Limited menu, but food was tasty. Serves was great. Will return to enjoy something else on the menu.

I eat at a lot of diners probably weekly, i had heard both really good things and really bad things about this one. Finally trying it I have a couple notes, First the waitress was really good(name was Kayla I think) the soup was average to good, the coffee was probably the worst coffee is ever had seriously not fresh but the food I had a burger was really good! I’d say give it a shot!

I have been here on 2 occasions. The first time was back in 9/2015, had brunch with my 4 yr old. We both got bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll.(Our favorite). But there was something gross about their bacon. Reminded me of bacon flavored thin plastic. Decides to try it again with the whole family recently. Bad idea. It seems that they may have been short staffed that evening, not sure. Our waitress seemed bothered to serve us, like annoyed.(Everyone has a bad day, so no judgement there). My husband ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans. When it came out I knew it wasn’t going to taste good. It was dark brown and dry looking. He tried it, man will eat just about anything when hungry. He made a face and offered me a taste. I tried it, tastes like overcooked London broil. Quite gross. His green beans tasted like a can was opened dumped into a pot and heated. Canned water and all. No flavor other than salty can. Mashed potatoes were bland and basic. My daughter who ordered a BLT, was grossed out. Apparently the bacon is made the same way as last time. It didn’t come with fries, even though the waitress said it did. My chicken franchise was, eh. Came with a mountain of spaghetti. It said it was supposed to come with(on the menu) soup, salad, potato, and vegetable. The waitress argued with me and I showed her where it said it. But when she brought it out she said it didn’t bc it came with pasta. I would have traded the pasta for some fries. My son got fries with his grilled cheese. Some of the fries were black, like beyond overcooked. Waitress came to the table 8x and didn’t refill kids drinks(which were right in front of her with tops off) until we asked her nicely 2 different times to do so. Never even offered to refill ours. My daughter politely asked for crayons and waitress said yes, but never came back with them. The kids got soft serve ice cream and it was delicious. We won’t be coming back here. On the bright side we didn’t have to pay for the prime rib, but husband was starving.

We went to see my 96 year old great Aunt Annie, and afterwards, we stopped here. It was raining out so we decided to use the drive through. I went with a large twist cone and my mom and brother got a scoop of hard ice cream. Total was just under $ 10.00. The good– Huge ice cream cone! They hooked it up! It was creamy and rich and tasted great. The lady working the drive through counter was incredibly nice and friendly! The bad– About halfway through my ice cream cone, I was taking a lick and noticed something solid. I took another lick and then looked down and saw something poking out of my ice cream. I pulled it out and it was a 2 inch piece of plastic wire! Looked like either a fishing line or the type of plastic you find on tags when you buy clothes. Whatever the case, I was shocked when I found it! I pulled it out and continued on my ice cream, but if this cone was for a kid, or if I had whoofed down my ice cream without finding it, this thing could have done some possible damage if it had been swallowed. I understand that shit happens, but a piece of plastic shouldn’t be found in ice cream… ever! For that fact alone, I doubt I would come back to this spot. Too bad because the ice cream and service was actually really good!

This review is for ice cream. My wife and I were traveling back to Hudson county after a long day of tubing on the Delaware River and we came across this cute diner on the way. The ice cream shop was perfect for a late afternoon treat. I got the root beer float which was nice and refreshing, but nothing spectacular. Bottom line, the ice cream was solid and the staff is nice. I would come back here for more ice cream.

What can I say about Jumbo Land!, For starters I’ve been stopping by almost every time I’m in the area, since their humble beginnings, The Food? Oustanding! the portions? More then enough! the price? Shocking that they turn a profit… I have introduced family, friends and colleagues to Jumbo Land and will continue while I still traverse the area. Their service is something to be copied by other establishments, no matter how crazy things may be, they are always friendly and attentive. Great formula owner, keep it going, treat your employees right and you will have created a local legacy. And watch out for bears, hahahaha

This place is great! From the food inside to the drive thru ice cream, it’s all delicious. The waitresses are always well informed and pleasant. We stop by every time we’re in the area. If we’ve eaten already we stop by for their ice cream.

We stopped in for a late lunch while passing through town and found a real gem! The food was delicious, the portions enormous and the service friendly. I had the Cha Cha Burger which was a burger with melted American cheese and mushroom gravy. It was perfect-I ate every drop! My BF had the jumbo Italian hot dogs and we should have heeded the name jumbo because one was a real meal. I finished my meal with a small vanilla moose tracks sundae, which was excellent. I wish I could pick up the Jumboland Diner and put it next to my house. I would never cook again!

