I haven’t eaten here in a while but I was alittle disappointed with our meals today. I ordered a turkey burger which was alittle on the dry side and my husband ordered fajitas which was alittle odd with all this sauce all over it .my daughter ordered potato leek soup which was tasty but salty. Our waitress was alittle cut and dry. I’m not sure if they were having an off day because they were super busy or the kitchen was having an off day.

The service was good. The waiter was very nice and the food came out quickly. There were lots of different options on the menu. I ordered the Buster($ 11.99?). It contained roasted turkey, corned beef, Monterey jack, cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and house aioli on top of a pretzel bun. There was also a side of fries. The sandwich was very messy and the pretzel bun only had half a bottom, which was odd. The pretzel bun was my favorite component of this sandwich even though a quarter of it was missing. The aioli was a nice complement with the meats and cheeses. Regarding the meats, the turkey and corned beef were both very delicate, but I did not personally like them together. The fries were tasty. They were seasoned just right and had a nice crisp to them. There was plenty of fries for the basket. Will I go back? Yes I would.

Three stars seems absurd. Fantastic happy hour, TONS of options, logical prices — REVERSEHAPPYHOUR?!? Genius. I’ve lived in Bedminster my whole life and came here once a million years ago when it was Cryan’s(boo). Even my MOTHER liked it. I texted a few of my friends(I haven’t lived in the U.S. for quite some time) asking for recs(her parameters: a GREAT burger, inexpensive beer… And where I won’t see anyone we know) she was — DELIGHTED. She got the angus burger and chop salad — w a $ 3 coors light. I got taco Tuesday taco triad. It was a GREAT experience all around. Keep it up, guys.

Very underwhelming. Irish bar, right? So I went with the corn beef and cabbage, not the most tasty thing in the world. Also had an appetizer trio, don’t even remember which ones, quite forgettable. Lastly. I was disappointed that the waitress, though nice, couldn’t adequately explain some of the beer selections. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend others to dine here and will most likely not return myself.

I had a good Margherita Pizza and they made a nice sangria. Good service and a nice outdoor deck. I would return.

This review is based off of a few visits here. I’ll start by saying that the service is wonderful. We have had amazing waitstaff and really positive interactions with management. Plenty of parking here. Lots of tables and bar space. Even some outdoor tables to plant yourself at on a nice day. We sat outside recently for Sunday brunch. We ordered some wings and a potato chip nacho type dish to start — they were both good bar style apps. From there we all decided to order off of the brunch menu which advertised a complementary Bloody Mary. We wanted to check out the build your own Bloody Mary table they were advertising. It could be the fact that there just wasn’t much buzz around it but this concept kind of missed the mark here. For the main meal I had the eggs Benedict. Certainly not the worst I’ve had — the eggs were done well but the potato cake that came alongside left a lot to be desired. Everyone else was happy enough with their meals but there was nothing that stood out. When the bill came, it was brought to our attention that the brunch selections only come with a bar made Bloody Mary. There was an up charge if you wanted to build your own. Since this wasn’t communicated to us our server was happy to take it off the bill. It’s just a strange thing to charge a different price for each option. We all agreed we would like to try brunch at a few other spots before coming back here again.

Stopped in for dinner with an old friend on a Monday night. It was quiet enough so we could talk and get caught up. Reading the other reviews, it seems that this place can be pretty different depending on the day of the week. For our purposes it was perfect. I had the Reuben which I enjoyed. It paired well with the Scotch ale they had on tap. It was a bit dark in the restaurant and a little warm. Our waitress(Mary) was a pro.

Just had a great lunch, even during Happy Hour! Liza, a lovely young woman with a warm smile, took care of my drinks, and the Chef, Carlos(aka Freddy) was a great host, as was the entire kitchen and wait staff! I got to try a seafood soup that was so good, with fresh shrimps, scallops, and other delectable goodies! The HH sliders were very good, with cheese and sweet onions, and a cup of potato leak soup was fabulous! This was before the seafood soup treat! I was staving and now I’m happily sated! I will return with friends and family! I also want to thank my friend Allie for the recommendation to try their food! I loved it! Overall, the place is clean and spacious, you have a large variety of television sports and entertainment throughout, and any number of seating arrangements from bar seating, to smaller settings, larger dining areas, and an outdoor space that I’m loving to try! Come one and all!

