Yesterday, I went to this Lane Bryant to return a few items that didn’t work out for me. The manager, Bella, was amazing. She helped me through the return with respect and kindness. Such a gem! After dealing with my return, I decided to browse the store because l believe they truly deserve my business. I got a lovely pair of shorts for an upcoming vacation. I would have gladly bought them in every style but they only had one available in my size. The cashier that rang up my order was just as lovely and delightful as her manager. I found her to be open and receptive to a customer’s needs. I like that! I am convinced that I will be returning to this store soon. Thanks, Bella and staff!

Being a Big Girl I LOVE Lane, its actually the only place I will shop… I have been to just about every Lane from Maine to RI(Eastern Sides)… I tend to find a shirt in one store that doesnt have my size, so I drive to every Lane I know to find it & I get ridiculous coupons & to me that means I NEEDTOUSETHEM!!! So Im in A Lane at least weekly, this Lane I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, but I HATE the mall that it is in…(I just found out today there is a door RIGHT near Lane so I can park there & Come in & then Leave Fast… I might frequent this Lane more now… Well let me get to it, Having been to 1,649 other Lane stores, this might be the biggest one I have ever been to… It is set up absolutely wonderfully. It is casual & jeans over on one side & then More Dressy & Lingerie to one side, there are several seats for the dressing rooms which are also amply spaced… I have never had an OMG get out of my face experience there with the reps as I have had at other spots… I would LOVE to give Lane 5 stars, I just dont love shelling out a rather large portion every time I go, considering to me this is the ONLY spot to buy Big Girl Fashion I am forced to go here(I wont do any of the fake, Cheesy Plus size Bullshit that other stores sell ie. Dots, Tellos, Rainbow — thats all CRAP!) I Love Lane and their styles are always Perfectly Up to date & Very Fashionable, I just want more Clearance and this store has TONS of it, its just soo much that I cant seem to dig through without it all falling on the floor… So I will be back again and again!!! I recommend you stop in & check it out!

I, like most women, am a size 10. In the glorious Gap, a size 8. In motherfucking H & M a size 14. In Jacob, an 11⁄12. Whatever, Europe. Point is, I’m average. When there’s a sale, my size is always first off the racks. Am I right? Ahem. So every time I walk into a clothing store, some skinny bitch gives me one of two greetings: a overly-cheery, commission-hungry, «HI, WELCOME, LETMEHELPYOUYOULOOKGREATINTHATYOUDON’T NEED A BIGGERSIZENOWEDON’T HAVEITIN A BIGGERSIZEBUYBUYBUYSO I CANKEEPMYJOBOHLOOK, A PENNY» or, if you live in Boston and/or Toronto: a heavy-lidded, almost-nod on the way to ignoring me full stop. One time at Risqué in Toronto, a stick-thin salesgirl only acknowledged my presence to tell me that the dress I was wearing«ummm…wasn’t really made for [my] body type…» Ladies. We’re more of us meaty. Be nice. You can imagine then, the girlish thrill of walking into Lane Bryant. First the superficial stuff – yes, it is nice, as an American woman of a certain size, to have all the clothes around you start at a size that’s just a little too big. But going deeper, I LOVED the atmosphere of this place. Big, beautiful women selling clothes, boosting each other’s confidence, genuinely wanting everyone who walked in and out to feel good about themselves, their bodies, their purchases. Salesgirls who seemed to know a thing or two about proper fit. No blushing cheeks or avoided eye-contact. As I walked out, I noticed the curvy size 10 mannequin slouched coquettishly in her lacy lingerie, and though, «wow. She’s hot. And… kinda looks like me!» This could save the world.