Thier food is like old fashioned diner food without the diner prices. Breakfast is delicious and quickly served. Large enough facility to handle high volume crowds with ice cream service in the summer.

I was beginning to think that the great old diners of NJ vanished, until I found Jumboland. There is nothing bad here. The food, the service, the prices, and it’s quality. I’ve been here multiple times now and felt I needed to post this. I’m a firm believer that the greatest food comes from diners. The staff is very friendly, and the food is consistent. Great coffee, it’s like time forgot about this great diner.

We stumbled across this place by mistake. We took a different way home from our place upstate and it was the best decision. We will make this a frequent stop. I had a car load of kids and one of them wasn’t feeling well from being in the car and having empty belly. I saw the sign and walked into a very bright and clean restaurant and was welcomed by a very friendly staff. I ordered 4 children takeouts(each less than $ 5) and that came with drink and dessert! They had me out the door in about 10 minutes. We will def be back! Thank you Jumboland!

Comfort food in big«jumbo» portions! Great diverse menu! Long list of all time favorite meals. Quick and friendly service. My meal portion was so large I took home half. We had nacho appetizer, I had a turkey club with fries, husband had a daily special meal that came with salad bar, soup and dessert, we both had an iced tea all for less than 40 bucks! This was not our first visit to Jumboland and will not be our last.

We visited this place during a MINI drive and I gotta say the food and service were both good. It’s a well established local diner and I would visit again.

I was disappointed with my breakfast. I ordered the three’s company. My pancakes were huge but they were chewy and had no flavor. The pancakes didn’t seem to be cooked all the way through and the lack of flavor is because it must have been a water based pancake mix rather than buttermilk. The place definitely skimped on the small details…

Yuck. Just… Yuck. Polite staff, but horrible food, horrible ice cream, horrible everything. Best I can say about them is that they are better than that even more horrible diner up the street.

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Sussex County! The food is always fantastic, the prices are always low, and the service is always great. My go-to is the taylor ham, egg, and cheese with curly fries(they’re delicious), but I’ve never had a meal here I didn’t like.

Had tasty meatloaf special. Wife’s roast chicken special came out bloody. Had them take it back and they further cooked the same chicken. Came back dried out, but fully cooked. Talked to manager & got the meatloaf instead and was happy with that.

I found this little gem only because my husband decided to take another route home from PA this afternoon. It was Visiting Day at my daughters camp in Honesdale, we were completely stuffed after having a big BBQ lunch, yet my little picky eater ate absolutely nothing and was famished, so we were looking for a place to stop for her to get a bite to eat. Pancakes was what she wanted, but all the places we passed along the way offered lunch and dinner only. Finally, we see Jumboland with their big sign out front … breakfast, lunch and dinner! We walk in and I’m struck right away by the coziness and country town feel of the place. I loved all the little league plaques proudly displayed on their walls of the local teams they support. The diner is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Cindy is the head waitress and made sure I had a couple of take out menus to take home with me, and our waitress went out of her way to make copies of the ice cream menu for me, as they didn’t have any. I really wished at this point I didn’t partake in that BBQ lunch. I could tell by all the entrees that were being brought out that Jumboland delivers delicious food and very generous portions. Their menu is extensive: Breakfast consists of Farm Fresh Eggs, Specialty and Creative Omelette’s, Breakfast wraps and Sandwiches, Breads, Muffins, Bagelry and different types of Pancakes, French Toast and Waffles. Lunch choices are Super, Triple Decker and Panini Sandwiches, Gourmet Wraps, nice selection of Burgers, Hot dogs, Pita and Gyros. Dinner choices are homemade Soups and Chili, Cold Platters, «Waist» Watchers and Diet Delights, Chicken Buckets and Dinners, Italian Specialties, Roasts and Entrees as well as Seafood, which is ALWAYS fresh. There is also a very nice salad bar in the dining area. We ordered the Banana and Chocolate Chip short stack. They were so loaded with each it was more than enough food for the three of us to share. In most cases, this would be a good thing, but … Jumboland also has it’s own separate Ice Cream Parlor. Their Ice Cream menu is so amazing and indescribable I had to take pictures for you to see for yourself. Tommy Micos opened Jumboland in 1960 and it’s obvious that this is a place that is loved by many. You leave with a full belly and a smile on your face. We shall be returning, and next time I skip the BBQ. Too much good food to miss out on here and I want to give Jumboland the 5 stars it deserves!
