Very authentic Mexican food! I love everything that I have tried and that’s been quite a few items on their menu! They are also very friendly and always make you feel welcome. My favorites are the steak tostadas and the steak tacos(corn tortilla).

Chicken and taco loco is a a taco bus stand with a small eating area. The service was quick. I ordered steak and picadillo tacos. I must admit the steak tacos were not as tasty as I expected. I will rave how delicious the picadillo tacos were. The rice and beans were delicious as well. They have daily specials as well. Overall it was a decent experience

I would have to say I’ve had eaten better burritos making it myself at home. Good lord did this place disappoint hard. The place is fine, outside food truck and not much complaints with staff. But the food itself i wish i could just up chuck right out of me. The worst burrito I have ever had, and if you look at my other reviews I am a fan of burritos and no I do not just eat at «chains». I have not one time had to spit out so much gristle and fat on a carne asada burrito in my life. The wife had a spicy shredded burrito and ended actually throwing up as soon as we got home after eating. I was lucky enough to be ok after eating. The burrito was filled with rice and lettuce, not much flavor itself on the beef or the chicken. They served on the side on what I can only assume was lettuce, tomato topped off with sour cream. The price was on the lower side and thank god for that. I always rate my reviews in accordance with the likeliness we would be back to said establishment so my rating says it all. Not recommended, try if you like, but we will not be back.

Went again today and I simply love this place. I always get the chicken tacos with the hot sauce. It’s great to have a authentic Mexican food truck in Brandon. The girls are very sweet as well.

There’s something to be as said about spicy food which always brings a smile to my face!!! First off, I love the friendly and warm hospitality the ladies exude. You almost feel like you stumbled upon a family backyard cookout. The options of which you can select from to fill your tacos, tortas,… are amazing! As a step in direction of traditional dinners, I would encourage trying the daily specials. Either way, the portions are generous and lip-smacking, packed with flavors that will make your heart jump for joy. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a friend, or however many, and let the fiesta begin! But don’t forget to try the green sauce… It’s the perfect condiment for jazzing up just about everything on their menu ;)~

Not pleased with this place at all. I showed up right at 7:30 and was told they already closed that I was not going to be able to order. I won’t patronize this place again that’s just very poor service on their part

OHYES! Fresh and authentic! My order was taken promptly and while I waited I was served corn chips with salsa(the salsa was so good) Then they called my name and that’s where the party in my moth begun. I ordered the steak, pastor(marinated pork, and spicy shredded chicken all in a corn taco($ 1.85, Flour $ 1.99) I prefer the flour taco and the steak was really good. I passed the location the first time. It’s on the corner of Brandon Blvd and Parsons right behind a mechanic area. I sat in the seating area and simply enjoyed my wonderful meal. I will definitely return.

Never disappointed. Yesterday picked up a carnitas burrito the size of a small baby, 3 steak tacos, lengua taco and extra sauce — for 15 bucks. Don’t go right at lunch, it’s packed. If you can, get there when they open. Green sauce is amazing. Get extra. All tacos rock, but steak is my favorite. Corn tortilla of course. Not sure why they offer flour — who eats those for tacos?

I’m just a girl who loves tacos. Not looking for a perfect taco because what is that? I just want the tacos that are right for me. Does this sound like a opening to a love letter, probably, definitely, YES! Because I truly, truly love tacos. I love tacos so much so that, that it is virtually impossible for me to visit or live in a place and not find the taco places first. And to be clear, while I have eaten many a fiery, 4th meal taco. However, there is nothing like«homemade» taco and by homemade I really mean that it has a fresh tortilla, a good tasting protein, and some fresh veggies. Enter Chicken & Taco Loco! I’m new to the Tampa Bay Area, so what’s the first thing I look for. No not employment, housing, or friends… I look for tacos. Fortunately there is a taco stand(or as the locals say Taco Bus) literally up the street. And while my loathing of chickens is well-documented, the Taco Loco in the title is all I care about. While the place doesn’t live up to it’s name, because there are no crazy tacos here, I do have a crazy love for their tacos and on occasion their tortas. Chicken & Taco Loco is a converted Food Truck that has a seating area and offers walk-up convenience. In the heat of the summer, they have industrial fans and some smaller fans to circulate the humid air. In addition to tacos and tortas they have lots of traditional Mexican fare: burritos, gorditas, quesadillas, fajitas, sopes and even a specialty hot dog. I’ve only eaten the tacos and tortas because that’s all I really come for. My sister has tried the Friday special which is a Shrimp Coctel… I can’t speak for her or the coctel, but they do have daily specials and they’re reasonably priced. I always and only have gotten the carne asada. It’s high-quality, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Tacos are made fresh to order and service is prompt. I’m usually in and out within a few minutes, unless I catch a rush. Taco Loco has become a regular taco spot for be for all of the aforementioned reasons. They satisfy my taco hungry heart without breaking the bank.

Go with time to spare, they take FOREVER. I had a huaraches and it was alright, nothing fancy, the actual huarache and the sopes dough were bland. The carnitas taco and chichen tostadas were fantastic, I which everything tasted that good. The place got really busy after we got there, which makes me wonder why our food too so long since we it was pretty empty when we got there. I think you can call your order in so even tho people were not there, their food was being made before our. We might try it again… might.

Meh. The taco bus by the Seffner Publix is better. I don’t know what it was but I just didn’t care for these. The tacos were huge. The meat had a weird seasoning and consistency. I had chorizo and carnitas. It was greasy too. I had been wanting to try it so I’m glad I did. Probably won’t be back though.

This taco stand is pretty official. They have more taco flavors than any other taqueria in the Tampa area that I’ve seen. All the basics as well as tinga(spicy chicken), lechon,(pulled pork), a Mexican sausage/pork combo and more. About a dozen or so flavors to choose from at $ 1.75 each. I went for what I usually get so I can compare to my other favorite places — two carnitas and one bistec and an horchata. Let’s start with the positives. The horchata was spiced properly and not grainy. Some of the best around. The bistec was above average. Now the carnitas… good flavor but slightly oversalted and slightly overcooked and too greasy. The tortillas are doubled up and they are made from scratch. I just didn’t like how much grease they soaked up. They really filled them up with meat and I didn’t finish the third one due to the grease. If I go back again, I’d skip the carnitas and try some of the more unique flavors. They also carry a few desserts such as flan, chocoflan, tres leches and cheesecake. They looked tasty and called my name but not tonight. Besides horchata, they also have tamarindo and jamaica and a couple coolers filled with many other bottled sodas and juices. Their menu has huaraches, flautas, gorditas, coctel de camarones and more. The setup is pretty cool. It’s almost like a «Taco Bus» with a covered patio with plenty of tables and a TV. The service is friendly and the girl earned bonus points for thinking I was Latino and saying my Spanish was perfect(far from it). I will give this place a stamp of approval…***APPROVED***…and would recommend it if you’re in the Brandon area looking for Mexican.

De-freaking-licious! I’m from California where we have great Mexican food and my Fiancé and I have been checking out recommended places like Taco Bus and California Taco to try and find that piece of home, and let me tell you… THIS.IS.IT! Seasoned, marinated and tender meat tacos with good old onion and cilantro. They have other good stuff too, but those tacos… mmm :0)
