Food was quick, authentic, and delicious! The service was kind and considerate, and they were quick to take the order and also make the food. Many different kinds of protein to choose from, as well as many vegetables to add in: four for each dish. You get to build your own meal which is really a treat! Several sauces are available to choose from with varying heats and flavors, making coming back inevitable.

The use of fresh, healthy ingredients is very nice. The food was pretty good. I had Kung Pao Chicken which, while good, could have used more spice. My girlfriend had Shrimp Spicy Szechwan, which was very tasty, but would have also benefited from some more tang, too. The place is very clean and inviting and they use fresh ingredients. Overall, I like Wok Chi and would return if in the Brandon area again. It has alot of potential.

On Friday and Saturday, you can get 10% off your purchase with AMC movie stub on same day. But you HAVE to tell them before they close out your check. Or the manager will refuse to help you out with that discount. «It’s only 10%» she said after refusing to help out. 10% is better than nothing, but I guess not to her.

I like how the food concept is fresh, not fried or breaded, with all good amount of variety. It’s made to order, and did take some time to arrive(20−25min) but overall it was good. Their sauces on the counter(self serve) I personally think tasted weird, and the place was not the cleanest. But if you can overlook these things, the food I think is worth the price and certainly served hot and fresh.

Love the food! Cool set up you pick a meat, sauce, 4 veggies, and a base and they wok it in front of you. The kids favorite place which is great because they usually don’t like eating the veggies!

We went there to get a to go order. The restaurant looks very nice and has a very modern feel to it. I love the little sayings before you order. The ordering system is also pretty cool you order one protein, one suace, 4 veg, and appetizers. The reason I gave it a four star and not five is they seemed a bit disorganized like they weren’t expecting a lot of customers tonight however the manager/trainer was working the register and the Vice President of the whole company was also working the line. There were a total of four people working the store. They should increase the number of employees. It’s a great concept and it will succeed if they get more manpower. Also I feel that the servings were a bit small in comparison with the portions… We are in the U.S. Of A people we like our large portions :)

I love this place. Food is as different as you order. I could eat there for weeks & have something different. I wish they would open one in Tampa especially Seminole Heights.

Fast, fresh and casual. Wok Chi is like a Chinese Chipotle. You pick your protein(chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, tofu, veggies or more than one for an additional charge), then you pick a sauce(BBQ black bean, orange, sweet and sour, Kung Pao, General Tso, ginger sesame, spicy Szechuan, etc), then you get to pick 4 veggies(onions, green peppers, red peppers, broccoli, baby corn, carrots, snap peas, snow peas, etc), then white or brown rice(or fried rice for an additional charge, which I recommend) and they’ll stir fry it and bring your bowl to your table in about 10 minutes. The prices are in the $ 7 – 10 range. I’ve tried a couple chicken bowls, one with ginger sesame and one with sweet and sour sauce, which I prefer because I like pineapples. The chicken is cooked well. I just wish they were more generous with the amount of chicken they give you. Maybe you’ll get about 6 – 7 pieces. I also wish there was more sauce mixed in. However, they do have a station with additional sauces that you can add yourself, including a plum sauce. I also think the rice is kinda dry so more sauce would help with that. It’s a pretty healthy meal they serve up. Not greasy whatsoever. Wok Chi prides itself in not using any MSG. The service has been friendly the two times I’ve been this week, although they did mix up my rice with a friend’s rice. So they gave each of us an additional bowl of the rice we were supposed to get. Also, they have different specials on certain days(see my pictures). The décor is very cool and modern. There are booths, tables and one large communal table, as well as outdoor patio seating. Words of wisdom are printed on the walls and windows. They have the Coke Freestyle machine, hot and cold teas and bowls of strawberry fortune cookies. So take a few as you head out. although I keep getting the same fortune in my cookies: «The best way to predict the future is to invent it-Alan Kay» so maybe that’s some kind of sign for me.

