We used to go here a lot when we first moved to the Brandon area. The Outlaw Ribeye is probably the best item on their menu. It’s very tasty, and a good sized portion for the price. I hadn’t been back for a while. My most recent visit was during lunch after an appointment in the area. The food was good, but a little uninspiring. I had the Steak Frites which comes with parmesan fries. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare as specified. The sauce provided a nice burst of flavor, but the steak by itself wasn’t well seasoned. It wasn’t really the cut of steak that you would typically use for this type of cuisine(«frites» implies a French flair). It was just your typical flat iron steak(no fatty marbling). Maybe it was just the presentation that through me off. The fries weren’t even that special. Perhaps a thinner and crispier version would be better(without the parmesan seasoning). I think I was supposed to receive a side salad(according to the website), but it wasn’t offered. Oh, and don’t get the Captain’s Mule unless you really like the combination of Spiced Rum mixed with orange juice. The description of it sounded good. Was it the Captain Morgan, or the mixture of these 2 ingredients? I’m just not sure. The service was good and so was the atmosphere. The portions are good, and the food is reasonably priced. I would only go back for the Outlaw Ribeye. Unfortunately, everything else on the menu is pretty average. Update — My mother has officially crossed it off of her list of places to eat in Brandon. She was not«wowed» either. She had the Prime Rib Sandwich. I guess we won’t be back anytime soon.

I am a fan of Longhorn and have always had a great experience until I went to this one. I was so disappointed. The booth I sat in smelled moldy. Like the table and bench seat had been wiped down with an old, moldy rag. My steak was supposed to be medium and was very well done and arrived cold. 2/3rds of my husband’s prime rib was brown instead of a juicy red and his was also cold. The manager, Angelo, did come to apologize and comped our appetizer($ 9). Overall, not the quality of Longhorn I am accustomed to. Note: Cooks have bad days, it happens. Restaurants get busy, it happens. A restaurant smelling moldy… That can be prevented.

No comment on food, waiting 13 minutes, couldn’t get any service, left, to many other options that may appreciate the business.

This restaurant is PERFECT for my business lunches. They go over and above, because of this we meet there each month. This restaurant is also perfect for DATENIGHTS, DInner with the Family or sipping a cocktail at the bar(the bartender is a super nice guy!), they make a great cosmo martini. I have been here well over a dozen times and have yet to be disappointed with anything I have ordered. That is quite RARE. :)

Food and service were excellent. Only a 15 minute wait on a Sunday which is pretty quick for the area.

The manager of this location personally catered a charity golf tournament dinner for the Brandon Chamber and did a terrific job. Despite the organizers of the event providing a huge breakfast and plenty of food options throughout the golf course during play, I was saving myself for a quality meal after finishing 18 holes back into the clubhouse and she really came through with it. Myself and all the good people at my table absolutely loved the steaks. The store manager was personally serving them and asking each of us whether we preferred closer to medium-well or closer to medium-rare before picking out a sirloin for us. So good, that I could have gone back for a second sirloin if it would not have drawn the attention of all the chatty people at my table. They would have made fun of me, but writing about it now I think I should have attacked a second steak and just dealt with their good-natured comments about it. The salad, rice, broccoli, bread and tiramisu that she also served were delightful and the perfect end to a long, yet enjoyable day on the golf course. Broccoli especially was perfect and I’m rapidly becoming a bit of a snob on that vegetable. Because of this manager’s work at the golf tournament, I’ll be in personally after my next round of golf at River Hills to show my gratitude in the hopes of getting another quality meal.

I’ve been here many times. But I have to say the filet I had tonight which should be tender and film of flavor lacked all that. I paid over $ 20 for a piece of steak that was not worth more than $ 10. I had a recent friend get sick on the salmon here so I was already hesitant but after tonight, I will not return.

This place is usually in point. Tonight was no different other than our server, MADISON! Oh my, what a nice young lady. Very polite and cortious. She is one of the nicest servers I’ve met in a very long time. The food was great.

