Usually visit Jimmie Johns a couple times a week when I’m in the area. I use the online ordering so my order will be ready when I want it to be… Great food and friendly workers!

Love Jimmy Johns — I drive 40 minutes from home to get subs here! Their bread is so fresh and the best around. I love the veggie sub with sprouts, avocado and provolone cheese. Their roast beef is incredible as well. Great selection of veggies. Staff are quick and friendly, and the location couldn’t be cleaner. By far the best subs around

This review for the new Quincy Center location – Let’s be honest folks, this is the same sh*t you’re going to get at your local pizza hole. Shredded iceberg lettuce, Hellman’s mayo, some slippery cold cuts, and a couple slices of tomato on a French roll. That’s it. However, Jimmy does know how to kick-it-up a notch by drizzling on some Italian Vinaigrette, and if you ask you might get a dash of some oregano on there. That I do appreciate. Also they have the obligatory«California» subs with the smashed avocado smeared in it and some sprouts. So cool. I will say that the place was very clean, they have a decent potato chip collection, and my submarine was enormous. It was like carrying a 5lb dumbbell(I got the JJ super-loaded meatfest extravaganza or whatever its called). The french roll does have some nice structural integrity too. Nice chew on it, and didn’t become soggy from the mayo. I will check if I have blood in my stool tomorrow and if not I will go back sometime and try another one.

Don’t waste your time or money. These are Subway like sandwiches on factory tasting thin sub rolls priced 3 $ too high. I took my 2″ thick(fully made including roll) cold BLT home(who doesn’t heat up the bacon in a BLT??), microwaved it and tried to doctor it up a little and it was still mediocre at best. Local pizza joints do better subs.

Pretty average sub… I got the #7 ham club. D’angelo’s and subway are both much better. The bread is hard and tears while eating it.

This place is the real deal. We(office girls) have ordered a few times from this location. Today’s order was freaking amazing! I ordered the Beach Club on homemade wheat. It was HUGE, and the bread was absolutely delicious. I would love a slice of that bread toasted for breakfast. The sandwich itself was excellant. Lots of fresh ingrediants. My office mate had the tuna on a lettuce wrap. She too loved it! As far as delivery you really can’t beat it. I’m not entirely sure how they are able to make the sandwiches so quickly and deliver them. Maaaaaaybe 20 minutes? When we have a limited time for lunch it is really nice to be able to depend on a fast delivery. I highly recommend this shop, be sure and get the wheat bread!

I acknowledge that 5 stars is a lot for a sub shop, but though Jimmy John’s are very consistent from location to location they are not your typical sub shop, and I love me some Jimmy John’s. I had my first one in Morgantown, WV after watching a WVU football game and a few beers and fell in love with them. What makes JJ’s different is that they make a large variety of subs according to what I guess you’d call a recipe with names like Turkey Tom, Totally Tuna, Bootlegger, etc. You can alter the combinations and add or subtract toppings as you like, but the suggested recipes are all pretty good as they are, and I have found that combinations I would not have thought to have tried are really good. Though not all locations such as the one in Morgantown have sprouts, due to supply problems, the ones around Boston do and though I’m no tree hugger(actually I do love trees) I love sprouts on any sub that has mayo on it. The rolls are made on premises and are tastier than the average sub roll, they also will make any sub as a sandwich on seven grain bread slices or for carb watchers in a lettuce leaf wrap that a friend of mine really liked. The location in Braintree is trying very hard by having lots of help, who are pleasant and engaging and the service is fast and getting faster as they gain experience. Street parking can be tight, though a parking lot is right around the corner and they do have delivery. Though there is lots of competition in the area, I’m rooting for JJ’s, because they are unique, delicious and honestly, the only sub sandwiches I would eat unless I was on the road, far from home and in serious need of food.
