I’m actually really glad I didn’t check out any Unilocal reviews before eating here because the current lineup would have scared me away completely. Our experience was very good. The customer service was excellent, everyone seemed to be working together well and welcoming and efficient, and an employee wheeling a garbage can outside even told us to come back soon and have a great day. That was not expected but very nice! The food was delicious too. My husband’s salmon burger was pretty typical, nothing fresh or special, but it was good. I made the mistake of ordering a double hamburger and it was enormous! I am used to getting doubles at places like Freddy’s or Steak & Shake, and local joints in my town. I like a lot of meat on my burger. But the patties at Burger Shack are so thick, it was too much! I finished it, after a busy morning and five mile hike I wanted that much food… but on a normal day, I could not have eaten the whole thing! We ordered onion rings to share, which had good flavor, but we agreed the price on those was way too much for the relatively small portion(4 bucks would buy a lot more onion rings in most establishments like this). I wouldn’t do that again. The dining room was comfortable and high energy with a touristy vibe that fit Branson and was pleasant. I was a bit alarmed by the ripped booths with stuffing falling out though. I struggled with 3 versus 4 stars for my rating but went with four because the burger had fresh delicious toppings(a WIDE variety available at no extra cost) and the meat seemed very high quality making the overall value really good, even with the overpriced side. I’d definitely return when in Branson. Just a note, they do have a few bottled beers available for those who are interested.

Very good burgers, we got the 4 burgers and 4 fries for $ 20 deal. And it was an enormous amount of food. Lots of fresh toppings and free peanuts. The place was clean and has a cool Hawaiian beach vibe. Fun place, great food.

On vacation in Branson this week and decided to drop by the Burger Shack. Some of the staff at the counter were too busy looking at their cell phones to get our orders straight. When our food came out they forgot one of the burgers we had ordered and paid for. While they were very eager to make us one it took an additional 10 minutes and most everyone was finished with the majority of their meal. We could not believe how long it took. Unfortunately, it goes back to those at the counter not taking the customer as their priority. One hamburger did not have the toppings that were ordered. While the hamburgers were good the french fries were a mix of being crispy and limp. The service was lacking on the day we were there. Please note that their hamburgers meals are quite pricey not to have decent service. I would also suggest considering playing theme music that matches your restaurant décor. The religious music can turn some clients a way. While it is managements choice to play what they want to play, I am just suggesting you could be losing customers(maybe that is not a concern for you). Overall, in our(my family and I) opinion not a good experience at all. There are too many choices in Branson. Quality of the food and the focus on customer service should be job 1 for you. Unfortunately, the day we visited your attention to the customer(me and my family) was poor at best.

Good burgers and fries; but restaurant was dirty and employees were dirty as well. Loved the food but I don’t do filth fixing my food.

This is Five Guys’ ugly stepbrother. Where do I start? Burnt flavorless fries. Burnt yet soggy buns. My chicken sandwich came with a wheat bun :(even though the menu didn’t mention it. And they forgot sauce so the cooked-to-death chicken tasted even drier. The little lettuce on it was a yellow chunk of the middle of a lettuce head. Dirty tables, booth seats falling apart. And they sell voodoo dolls, really? On the upside, onion rings were decent. I suspect standard frozen and not made fresh there(which is probably a good thing considering). Hubby said his burger was standard, nothing to write home about. And tomatoes were fresh. But that’s about it.

2 burgers, 2 fries, $ 10. Find the coupon or just ask for it. Burgers are small, sloppy, good. Fries are pretty big, some crispy, some limp, pretty dang good.

The employees that work there are very rude and seem like they hate their life’s and the food was a little pricey for the quality

I’m sitting here waiting on my food and have seen two employees put their hands into a food bin and eat from it. This was after noticing that one employee could NOT quit touching his face and hair. The highlight was when two employees shouted in dramatic teenage fashion at each other, right by our table. This was because we didn’t have a «number» because one employee played with his cell phone rather than finalizing our order and providing a guest number. The burgers were tasty but small. About the diameter of a basic McDonald’s burger. Fries were good. I would probably consider returning for the food if the mood hit, but their operations and management aren’t tolerable.

