blueberry pancakes were loaded, omelets amazing and their potato casserole like mom used to make. The staff was wonderful!!!

Great diner/café downtown. Coffee is pletiful, tasty & hot. Food is hearty & well-priced, and there are always creative specials. Make sure you try the hash brown casserole with breakfast! Outdoor seating is another plus, especially for Saturday morning Farmer’s Market.

Stayed in Bradenton for 3 nights in February, came here each morning and not one complaint. This is where you come for your morning basics, and also provides some unique touches on some comfort food favorites. Between myself and parties we ran the gamut: omelettes, egg sandwiches, pancakes, bagel with butter, and corned beef and hash(only underwhelming dish, not a traditional take and not quite worth $ 4.50 as a standalone side). Except for the last item as noted, all were good and a great value at the price. Staff was ultra friendly and responsive, this place is a can’t miss for breakfast.

This place is great. It delivers locally, which is wonderful for anyone who works downtown. The staff is quick, to the point but friendly and recognize my order right away so ordering only takes maybe ten seconds. It’s location is very nice and the inside is definitely bustling. The food is great for the prices. Breakfast is always delicious, the tea is always just right on the sweetness, burgers are delicious and sometimes they throw in free deli pickle. Their specials are also worth noting as are the soups. The clam chowder and French onion are some of my favorites and I’ll always go for them if they are on the menu. Overall, these guys are great. They’re one of the nice local business around downtown Bradenton and I couldn’t recommend them any more highly.

This is NOT an upscale coffee joint — latte’s need not apply — but Robin’s doesn’t pretend to be anything but a nice neighborhood diner where you can get eggs, coffee, biscuits, and maybe some quiche. It was definitely serving a locals crowd, with lots of tables filled with folks who seemed like«regulars». The coffee was hot(though one cup was plenty), the eggs cooked to order, the fruit fresh, and the service friendly. If you need a quick bite to eat in downtown Bradenton, Robin’s fits the bill.

They are kind here, but very passive aggressive. I’ve had breakfast here, but it was generic, flavorless, and for the price, had little to nothing in it. You could eat a better breakfast whilst lost in the woods and forced to fend for yourself in the harsh light of day. That said, they are a café and serve lots of interesting and immensely unhealthy foods to caress your palettes. Go for the calories, not the wake up. Bring cash, too, because although it is expensive for the little amount you get, they require an even more expensive minimum charge just to use a card.

My husband and I love this little restaurant in downtown Bradenton it is just right just to go have coffee and maybe breakfast. There are days when they have specials in the afternoon you can call and check the man you for the day. The waitresses are super nice and glad help you in anyway they can

Contrary to what is written in another review, this restaurant is open on Sundays. I just had breakfast at Robin’s and it was excellent. Bacon nice and crisp; eggs exactly as I wanted and good non-greasy sliced potatoes that I guess were the home fries– not sure since I usually see them diced, not sliced. Portions were quite ample and would satisfy the biggest of appetites. Service was friendly and attentive without being hovering– servers are watching and know when you need something but aren’t in your face 50 times while you are trying to eat. Everything was good and a fruit salad I saw going to another table looked very fresh and delightful. I can’t comment on the other reviews calling the place stuffy– they had the door propped open when I visited and it was perfectly fine. It was a good place to enjoy reading the paper and nursing a coffee once the meal was over, too. It wasn’t so crowded that you were rushed out the door and coffee was refilled several times with no sense of «hurry up and get out». The added bonus was they support local artists by having the work of local artists on the walls. Now, it’s not all great or even good art, but the point is they are giving local artists a place to show their work and that is important. I wish more places did that because it only adds to the vibrancy of a local community. If you are looking for a low key breakfast place with decent food and decent prices, I think this is a good choice. Free parking on Main Street and surrounding blocks. Close to the downtown Marina so you can take a waterside stroll if you are so inclined and work off your breakfast.
