Always awesome food and The owner operator is very sweet. they just moved the food trailer«still open“over to their new facility to be open soon after the new year. she tells me they’ll have a beer and wine bar on their outdoor patio as well as 10 indoor tables once they get it open… I can’t wait to pair their food with a ice cold beer!

Best Mexican food in Brandon, hands down. The food is excellent, and it’s made better by the price you pay and the amount that you get. I’ve gone several times, and each time I feel it gets better and better.

Best AUTHENTIC taco truck in Brandon! & I capitalize authentic because here you will not find anything remotely close to what you find at TacoBus, Moe’s or Tijuana Flats so prepare… Its a food truck with a canopy and some wooden tables. Campo style I love it. Your first taco on your first visit is free. Good vibes. 10+ lunch specials for $ 6.75 that include a drink. Anything from a mini torta(mexican sandwich=taco ingredients on pressed bread) & quesadilla, a huge burrito and enchilada or my favorite, 5 tacos of your choice. I always get a mix(beef, chicken & fish) but deep down I know the fish are my favorite. You can find all your other Mexican favorites here like flautas, ceviches, spicy shrimp, fried fish, rice & refried beans, chips & salsa, etc. Daily specials like menudo every Sunday. They’re closed on Mondays. They carry the Jarritos drinks(try tamarindo!!). They don’t hold back on condiments either. I don’t know the names but they have a spicy green sauce and a milder red sauce that you can taste every single ingredient. They should bottle and sell it because I’d buy it. All the dishes come with lime wedges and sautéed onions too! Note: I don’t know if it’s because we come here a lot or she just overestimates her portions while cooking but we almost always get more than what we order! So 5 usually ends up being 6 tacos.#happygirl =D

This location is tucked away in a corner of a residential area. The place itself is a trailer with four benches and a canopy outside. I came at lunch time on a rainy day, so it was empty. Ordered a number 8 combo, which was 3 tacos, a torta, and a drink. I got al pastor meat and a crush soda. The cost? Under $ 8! The quality of food is much better than almost all Mexican restaurants I’ve tried, and the servings were large! Tacos were soft shell, and the tortilla had a really light crunch to it – just the way I wanted. Really love this place, and looking to return in the future.

If you are in the area, this food is better than the local brick-and-mortar options. But I would not go out of my way to eat here.

I had lunch there today. I had 2 steak tacos and a pork tamale. They were both delicious! And all for under $ 5. I went a-la-carte because it was my first time but they have great combos available and it won’t be my last time.

My first time here, I will definitely return. The ladies at the counter were super polite and friendly. There was a little bit of a wait as they fixed the food, but I ordered crunchy tacos and I think that was part of the wait time. I ordered 3 supreme tacos. These were on the small side but so were the prices, so I felt it was a good value. Ground beef was delicious, toppings were fresh. Definitely quality food. There was a fresh lime wedge and sauteed onions in my food container, nice touch! They even threw in an extra taco. Very nice people. I also ordered chips and salsa, and I did not like the salsa at all, but I think this is a matter of taste. It was HOT and that’s all I could taste! But I don’t particularly have a taste for hot stuff, so I wager others may enjoy it. Fair warning! :) This is just around the corner from Taco Loco which has a much more obvious location, but I’d rather go back to Romi’s. Look for the Domino Club and Martial arts building, it shares a parking lot, and this is a permanent location with sheltered picnic tables. I look forward to going back.

SIMPLE, DECENTMEXICANFOODTUCKEDAWAY Slightly off the main road, Romi’s is technically a ‘permanent food truck.’ Its sign facing the road calls itself ‘Genesis Tacos’ however around the menu it’s still marked as ‘Romi’s Tacos.‘ SIMPLE, VARIEDFOOD There are many options besides Tacos such as Tamales, Sope, Quesadilla… and a variety of Meat options to add even more variety. The menu is right next to the window and small so if there’s a long line you can’t ponder long on your order without cutting in front. Thank goodness the Tacos keep it simple with Cilantro and Onions. The fluffiness of the Sope base is great with generous Veggies and Cheese on top. However even with the simplicity(I’ve known and dined from the kitchens from tables of many Mexican natives) there was something still ‘off’ about the taste. Nothing bad… I think it was the Meat seasoning paired against the Veggies… it just wasn’t the best tasting I’ve had. CAN’T BEATTHEATMOSPHERE As others have mentioned, the business-like lady taking my order also added an extra Taco for free. Definitely a plus. Although I ordered to-go, there’s a tent next to the Truck with six dining tables. It may not have the best view(the side of a building and a school yard) but here’s a hint: eating Mexican food outside tastes much better than eating under a ceiling. Although the food wasn’t the best, they get 4 stars for the variety and price in a location not known for little places like this.