Happy New Years Unilocalers. 2016. Here we come! So, this is my first Unilocal for 2016. My daughter and I decided to come to Longhorn for lunch. First the customer service. Our waitress name was Sophie. She was very attentive to our needs and extremely friendly the entire time. She made sure go check on u s to ensure that we has what we needed to enjoy our meal. The food came out fairly quick and it was hot ND fresh. If you are looking for a nice atmosphere, friendly service, and hot food this is the spot !

This was honestly one of the best meals that I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying… I’ve been here many times before and I’ve never had a bad experience. This time, I was there with my boyfriend to celebrate his recent promotion. We decided to write a Unilocal review before we even went. He ordered the surf & turf with steak and lobster, and I ordered the Flo’s filet. We both had Caesar salad which was really delicious. Even the bread they give you before the meal is delicious. Everything was so fresh. He ordered his steak rare, and it came out slightly under-done but it was perfect for his taste, some might not like it though… The lobster tail was perfectly cooked and paired really well with the shrimp scampi and rice pilaf that came with the dish. I ordered my filet mignon extremely well done but it wasn’t done enough for my liking, so I had to send it back.(I wasn’t upset, I like my steak charred to a crisp, so that’s actually typical for me at steakhouses. I knew it would happen, so I didn’t mind at all.) It was delicious when it came back out, it was amazing… But it wasn’t the cut of meat I was expecting for a filet, I think it reminded me a lot of sirloin(which I’m not a fan of) than a filet. It was surprisingly tough, but that could also be due to the fact that I haven’t had steak in a while. The loaded baked potato I had on the side was incredible. I loved the butter and cheese, but would have liked it more if they’d been more generous with it. Our server(Rachel) was very VERY professional, and great at what she does. She really went above and beyond our expectations. She always wore a smile and made sure to keep us in plenty of refills. She was happy to bring us anything we needed. And in fact, that’s a big part of why I rated this place 5 stars instead of 4. I’m not often ‘wowed’ by the waitstaff at restaurants I visit, but I certainly was this time. Excellent service! 10⁄10 I was going to take some photos, but we got so wrapped up in enjoying this wonderful meal that we completely forgot to take any! ^_^

I’ve been a longtime fan of longhorn steakhouse but somehow this experience just falls short. Perhaps the volume of business they were experiencing tainted my impression, but I just didn’t get the inviting, professional staff that I’ve grown to expect from this concept. When we arrived at the restaurant we were directed towards the lounge/bar to wait. After a small wait we found seats at the bar and decided to stay in the lounge. The bartender was nice and attentive to our needs, but due to policies, was not able to place our to-go order. We’ve dined in several times before, but this was our first experience placing an order to go. Evidently, we could only place our to-go order with a specific«order taker» so we had to wait even longer to do so. Because we were in a hurry, this didn’t sit well with us. Being that we had a sitter waiting on us to return home, we were under a time constraint. Eventually my husband left our seat to place the order at the to-go counter where a manager was hurriedly punching into a computer screen looking very frustrated. My husband asked for assistance and the manager gave a disapproving look then ushered for the employee to assist without conversing at all with the guests. I understand the holidays bring a rush of customers and chaos, but I would hope the level of hospitality and servitude wouldn’t depend on the season, especially since I know they’re taking in the tips on such a busy time of year.

The food was not that bad that is what kept it from getting one star. Seating was strange to say the least. There was no real order. The just sat people at random(walk-in or call ahead). We were seated and waited 15 minutes before our server came over. Everything was very slow. The food we ordered was good but nothing special. When they brought our steaks and asked«what sauce I wanted» was not a good sign. The bathrooms are only to Be used in a dire emergency. If you had a choice this is not a first choice.

Tampa has been spoiled with all the amazing Steak Houses. We are a city of carnivores! Compared to some of the other steak houses in Tampa, LongHorn seems less then impressive for a steak, but for the price, it’s hard to beat. They have a lot of different options and even enough choices for those who do not choose to eat beef. Everything I have tried here has been pretty good. The parking at his location isn’t so great but there is usually some nearby parking in the walmart parking lot directly behind the restaurant. When you are in the mood for a steakhouse but don’t want to spend a fortune, LongHorn is a good choice.