Good place to eat if you’re by the amc theatre and want to eat something fresh. You start off any order by ordering a main meat, whether it is chicken, beef, or tofu, as far as i can remember(but there are more) and choose 4 different kinds of vegetables to mix in. They then mix in your choice of sauce to fry it in. I ordered the chicken and with string beans, broccoli, carrots, and zucchini with general tso and tasted really well. They cook it as soon as they get the order and someone brings it to your table. I like the idea of being able to get your own drinks from the fountain(the same ones you see at the AMC theaters) and be able to refill it. Overall our experience was great and will be back again to try other things on the menu.

If this woman runs her restaurant anything like she treats her tennants, then run away! She doesn’t care about anything but the $$, quality and comfort for people are at the bottom of the priority list… you should all spit in her food and give it back!

Soup was cold, they did replace it. I gave it a 4 star on the last visit, the first sip of cold soup knocked it down a star. Meal for 2 just over $ 17.00.

Quick, healthyish and easy Chinese food! At the counter, you order in 4 easy steps — pick a protein, pick a sauce, pick 4 vegetables, and then pick a base. There’s a big red sign by the register that reads«No tips, please. We get our Chi from your return trip. Thank you for giving us the ‘good fortune’ of serving you.» That is good information. You get a tracker device after you order, which you can take to your table and someone will bring the food to you when it is ready. For the main dish, I went with tofu, General Not so Tsao sauce(I see what they did there), baby corn+brococoli+mushrooms+zucchini, and white rice — $ 7.45. Unfortunately, they were out of snow peas. The portion isn’t big, but a great size for me. The food tasted fresh. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce(General Not so Tsao was so Tsao, if you know what I mean), so I would try one of the other many choices next time. Add on won ton soup — $ 1.95. The soup was great! It’s just broth and 3 pieces of won tons, but all delicious. Be careful opening the lid, though. I ordered my meal to-go and the soup came in a plastic container which leaked all kinds of hot fluid onto my lap when I tried to open it. Custard Chi-Bön $ 1.45 — This is a pretty cool dessert. It’s like a fried donut filled with creamy Bavarian-like custard. It’s definitely worth the calories. Bottled Stella — $ 3.45. They also offered Tsao beer and Smirnoff drink. The restaurant is brightly lit, clean and looks modern. At the self-serve counter, they offer additional sauces, hot green tea and pink strawberry fortune cookies. I never had a flavored fortune cookie before and it was pretty good.

I was wondering if brandon would ever get their own pei Wei but this will do. Everything made fresh. Plenty of options to choose: meats, veggies, sauce, and base. I order the BBQ black bean veggie stir fry with noodles. It was delicious! Veggies crisp. Sauce was good. Noodles On point. Best part no msg! Wouldn’t mind coming back on a Wednesday to take advantage of their stir fry, dim sum, and drink deal

Well, I guess this place is trying to be the next Pei Wei. But in order for it to be the next Pei Wei, it has some major hurdles to overcome. 1. The portions. The portions are too small, too little meat for what you are paying. The entrees at Pei Wei are like a dollar more expensive but you get A LOT more food for the 9 bucks. The entrees at Wok Chi are 8 bucks. 2. The sauces are inconsistent. The sweet/sour sauce was tasteless, but the black bean sauce was good. Also I liked the taste of the chicken better than the pork. Other than these major hurdles, at least the food is fresh and cooked right in front of you, the veggies were not overcooked, the food was not overly greasy, and there’s no MSG to worry about here. However, due to the small portions I likely would not return.

First time here tonight, and we are very pleased with our dinner. We will definitely be back! Great service too. *I ordered the General No-So Tso chicken with white fried rice and spring rolls! Very tasty with just enough spice. The veggies tasted fresh and I loved the spring rolls.

Oh I’m going to love this place! Just tried it for the 1st time, ordered and paid online(around $ 10). You pick what goes in the wok, which I think is a great idea. Don’t like water chestnuts? Don’t pick ‘em, it’s as simple as that. For a little twist they also serve strawberry fortune cookies, yummy! I had the Kung Pao sauce, which was exactly how I like it — heat & sweet. Some places make Kung Pao weak, not these guys, I picked 4 giant peppers out. But the heat doesn’t drown out the nice, complex, sweet flavor — PERFECT! I had chicken and veggies with fried rice, which is the«new» fried white rice with no other ingredients(which I like). I also got a crab rangoon, and it came to *just* over $ 10. **And the portions are just right for normal-sized people** I. WILL. BE. BACK.