My daughter & I had a great time here. The burgers were great & so were the fries. The strawberry shake tasted pretty dang good on such a hot day too. We’ll definitely be back to eat there again. This is currently my favorite burger joint in Branson. As a local I Branson local I try to eat out as often as possible. Burger Shack reminded me of the In & Out burgers I loved so much when I lived back west.

Burgers were good and fresh and EXPENSIVE! The management and employees could have care less about customer service. We went on Saturday evening but the place only had about 4 families. We waited at the register while 3 employees and a manager just walked by without acknowledging us or others in line and we edited for several minutes. Finally, the girl«just standing around» decided to take out order. 3 burgers 2 fries 1OR and 3 drinks were $ 30+. At 6pm there was NO sweet or unsweet tea! Staff was informed but no one made an effort to make tea BUT there was time to talk to personal visitors and joke around with the kitchen employees. There was a water leak. The floor was wet with NO wet floor sigh and an elderly woman almost slipped and fell. Her husband managed to grab her arm before falling and the«manager» did nothing and it happened right in front of her!!! I will never return.

It’s very rarely that I can find a burger as good as the one I had. I had a fresh double bacon cheeseburger that was absolutely perfect. The meat was definitely fresh, same for the fries. Your can also ask for cheese to go along with your fries. The staff were all super friendly and even helped me sneak a purchased gift in hiding for my father. Overall, it’s a really great place. The interior design is wonderful! I loved all of the difference license plates on the wall.

I’m really glad we had lunch here! But let me tell you UPFRONT up size with a SHAKE instead of a soda. The fries are awesome just as they advertise. Living in Utah, a local fast food chain says they invented«fry» sauce… basically mayo & ketchup or thousand island dressing. They call it the«Burger shack sauce!!» YUM!

Loved this place! Fries were sooo good! Burgers were delicious and so many toppings to choose from. Everything was fresh and tasty. All of us agreed it was one of the best burgers we have ever had! Onion rings were amazing! Can’t say enough about the fries! So good!

Come here if you want horrible cold food and soggy hamburger buns and no where as good as the other places nearby.

Branson version of Five Guys. Even down to the Peanuts you can eat prior to getting your food, but that is not a bad thing. The burgers are pretty tasty and the sauce they use is pretty good. Was not a fan of the fries though as they were very greasy and I prefer my fries to be a little crispy.

Lower your expectations if you are a 5 Guys or In & Out fan. The famous fries seem to be famous for being limpy and barely warm. Ours were a disappointment. The other group that complained got fresh fries. Guess we should have complained too. Not exactly fast service either. There were no orders ahead of us and I could not believe how long it took. Refillable sodas and the free peanuts in the shell were good qualities. Definitely tourist prices for everything though. $ 10 for one burger/fries/soda combo.

It’s not easy being stuck in Branson if you’re not into Gospel music, camouflage overalls, or unending traffic. Speaking of traffic, very few businesses on the main drag(Hwy 76) are worth the time or effort. Burger Shack is that exception. And perhaps crawling along at a snails’ pace stuck in between jacked up muddin’ trucks and beat down minivans is just the sort of anticipation builder that makes these burgers all the better. There’s grease, there’s cheese, there’s salt. And bacon. And a gazillion other toppings if you’re so inclined. The fries are crispy on the outside and smushy on the inside. The shakes are appropriately thick. Eat here and try to forget that your cousins just got married.

Our first meal at Burger Shack was pretty good, but there’s room for improvement. –Atmosphere: A+… I dig the décor and the remodel on the building. Fun atmosphere! –Service: A… The people working there are cool and friendly, but not overbearing. It’s not a table-service place, so I’m just commenting on the people that take your order. –Food: C+… The burger was good, but a very thin patty(think Steak n Shake). Next time I will definitely order a double. You can add on lots of different toppings(veggies and sauces) at no additional charge — that’s pretty cool. They claim that the fries are«famous». I’m not sure how that happens the day a restaurant opens… I also think that soft, limp french fries don’t qualify as famous in my book. I really like the fact that they’re fresh cut and they are well seasoned, but they just need to work on the texture. Overall, I liked it and we will go back, but there are better burgers and fries in town. Billy Bob’s Dairyland is just down the street and is 5-star by comparison.
