We’ve eaten at Ashley’s 3 or 4 times in the last year, and each time it has been great. Today we stopped for lunch and I had the meatball sub with fries. It was fresh, hot and delicious. The servers are fast, friendly and efficient. We make it a point to eat here when leaving Boston.

I had the American omelet, which was good, though the side of bacon was just ok. I also liked the service, they came by a few times with coffee, which is nice. There were some people but we were able to get a booth right away.

As many other reviewers have pointed out, expect awful service from rude and hostile waitresses. I would be angry at life too if I was a 60 year old diner waitress with a Kate Gosselin haircut and OCD. SOMANY better breakfast options in Braintree. Try Kristin’s in Braintree or Leggo’s in Holbrook-both have great food and friendly staff!

Just OK. If you’re going here for a cheap, greasy breakfast you’ll be well served. Nothing that exactly stands out but an all around good place to visit for early morning fare. Ashley’s has an expansive menu, which can often be a bad sign in the restaurant industry. My recommendation would be to focus on a few key menu items. The food also came out like a minute after we ordered. Typically I would not be one to wave my finger at quick service but me thinks they might be reheating home fries, eggs, bacon etc. Not sure if I’d go back – I can make a better breakfast at home.

My husband had the eggs Benedict and it was amazing. I had the veggie omelette and it was also amazing. Delicious food and very courteous staff!

Great choice for breakfast or lunch with very friendly servers and hot tasty food. Our table had everything from pastrami sandwich to waffles to eggs. It was all good. Easy off from Rt. 3A to get here and there seems to be plenty of downtown parking. Check it out instead of mall food!

Fresh veggies in the omelettes. Let me say that again, because I seriously use this as a jumping point for«well, why is Ashley’s the best breakfast place around?» Fresh. Veggies. In the omelettes. Everywhere else around here I’ve been to? Frozen. When your go-to omelette is broccoli, spinach, and feta, you find out quickly which places keep their produce in the crisper drawer and which ones just pour out some from the chest freezer. Next: The coffee. It’s strong — not bitter, strong. It’s fresh. It breathes new life into me, trickles into my bloodstream, knocks on my hungover brain and says, «OI. YOU, WITHTHECOBWEBS. CLEANUPINTHERE. WEGOT ^&*% TODO.» Waitresses. Experienced, observant, friendly, hustle in their step. Been in the restaurant business before, and I appreciate the hell out of that. Back to the food. Fried eggs? Perfect as ordered. Toast? Nice wheat, good rye, tasty english muffin. Home fries? Seasoned, well cooked, and a decent portion — not overflowing the plate to try to stuff you full and trick you into thinking that gorged = happy. Bacon is crispy, sausages have a great browned exterior and juicy interior. Good stuff. (and by the way, about the dude who got his knickers in a twist about no refills on ice tea? lolololololol. missing the forest for the trees there.)

Who doesn’t like a good breakfast. The problem is that the items we ordered had some short comings Big breakfast — the French toast was cold, the potatoes not seasoned enough and the toast stale and dry. Almost like 2 days old with no cover. The eggs Benedict were fine just here as well a little more seasoning and a little more freshness/hot would have helped. The English muffin was almost burned. Not a place I would come back to. Service was slow and very unfriendly.

Great breakfast options at great prices. We were staying at the Motel 6 and Ashley’s is actually within walking distance. If you drive, parking will likely be tight. Inside is small, so you might be waiting for a table depending on when you arrive. Good news is the food is both good and fast and the prices are very fair. Came here as a recommendation by the motel staff and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend for breakfast. Make sure you take a peek at the wall for the specials.

This is a pretty good neighborhood breakfast place. Its got good menu and the quantity is very filling which is good enough for a brunch. On top of everything price is very reasonable. I will definitely recommend the place. Service is polite and very friendly.

No refills on ice tea… this is the last time they will see me. Foolish business decision.

Great place! Had the monkey French tosay and my boyfriend had the wine country stuffed French toast! Both were very good. Also reasonably priced!

Great little place. Low key. Low budget. Good food. Big plates. A locals’ favorite. Staff is friendly and special list keeps changing. Usually always a seat available.

Do not, I repeat, DONOT order anything except for breakfast foods here. My sister ordered a chicken panini and it came out on a hotdog looking bun and tasted like defrosted chicken cutlet. Mom ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and the buffalo sauce was so spicy, it was inedible. We also ordered a Caesar salad and it was shredded lettuce with wayyyyy too much dressing. It was sad. I ordered the Greek omelette with home fries and cinnamon raisin toast and it was phenomenal. I really think they should have a warning sign so everyone who wants a sandwich or lunch item will skip it and stick with the breakfast foods!

The reviews say it all. It is a cute diner. A little worn down with a devoted group of regulars. The service is good and the breakfast fare is average. The omelets are the best thing on the menu. They are slightly above average. My biggest knock on the place is their tea selection. All they have got is lipton. Bottom line: It is worth it if you are in the neighborhood or one of their regulars. Yet, when push comes to shove, Kristin’s is a whole lot better as Braintree breakfast and lunch diners go.

Great breakfast spot that is consistently good. They have the best omelets in town and the staff always have a smile. I look forward to my Saturday mornings here at Ashley’s Try the Greek omelet!

Came here last Saturday. Small family type place in Braintree Center. Parking was on street and was a little tough on a weekend. We chose to sit at the counter and service was prompt and friendly. I found the menu to be a bit limited. There were a lot of a la cart options but not many traditional breakfast combo meals. I chose a bacon egg and cheese on an english breakfast sandwich and a side of pancakes. L had eggs, sausage and hash browns. I very much liked my sandwich. There was a good amount of bacon and it. I would go back and get it again. The pancakes were okay. Not bad at all but definitely not great. L however really disliked his meal. I tried his eggs and they were pretty bland. The sausages also looked almost microwaved. He wasn’t a fan. We probably wouldn’t be back since he didn’t like it but I would go back just to get the breakfast sandwich.

I enjoyed stopping here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. The food prices were really low, and the choices plentiful. I ordered the«healthy breakfast» which had 2 egg whites, wheat toast, homefries, and turkey bacon. The staff was friendly and the meal came quickly. I had no problem finishing my meal within a ½ hour so I could get to a nail appointment at the spa next door. The kitchy decorations made me smile, including an ode to their«romeo» club — retired old men eating out. Also, there’s a free municipal parking lot across the street, so there’s no problem finding parking.
