Found this place on Unilocal while visiting Branson. It’s a little off the beaten path, not something you pass 4 or 5 times a day on the strip. They really were super super friendly and they really did give us a free shot of «monkey juice» I think it was called. They have a touch screen bar top electronic game, which we love to play. They’re becoming difficult to find in the DFW area but we found many of them in Branson. The only downside to Cheeky Monkey is that they allow smoking. We didn’t try food here, but we enjoyed drinks, games, and service. Unilocal will be happy to help you find it, it’s not difficult to get to, just a little off the tourist line.

Being under 21 I was nervous about coming into a bar in another state, so I sent Mom and Grandma in first to get the lay of the land. All of a sudden one of the owners came out is like come in! Super friendly and the ambiance of the place was absolutely fantastic and unique. They poured good cheap drinks for those who could enjoy it and just gave a unique friendly atmosphere. Definitely worth the visit if in the Branson area. And it painted quite uniquely with decorations galore!

This is the most fun we have had in years. Everyone greeted us and introduced themselves and made conversation. The customers were all just as friendly. We were afraid to walk in at first but so glad we did. We will return again. We regret not finding this gem earlier! Locals and other bartenders are who sent us to Cheeky Monkey!

Amazing is the only word I can think of using to explain this place. No just joking. It’s friendly, affordable, fun, and comfy. It’s a home down bar with a fun atmosphere. It’s run by family and friends and you are treated like family as soon as you walk in. No better way to start your night then to be Greeted with a smile and a free shot. Billiard tables, amazing food, amazing drinks, Live music, DJ, and darts. Most try there home made drink recipes. There is so much to say about this place, but most importantly you most go. Check it out. Your be happy you did

First off we i thought my wife was taking me on a detox retreat. All the shows are dry(No Booze) So off the Branson Belle and straight to the first bar I saw! Cheeky Monkey. Crazy Craig was not there but cheeky Craig was(Son). ICECOLDBEER, a free greeting shot, Free Pool, Keno yes live Keno playing and a great Jukebox. It is smokey but everyone was very friendly. Accommodate tourist and a solid local dive! They have food but we hit Pizza and Cheeky Craig had a great suggestion. More to come on that. Thanks Cheeky for being my Oasis in Branson!

This is, bar none, the most friendly bar ice ever been too. When we walked in we were greeted with a free shot and the most friendly bar staff I have ever encountered. We will return here every time we are in Branson. I can’t say anything but good things about this place. A+ all the way.

The four of us were visiting for the week, because of a time share. We had read the GOODREVIEWS from trip advisor but didn’t search it out until 2 of us had to leave for Dallas the next day. We were so disheartened we didn’t make it a point to visit it as one of the first bars on our list of many! Craig, the owner asked our names & he and the crew treated us like family the WHOLE night. We stopped in for«just one» but with the warm, hospitable atmosphere, we elected to have another! We ended up staying 4 hours, & having 2 great dinners in which we were attentively asked often how we liked our food. Being on a special diet, they were quite concerned that everything was made the way I asked. Straight up, we give Craig & his staff 5 stars! BTW, to those who are«surprised» to here the F bomb spoken in a BAR, may I ask WHY are YOU in a BAR? It happens to be a common place BAR word, and not just in the BIGCITY!

