There is just something about a dining experience in which The owner/chef takes the time to visit with patrons and ensure they’re enjoying their food and visit. That level of pride and ownership makes Billy Gail’s worthy of a five star rating alone… but have you heard about their pancakes?!? Pizza sized pancakes, I thought I was in heaven! Leave your credit cards at home, because Cash or a local check is your only option to pay; but there’s something about this that instead of being inconvenient appeals to the atmosphere and experience as a whole, so I don’t complain! And Billy Gail’s must also be a great place to work because year after year we see the same familiar faces of staff which also must speak to the great ownership!

This is, without a doubt, the best place for breakfast in the Ozarks. The people are friendly and the food is even better. Don’t pass on the pancakes. You must eat here if you are anywhere close.

One of my favorite places in Branson to eat. We have to eat there every time we are in town. But FYI, Billy Gails is closed until January 15, 2016 for the holidays

Billy’s Belly Buster… yep enough food for two day, especially with the delicious over the plate size pancakes. EXCELLENTLY prepared every time, and we go Every time we are there. You won’t find any friendlier staff that is on a constant pace, because the place is always packed… don’t cheat yourself and decide not wait… you won’t find any better food at any better price, and incredible service!

This is an amazing place for breakfast that is definitely worth the wait. The service was great and it is a family atmosphere. My son had a huge pancake both times we went and loved them. I had the country steak and eggs the first time and will be getting it again. The second time I had the fried bologna and eggs which reminded me of my grandma. My wife had the breakfast sandwich on French toast and it was legit as well. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Parking is tricky and even on Tuesday morning there was a wait. How did we not know about this place?!? So good, big servings and great fast service. Had the grits, they were stick to your ribs delish. Hubby had the camp breakfast and added gravy to it, cleaned the plate. He said it was the best biscuit ever!

Pancakes! Amazing pecan pancakes were my breakfast of choice. This place is worth the visit. We had a table of 5 and everyone had good things to say about the food. Omelets could be fluffier– but still delish. Biscuits and gravy were great– nice chunks of sausage and creamy peppery gravy. I love the fact that no 2 coffee cups are the same. Very country chic décor and friendly staff.

10÷21÷15. CASHONLY. Yes the parking is not ideal. We arrived around 8:30 and were able to get seated immediately. Service was outstanding. Our food arrived before we even got through our first cup of coffee. Servers were top notch. Good was good. Nothing real special but it is breakfast. No one was disappointed. Try the sloppy biscuit. Homemade biscuits were very good. We left at 9:00 and the crowd was big waiting to get seated. Amazing difference at 8:30. I suggest arriving before 8:45 to get a seat right away.

If your rating is any less than a 4, get the f out. This place is AMAZING. The«iffy» parts: parking isn’t 100% easy. This is an old, refurbished, cool-as-hell gas station, so no, you aren’t going to have princess parking. You’ll be fine. You may wait, but this place, AGAIN, is worth your time. If you want Denny’s, don’t come here. Pancakes as big as a pizza pan. Incredible breakfast all around. Super friendly service with people who like their jobs and are HAPPY to serve you. It ISCASH, ONLY. So hit the ATM first. I can’t add much that hasn’t been said. Just go there. We are in Branson several times per year. This is a staple stop… at least once!

This restaurant is outstanding for breakfast, in spite of poor parking and a lengthy wait. I had Gail’s omelet and have never had a better one. Biscuits were excellent. My wife had scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. This will be a must stop on our future trips to Branson.

This place is a gem! Let me start off by the two negative things, because after that, I have nothing bad to say: 1) parking is a challenge. No marked spots. We saw people parking across the(somewhat busy) highway on the sides of the county road. And 2). The wait sucks– but that’s because it’s sooo good, so just come hungry! We waited about 45 min on a Sunday morning at 10am. Food is awesome, and huge portions! True southern comfort food. Few to note: biscuits and gravy, fried bologna, and bacon pancakes(with real bacon in them!). The staff is awesome, too. We had a really funny gal who brought our drinks, our server was nice, and Gail herself can be seen around the restaurant talking to guests. All very sweet people, and to me, service makes all the difference!

Another great findthanks Unilocal.Breakfast is served all day. Menu also includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, soup, etc. Lots of cool things to look at while you eat and friendly staff. Couple of important points to note, though. One small bathroom for all and no check cards or credit cards accepted. It’s a great place to experience the local culture.

Holy Smokes you better come hungry! Not only is the food great, the portions are huge. Pancakes the size of dinner plates, french toast as thick as a 2×4. Great food, great service, Just has crappy parking. Be willing to wait to get a seat or to find a place to park.

Since I can’t add much to previous reviews, I’ll try to summarize. PARKING:challenging. WAIT: patiently. DECOR: old-time fun. SERVICE: friendly, efficient. FOOD: fantastic. PAYMENT: cash. LEAVE: full. RETURN: certainly. My 10 year-old son and I(both big eaters) shared the Belly Buster — 3 eggs, 2 massive chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, hash browns & biscuit — and we couldn’t finish it! Everything was perfectly cooked, and the coffee cups were kept full.

Really great! We had a party of 8 and only waited 15 minutes. Breakfast was really good and fast. Parking was tough, but manageable. Pictures are worth a thousand words.

This is a wonderful place to eat breakfast. The pancakes are 14 inches in diameter. The hash browns are cooked perfectly. I had the chicken fried steak while my wife had the pancakes, or should I say pancake. The chicken fried steak was tender and delicious. The homemade biscuits were tall, and light and fluffy. The gravy wasn’t spectacular but all of the rest was excellent. Be prepared to wait a bit to get in… and don’t forget to bring your appetite because the portions aren’t small.

Well the reviews are all spit on. So let me give you the lowdown. First. Parking is beyond horrible. No marked spaces. Cars parked every which way. Beyond terrible. All of the business around the restaurant clearly state that you will be towed. Once we found a place to turn our car off and empty out of our car, we waited an hour. Was it worth it? YES. The breakfast had very generous portions. It looks all homemade. The pancakes are about 16 inches round. The biscuits and gravy was fantastic and hash browns were perfect. Now they do not take credit cards. You must have cash. No ATM! Would I go again? You bet! GOEARLY to get a parking spot.

We had an excellent(late) light brunch here today! We didn’t really receive a warm welcome upon arrival. Apparently you MUST check in with the cashier in order to get a table the very RUDE employee informed me when I said I didn’t know who to tell that we had 6 members in our family group. The cashier had 10 people crammed in line to pay! So whatever, I told her. Then we waited about 15 minutes in the waiting area which crammed full of toys, tchotchkes and other junk. Very busy and strangely decorated… but I came for the food man! We got a seat in the 2nd of 3 total dining areas. Everyone recommends the 1st area for the view but… they are ALLCRAMMEDFULLOFTCHOTCHKESANDJUNK! It’s like a garage sale and a flea market exploded all over in their! Crazy. I ordered the 4th of July breakfast special which was French toast with blueberries and strawberries. It was so good that I didn’t need any syrup! It was coated in powdered sugar so it had red, white and blue! Very festive! I highly recommend it! Just ignore all the scary old lady garbage filling every square inch of space!

Pancakes bigger than your face. One pancake is enough for anyone and the bacon is crisp. The service, the food and the price are perfect. The atmosphere is cozy and has that back home feel to it. It’s a must stop if your staying in the area.