«Hole in the wall» is a great description. Excellent food, I tried a burrito, carne asada with the works. I will go back for more.

Delicious tacos and tostadas! This is an awesome spot. Twas hard to find, little food truck with outdoor seating, but the good was outstanding, authentic and really delicious. Chips and salsas were excellent too. Very glad we found this spot. Great prices too.

This served the best Mexican food that I have had since moving to Florida. The tamales were done perfectly and were served the way they should be-in the corn husk! I highly recommend it and I will be returning soon!

It was all good, maybe not the chorizo taco, but I’m From Texas… so a 3 is the best I could do for knowing The Best. Not bad though, nice and fast service.

I am a foodie and I tend to try places off the beaten path. I have been going to this taco stand for over a year now and thought it was high time I wrote a review. I LOVE this place!!! The value is outstanding, they give you a nice portion for the money but moreover the food is authentic and always tasty. I Highly recommend the #11 with crispy tacos Al Pastor or my latest obsession Spicy Shrimp(to which I have them add carnitas) Wow! so good. The atmosphere is not why you come here, its the friendly service and awesome food. If you want no frills authentic Mexican this place is it. Happy eating :)

Definitely a hole in a wall but the menu is quite extensive and very delicious. I could probably eat 20 carne tacos.

This is a pretty great little hole in the wall. The menu is extensive and the young ladies are always nice and patient as we try to decide(although I always end up getting the same thing anyway) Steak tacos are pretty amazing and you can’t go without getting the red beans in rice. Also amazing. The absolute reason we keep going back is because we cannot get enough of their quesadillas!!! Extraordinary! Sure they could use some more quality seating areas but the location is okay and the food is amazing for the price. They do take credit cards now but use their phone to process it. So if you’re uncomfortable with that way, bring cash.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to stop at this Mexican oasis here in Brandon. Thankfully I did just that. One Carne Asada burrito, one Barbacoa taco, one Carne Asada taco and a Pollo Asada taco too! Lots of food, but completely worth every bite! After MANY years and visits to taco trucks all throughout central amd southern California, this place is just like home. authentic and delicious! I will be back and with the family!

They make very good Mexican food. I always order the #2 combo which is 2 tacos and a quesadilla with a drink. You really can’t go wrong by going here. This is a food truck, so don’t expect anything fancy. Last time I checked they only accepted cash, which should really change as people are rarely using cash nowadays. Overall, great Mexican spot in Brandon.

Let me preface this as I am not a Mexican food aficionado, but a person that enjoys good Mexican food and good food in general. So this morning I got a little hungry and decided to browse through my restaurant coupons. I found this place and figured«authentic Mexican food, yes please!». As I pulled up outside there was a lady getting the tables ready and cleaning the parking lot. On first impressions of the outside looks like a street stand but was inviting with music playing and friendly staff. As I approached and took a look at the menu, the prices were more than fair and selection was good. My coupon was for a combo, so I ordered a combo #12(mini torta and one pork and one steak enchilada). I also added a tamale onto the order for good measure. ITALSOCAMEWITH A FREETACO!!! After I got home I sat down to enjoy my brunch. The red sauce(I think it is a salsa) has good heat, but not too much, and was amazing. I did not care for the green sauce, but that is just my taste. The torta was AMAZING!!! The bread complemented the meat very well. Ingredients were fresh and taste was right on key. The taco was good and definitely a homemade corn tortilla. The tamale was smaller in size then other tamales I have had at other places, but the price matched the size of the tamale when comparing to other popular places. The tamale was good, had good flavor and texture. Sadly only available on Fridays and Saturdays but I guess I will plan my excursions here appropriately. The enchiladas were alright, not a lot of sauce but had good flavor. Remember I am no Mexican food aficionado. Even though the enchiladas were decent I rate this PLACE A 4.5÷5(THEYWONTLETMEDOHALFSTARS) and will be back for some more TORTAS!!! Next time I plan on trying the nachos, there is a picture on my coupon of it and it LOOKSAMAZING!!! This place reminds me a lot of a chain of restaurants that are being put up everywhere(associated with a bus). The main difference, minus the bus, is the price. I will take good food and at a great price any day. The difference is only a couple dollars on average but that makes all the difference to me. Try it out and let Unilocal know what you think.
