Our waiter was awful, no drinks refills, was so rude, food was cold, my chicken sandwich was good, super small tho.

Pretty bad, looked like their bussing staff went on strike. Trash and full dirty tables everywhere. Food was not worth the price. Their staff didn’t look like they gave a damn. Won’t go here ever again. I’m sure the state of Texas would consider it an insult for this place to be using its name.

Okay so my family of 19 came here a year ago for our annual family trip and rated this place as one of the best in Branson! We came back this year and was the absolute worst we have had. 9 out of the 19 were over done, wrong cuts of meat and/or purple; yes purple! One of our medium bone in ribeye was purple and it wasn’t near the bone. We sent steaks back three times and their was never any type of «we will take care of this» or «is their something else we can bring you! Instead we were asked if we would like dessert. Be very mind if you plan on coming in because it could be the best or worst you ever had.

I just remembered why I don’t come here. Unfortunately I recalled too late that there is nothing good here. So why 2 stars? The food is ok. Some people might find it tolerable. The steak was undercooked, fatty and lacking flavor. The service(Archie) was also lacking. He leaned on the table, obviously bored with working here(so quit already). He talked to all his customers in a condescending tone and couldn’t wait to walk away to the point where these 4 elderly women had to call him back to the table. Sad.

Was in Branson on business for a couple of days and this was very convenient to the hotel. The outside seating over looks the river and the Branson Landing fountains. The fountain show seems to run at the top of the hour and the outside seating gives you a perfect view. The first night I had the salmon. It was very good. Wednesday is half price for a bottle of wine. They package the bottle«to go». The next night I had the filet. It was perfectly cooked. Service was good.

Crowded but they seat you quickly especially if you call 20 min ahead of time to get on the waiting list(that’s the trick). This place is very popular for large groups yet the noise level is still under control, great spot to view the fountain show too. The steaks and chops were a nice portion and good flavor with very little fat so a good value. The sides are a good portion and not over cooked so we were happy there and even went back a second time already.

Service was not good, I can tell it was just our waiter. The guy who took our drinks was great. Not sure if he was just helping Stephanie out that night before she took our entrée order. I am saying it’s not good because she was gone for like 15 minutes not checking back if we needed more drinks or water. I was so thirsty when I was eating my food. We were a party of 6 and she messed up 4 orders. Instead of country steak she brought chicken. The 3 she only brought 1 side not two. Food was really good. Good portions, not bland. Not over cooked. Atmosphere was great! Love the Branson Landing location.

This place is amazing! After a long drive up from Texas and a lot of rude people in Springfield, hubby and I decided to head up to Branson in the hopes of a nicer town and friendlier people. We googled steakhouses and we came across this little gem, checked out their menu and decided to give it a go. We plugged in the address into the GPS and eventually we found this place along the water. We were a little skeptical walking in to it, but we had a craving for steaks and we had driven nearly an hour. This was happening LOL. We were seated on the nice patio by the water with a great view of the dancing fountain. Our waiter arrived a few minutes later and he was friendly. We ordered some drinks Dr. Pepper and Pepsi(pepsi tasted weird here– hubby said that was normal around missouri lol, the waiter changed it out for some water for me). We ordered the stuffed mushrooms to start and two steaks– medium rare. The mushrooms came out a little while later, we weren’t in a rush so it was nice to relax and enjoy eachothers company without being bombarded with food. Oh my gosh they were so tasty! Even hubby who doesn’t care much for mushrooms enjoyed them. They were hot, fresh and not the overly cheesy, gloppy mess stuffed mushrooms often are. Our steaks came out a short while later and sadly hubby’s steak that was supposed to be med-rare was more of a well done and mine was borderline. The waiter came by and we explained that our steaks were overcooked said hubbys was definitely but that mine was the way it was supposed to be and maybe borderline which slightly irritated me but he graciously took both plates back to re-do. Not too long after the manager came out with two new steaks and apologized for the wait and for the prior overcooking. He asked that we cut into them to check and this time they were spot on. Let me tell you those steaks were amazing! They practically melted in your mouth and hubby even said that they were easily one of his top 5 ever. This coupled with amazing sides we had the grilled asparagus, roasted brussel sprouts and loaded potatoes was a meal that was well worth the wait. When we got the check we were shocked at how great of a price it was and they had even comped the mushrooms. We will definitely be back in the future.