I am truly thankful for the incredible service provided to our party of 30 people. The servers went of of their way to please our teenagers(my daughter wanted a dinner with all her friends for her sweet 16) They were so thoughtful, helpful, patient, nice, well mannered, fast, overall amazing servers. I was not sure it would be the right place to celebrate my daughter’s special day. Now that I look back to all details I could not be any happier, it was definitely THE right place. This review is dedicated to the three ladies that served our tables. They were so professional! I am truly impressed! One of them helped me set up the decorations for the main table. They took care of having the cake ready and they brought it in perfect time with all plates, spoons and the entire required service. Then they waited patiently for us to sing happy birthday and I had the impression they were actually enjoying the celebration. Thank you ladies for making my girl’s sweet 16 such a special memory. Thanks to you and in appreciation for your amazing attention, I will make sure my family and I visit your restaurant more often.

The bone in ribeye seemed thin and cheap. It seems like the quality has decreased significantly. The appetizers were good. Strawberry pecan salad was excellent. The sirloin steak was better than the ribeye. Also The pasta was good.

It was good as usual. The service was pretty slow though. We had to wait awhile to get our drinks and wait for our check, both of which are my pet peeves. Of course, I’ll be back. I’m sure it was just our waiter.

The garlic outlaw steak was really good and tender. Chicken tortilla soup had huge chunks of chicken and a really good, spicy, flavor. I ordered the summer beefsteak tomato salad. Not a fan of vinaigrettes, so I subbed the dressing for blue cheese. It was really good and the tomatoes were awesome. Didn’t care too much for the cornbread croutons it came with — too sweet for me. Nice experience considering it was Father’s Day weekend. Very attentive waitress named Madison who we never had to ask for refills, clear the table, or correct an issue serving side. Star added for that. My only issue with the locale is the women’s bathroom. The entire floor was so sticky that upon trying to back away from the sink, my flip-flop stuck dead flat to the floor as I tried to back away. My family could hear each step I was taking back to the table as I had to pry each shoe off the floor each step. Actually had to wash bottoms off with soap at home. Ick.

Sunday night of a holiday weekend was pretty busy. Only had about a 20 minute wait time though. Eating at the bar has no wait time usually and you can order off the regular menu. Service is excellent and food was delicious. My husband got the appetizer sampler as he never leaves room for dessert and really wanted it this trip. I had a cup of the shrimp and lobster chowder or how those of us from New England say«Chowda» which was delicious. Lots of shrimp but couldn’t find lobster pieces but did have a nice lobster flavor. My meal was the cheese and bacon stuffed filet which you could cut with a fork, a very dull fork since it was so tender. I ordered it medium rare but the waitress suggested medium to make sure the stuffing melted which I went with her recommendation. The steak actually came out medium rare and the stuffing oozed out. They have a 6 or 8 oz versions and the 6 oz was plenty. You get one side and a salad which is a lot of food. They let you substitute as well so for like a dollar I passed on the salad as they substituted the Chowda! My husband had to have his dessert sampler which had some decadent chocolate layered cake, cheesecake, and an apple pie crisp. They serve dessert with cold forks which makes dessert even better. I had a bite of each dessert and my husband could not finish it. At least he got his sweets for the night and probably needs insulin after all that sugar. Great meal, great service and had a gift card to boot so always better on some one else’s nickel. Have eaten at Longhorns many times and will be back time and time again.

Ok, so a $ 4 newspaper coupon and a Gift Card from my daughter made this decision real easy. As I said in my original review, Longhorn is probably the most predictable chain out there. This is not a slight. Good is predictable too. Last night wife had her predictable rib-eye, awesome as usual and it was cooked perfectly. I wish I could do that at home. This time I got a dish called Lobster Chops, 3 small lobster half tails grilled with a scallop in the middle of the tail. Served with a seasoned rice and an ear of their cowboy corn grilled. The seafood was awesome, the rice was good but pungent and highly seasoned. The corn was forgetable. For desert we had this apple pie thing topped with vanilla ice cream and bourbon and raspberry sauce. It was big and decadent. Our waiter, Ricky, who was fabulous, asked how it was. To me it tasted like Christmas. I’ve never described a food like that before but when I tasted it I intsantly went to Christmas. Weird. I think it was all those holiday spices or maybe I’m just getting in the season a bit early. Another good dinner, thank you my daughter for a great meal.