I don’t expect the best food in the world when coming to an Irish bar, but I didn’t expect the food to be so meh. Maybe because what I ordered wasn’t Irish food? Could that be it? Starting with the onion ring appetizer, wow. DON’T order these. It is a bad idea. These are breaded beyond what is necessary for how little onion they give you. It doesn’t make any sense to me. We tore most of the breading off it because it was just eating fried bread and a hint of onion. It was highly disappointing considering I am a huge onion ring fan. The spinach artichoke dip wasn’t too bad, pretty tasty but the pita slices? They were stale. The chips were fine to eat but not the pita. Entrees? Fish and chips, again breaded too much and a bit too greasy. I ordered the shrimp entrée and it wasn’t terrible, just nothing spectacular. Maybe the actual Irish food is better because it’s an Irish bar, but I probably won’t eat there again. As for service and drinks, I would definitely say it’s good. Nothing terrible but nothing over the top. We got drinks quickly and they weren’t super expensive. The parking sucks a bit when it is busy. There is a back parking lot but it is just a lot, no real lines so people suck at parking.

I’ll give the servers a nod for effort and polite professionalism. The footprint is fine for a large, commercial pub, and parking is adequate. The food in Willie McBride’s is consistently a hot mess. This time we ordered french onion soup — flavorless. The nachos w/beef was terrible. The biggest disappointment was the plate of corned beef and cabbage. The cabbage and potatoes were undercooked and cold. The plate was stacked with long boiled carrots and under supplied with dry corned beef. Every few months we are forced to go back. At least they are consistent.

Food is great here. I had been here a bunch of times for drinks but had never eaten anything from the menu. Since it’s close to my house we figured«Why not?» and gave it a shot for dinner. The specials were good, service has always been decent and the portions match the price. It doesn’t get 5 stars in my book because of the night life. I know it’s a bar but if you’re looking for a place to just hang around and chill, get ready for an early night because once the band or DJ starts its too loud to talk. But if you’re looking for a place with live music, it’s worth checking out.

Really lovely night here! It was date night and they seated us next to the fireplace… so perfect and cozy. Got a jalapeño margarita that was a little too sweet for my taste but my boyfriend enjoyed his Magner’s cider a lot. Sliders were a little lack luster but the pesto chicken wrap was very delicious. We will definitely be coming back for another yummy dinner service.

Dining Date December 17, 2014 for lunch. Great half pound burger, cooked perfectly and served quickly. Excellent place for lunch if you want to get out of the office and get back quickly. Service was fast and friendly. Fair prices.

We stopped in for lunch on the weekend and had a fantastic time! Décor: It is a pretty standard bar/restaurant, but it is very large. There is plenty of space for any size group you could imagine. The one thing I would say is that is is a bit dark… they could use a bit more lighting. Other than that, it seemed clean and didn’t reek of too much stale beer. Bathroom: Standard for a bar, but clean. Staff: Our waiter was fine, maybe a bit slow. But he may have been the only one on duty b/c of the time of day we were there(about 1 or 1:30p). He was very nice though. Food: We came for the wings and the wings only. We had the jerk-style and they were DELICIOUS! Seriously, they are amazing. In fact, they are literally the second best wings I have ever had in my entire life(and I eat A LOT of wings). They came out hot(temp wise) and the skin was nice and crispy(they were baked). The flavor of the jerk season… out of this world! Man, I could go on and on here b/c they are that DAMN good! Oh, and we washed them down with none other than RC cola. YUM! Value: I don’t remember but it doesn’t matter, the wings are worth it and the RC cola is the cherry on top. I cannot wait to come back for more wings. CAN’T. WAIT.