Not So Cheeky We were in town for business meetings and wanted to escape the $ 10 well drinks at the Hotel lounge this was our first stop and it won’t happen again. Our journey into the door took us by the bouncer who was a regular old stone faced bouncer, my first step into the door I noticed the hazy smoke and would remain smoking everyone else’s cigarettes the remainder of the time we were there.(Which I could deal with if it was a good time.) Went straight to the bar where the bartender greeted us with free shots of the Monkey fuel. Bartenders were very friendly and most of the people were fun too that we encountered in our first few moments there. We decided to get a bucket of beers and grab a table. One of the guys we were with felt a sharp edge on the rim of his bottle about a quarter of the way into the bottle. They had chiped off part of the bottle when popping the cap off which happens and is not a big deal. What was a big deal was how they handled it. The waitress came over and he asked that it be replaced obviously not wanting to find out if the glass shard was in the bottle. The waitress proceeded to joke with him telling him to «not be a p**sy». Instead of replacing the beer she came back with a glass and grabbed the beer from him and poured it into the glass very quickly. She was standing a bit away from us and none of us actually observed her pouring the glass but she handed it back to him and said«no glass» and walked off. First taste he looked sick and handed it to us to try the beer tasted like it had chew spit in it when we lifted it up there was clearly a loogey at least stuck to the bottom of the glass. The guy we were with justifiably ripped the waitress a new one that poured the glass as Crazy Craig came over he offered to replace it and apologized(obviously it wasn’t his fault but it’s his place) but he also played it off saying«oh that’s just the left overs from an Irish car bomb we poured earlier.» There is no way that taste was from an Irish car bomb but on the slight chance it was it is completely nasty that when or if they wash their glasses that much is left in the bottom of the glass. As we were talking to Crazy Craig about it some old guy that was with the band that had been playing when we got there and was now at the pool tables came over and said, «get them the f*** out of here.» That was our que. We were out. A cab was waiting out front and as we got in Crazy Craig the bouncer and a few guys that looked to be apart of the goon squad came out on the front porch to stare us down. The cab driver even commented that we «got that place all rialed up». The cab driver took us to the sports bar down the street a bit that was doing Karaōke and the night ended a hell of a lot better than it started. While most of the people at the Cheeky Monkey were very friendly at first they handled our situation very unprofessionaly and we won’t ever go back.

Visited after being rained out on Tablerock. The staff was very friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced. We had teenage boys with us and they enjoyed the pool tables and dart boards. Boating would have been better but this place helped brighten our mood. We would frequent the place if we lived closer but will remember to visit again when we vacation in the Branson area. If you’re looking for some fun off the Branson strip without the annoying tourists and traffic give the Cheeky Monkey a try. Recommended!

Best place in Branson to grab a drink. Super friendly staff. And you can actually taste the alcohol in the drinks. Prices are reasonable. And the atmosphere is inviting. Did I mention you get a free shot when you walk in the door? Highly recommended!

I was really worried to try this place after reading the sole negative review on Unilocal. We decided to ignore the review and check this place out after noticing the $ 10 for $ 20 deal on Unilocal.I am so glad we did! The place is pretty hopping at night with live bands and djs. I hear that Ladies’ Night(Wednesday) is a good night to stop by as drinks are pretty cheap for the ladies. The place is pretty funky with a green zebra ceiling and cheetah wallpaper. We decided to check this place out on a Friday afternoon. We came during happy hour, which is 12 – 6PM(Monday through Friday). During happy hour, they have $ 2 domestic beers, $ 3 wells drinks, and free pool. They also have several really reasonably priced cocktails ranging from $ 5-$ 7(and these prices are good all day long, every single day of the week). I tried the Cheeky Monkey($ 6), a Monkey’s Uncle($ 5), and the Monkey Colada($ 5). All of them were absolutely delicious, fruity, and sweet. I’d have to say my favorite was definitely the Monkey’s Uncle. In terms of service, the bartender was super friendly and really attentive. He even gave us a free sample of Monkey Fuel(about the size of a shot glass) when we arrived. I thought that was so nice! I can only think of 2 downsides to this place. First, since it is a bar, people can smoke in it(which isn’t great). Second, I didn’t think the food was that great. We tried the bbq pork and it wasn’t anything special. In sum, a great place to grab drinks and play pool(especially from 12 – 6 during the week).

My wife and I were in the area and she had seen a review(not on Unilocal) that this bar was under new management and it was non-smoking. So we stopped by. Bad mistake. This bar is definitely A SMOKINGBAR. That’s not so bad, but the management should post that somewhere on-line(web page, facebook, etc). When we pulled up(a Monday at 2:30pm) there were four adults and two children sitting outside on the porch and the parents were swearing a blue streak(«f*** this/that» every other word). We should have left then, but went to the door to check out the inside. That’s when we encountered the smoke, and backed out. As we were preparing to leave one of the guys on the porch yelled to us «ya didn’t stay too f**kin long, did ya». If you’re comfortable with that kind of conduct on a Monday afternoon, then this bar is for you. If not, I’d steer clear.