Outstanding! This place is great! Since I’ve been in the Brandon area I have only found one place that has pretty good Chinese food, but it’s nothing special. This place however is a great new twist on traditional Chinese food. On their take out bag it says«fresh casual chinese» and that’s is exactly what it is. When you go in your your greater by a big open dining space that is white with red and black accents. When you go to order you choose your protein(chicken, pork, beef etc…). Next you choose your sauce(ginger sesame, sweet and sour etc…). After that you choose from a big array of vegetable. Lastly you choose your base(white or brown rice, fried rice, egg noodles etc…). After that you can add a dim sum or soup for a couple bucks or if you go in Wednesday you can get that for free with your meal. I chose chicken with General not-so-Tso’s sauce with green peppers, snow peas, broccoli and onion with fried white rice. We had take out so i didn’t look at it until I got home. When I did finally get a look I was pleasantly surprised. The meal was laid out very nicely not everything wasn’t just thee on in a pile. The meal itself tasted so delirious. The freshness of the meal was so apparent. The portion size was also great. I ate the whole thing and was content, the best part is that I wasn’t hungry 30 minutes after I am with regular Chinese food. I really can’t wait to go back for more. I highly recommend this place if your looking for some good fresh Chinese food. And you can order online a head of time!

Completely above and beyond my expectations! You have the option to choose your meat, sauce, what vegetables, and grain(base) you would like as part of your stir fry. I wasn’t sure at first how good it would be because I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants that leave me feeling bloated and just crappy with the possible MSG that they don’t tell you about, sodium, and fried goodness. This, however, was not like that ATALL. I got chicken(that was non-breaded, FTW), general not so tso sauce, my choice 4 vegetables: mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, and broccoli) and a base of brown rice(not fried). Holy moly this tasted like something fresh that I would make in my own kitchen! It wasn’t greasy or fried and you could simply taste the freshness and know that you’re not putting junk into your body. Also if you go on Wednesdays you get a free dim sum with your stir fry! The inside of the restaurant was nice and clean with modern interior decorating. The staff was super friendly and helpful with the ordering process as it was our first time there. This easily has been deemed my favorite fresh Asian cuisine place in the area thus far

Refreshing, fresh, and delicious! Not your average Chinese food and super happy they put this in Brandon. I have been having issues trying to find a decent Chinese place in Brandon for some time. I have tried many and all have come up short. TILLNOW!!! The food was more than I expected. The freshness of the ingredients, the presentation, and flavors blew me away. It is hard to describe the flavor I got from my General Not So Tso’s chicken. It tasted like it was cooked over a wood fire. The hint of smokey flavor in the sauce made this amazing!!! The vegetables were cooked and had a crispness to them. The portion was plentiful and I was stuffed when I left. The BBQ Pork Dao dim sum was good, but not the best one I have had. It lacked the BBQ flavor and tasted like a roll with meat in it. The sauce bar was an added bonus. Many sauces to choose from but I was disappointed with the Srirracha sauce. This sauces was very gritty which was a displeasing sensation. Almost like sand was combined in the sauce. Also they made the Srirracha sauce with to much vinegar, made it taste like a Louisiana hot sauce. It also tastes like it has a fish sauce in it, maybe a bit to much. The sweet chili sauce was my favorite hands down. Goes good on the rice and helped make the BBQ Pork Dao taste much better. The rice was nothing to write home about. It was well cooked white rice. They have one of those Coca-Cola soda machines that can make every soda combo you can think of. There is free tea in the back and they have placed around strawberry fortune cookies. they were interesting… Being able to customize your order is a super plus. I was able to pick the vegetables I wanted, the sauce and meat, and the Dim Sum.