Wife and I were starving after going to Villa Milagro earlier in the day, so I thought we’d try Cryans since we hadn’t been in years. Aaaaaaand Cryans is gone. Ok. We’ll give Willies a shot. The place was dark. Like, «someone please open a window or turn on a light» dark. The bartender(never got his name, bald, glasses, beard) was nice enough, didn’t go out of his way to welcome us or offer menu suggestions, but he didn’t ignore us so… yeah. Tried their buffalo wings, which were pretty good. Maybe they could use a bit less black pepper. Wife had pulled pork sliders, I had a burger. Burger was very good, cooked medium, but didn’t include lettuce or tomato or onion, which I had to ask for. Sliders were also good, ended up taking the leftovers home. Fries came with both dishes. These fries. These fries were awful. Either fried at the wrong temperature or just left sitting in the basket soaking up grease, they were some of the worst fries I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone. In addition to being just a greasy disgusting mess, they were over-cooked. We live nowhere near this place and we will not be returning.

Dunno why the bad reviews. Lunchtime had the Guinness and Irish breakfast and the Guinness was fine but the breakfast was really good and I’ve had them from my Irish mother in law in Cork and a load of places in the USA and beyond. …sausages the best in the USA … Now for the complaining bits There ain’t any place is ok

I likely wouldn’t have walked in here on my own. Mostly because I don’t live around here. My best friend was celebrating her birthday last weekend and wanted to grab some beers, so she chose this place. We walked in and a bouncer-like man barked for IDs at the door then stamped our hands. We were then granted access to… An odd Irish pub. I assume the vibe is different during the day or even on non-Saturday nights. But on this particular night, a DJ was pumpin’ out obnoxiously loud top 40 tunes(of today and yesteryear) as flashing lights lit up one side of the place, while several TVs offered up sports views over the bar. The bar also boasts a digital countdown clock to St. Patty’s Day in case you were itching to know. We found a couple of open bar stools and chose beer flights. She had the IPA, I had the American Pride. She liked most of the ones from hers(I can’t remember what she had), and I most liked the Brooklyn Lager in mine. I really wouldn’t recommend the Shiners. It tasted like I was drinking bacon grease. Magic Hat and Kane were good, though. So in all: a good choice at ¾, and cheap! The rest of the beer list was pretty solid too. I also had a Troegs Sunshine Pils before leaving. Plus the bartenders were on point. Despite always being busy, they made sure we always had our drinks(plus water!) so that was great. Definitely not a bad spot overall, but the DJ portion was off-putting. Or maybe I’m just getting old.

Yes. A-OK. By A-OK I mean it was just OK. I like my Irish Bars Irish not a Bennigan’s throwback. The place was way to dark. The beer I ordered was nice and cold but the chicken sandwich was on stale bread and had very little taste. The fries were ok. The bartender was easy on the eyes so that was a plus. The food will not make you sick, the place is clean and there are ample TV’s but all in all a big Meh.

Came through to this spot, friend invited me out on a Friday Night. Come to find out they were celebrating their three year anniversary which may explain the $ 5 charge to hang out in the bar area. My friends were inside dinning and I planned on dinning so I wasn’t paying $ 5 to get in, so I didn’t. Atmosphere was warm and cozy as the fire place was lit up and blazing. Very Irish Pub look and feel, brick and wood. Lots of flat screens throughout the place running the Yankees game. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak which comes with a side of fries. Just to put something in my stomach for the drinking. Cheesesteak was a total disappointment. It was dry, more bread than onions and more onions than chicken. Check out the pic! It was just BLAH. Felt like I was duked. Fries were good though! Inexpensive meal. To celebrate the anniversary they had a DJ from Atlantic City, his set was nice. So was the other Djs before him. Had a decent size dance floor for a pub that hosted a couple of dance offs. They have a small outside patio, which was the smoking area for the evening. They also have a downstairs that seems to not be utilized often because of the lack of crowd, that was stated by one of the guys who work there. Maybe they should throw some pool tables down there or something. Prices are decent for drinks in my opinion. Beer $ 4 and my Jack & Coke was $ 7. Overall it was okay. if you’re coming here to drink and chill at the bar then you’re good. To eat? Be mindful of what you order I guess. To dance? Get down with your bad self.