Service, atmosphere, and location are great. The smoked sirloin and bacon wrapped shrimp were awesome. Wasn’t a fan of the bread. I had ordered the loaded mashed potatoes and they gave me the regular garlic mashed. When i mentioned it they took it and brought it back with the«loaded». Maybe a tad overpriced.

We ate here for dinner on a Thursday evening. The place was packed but we were seated shortly after checking in. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer. They were delicious as they were mostly crab and very little cake. I had the spicy Caesar salad while my wife had the Caesar salad. Both of us were pleased with the salads. My wife had the filet Oscar, which is her favorite, and she was not disappointed. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I had the Parmesan crusted trout. It was good but not great. I think there was too much breaking for the thickness of the fish. It was tasty but had too much pecan flavor compared to the flavor of the fish that was present. Overall we had an excellent dinner and I would consider eating here again when I am in the area.

I’ve been to this restaurant three times and will be back many times over. If you’re in a hurry, if you’re wrangling kids, if you’re easily shocked by prices you should look elsewhere. There are lots of items on the menu, but this is a steakhouse. A slab of beef and some veggies should be ordered at a steakhouse. The complimentary bread is hot and fresh and the staff will keep them coming. Ordered the wedge salad with blue cheese. Perfect. Subtle bacon, tangy blue cheese. Fresh quarter head of lettuce. Then the steak came. Porterhouse ordered mid-rare to medium. Showed up closer on the extreme end of medium closer to mid-well. I sent it back because that’s what grown-ups do. And the waiter, not a word of complaint or attitude. He agreed and immediately went back to the kitchen. I munched on my veggies and bread until a new steak arrived, absolutely perfect. Lightly seasoned – salt, pepper, garlic – good marbling. It was exactly what a steak should be. Finished with a glass of scotch from their full bar. Price was more than what could have been spent elsewhere in Branson but not by much. Would definitely recommend.

Horrible service. Was told that they were«hit hard» when we arrived. I guess that means you wait 30 minutes for drinks, another 30 for the complimentary bread. Another 30 for nachos that weren’t rung in correctly(after speaking with the manager who informed me «he’s taking care of them» when I looked less than grateful he said, «no, I’m paying for it!» Then another wait for food that came out completely wrong. Also, we tried ordering multiple items that were«no longer on the menu.» Yep. If you love yourself, skip this place. Hell, even if this was going to be your last dining experience on earth, starve.

What a great place !! We are in Branson for a dance competition and we were a party of 13. I called and the manager Tony said he could save a table for us and it was wonderful. Casey our waitress was professional and super fun, she put up with 7 girls and hungry parents. She kept sneaking the girls bread and pickles. It was so cute and they loved it. It was ½ price wine bottle night and that was fantastic ! And if you can’t drink it all they cork it and bag it for you to take with you. My bottle of wine was $ 12.00 ! You can’t buy a glass for that. The food was great ! The teens had chicken fried steak and loved it, the kids menu was great for the little ones. Our adults had steak and shrimp. Great ! Steak and crab(Oscar style) also wonderful. The empanadas was the special and that was fantastic! What a great friendly place

Great view from outdoor patio. Good was good. I had the filet 6oz topped with blue cheese crumbles and mushrooms(extra for toppings) steak was cooked great. Toppings were a little skimpy blue cheese crumbles especially. Amazing Caesar salad. Great service. My waitress was Sarah B. I will return again when in branson!

I’d like to give them 2 stars because I really don’t want anyone else to waste their money here but in all honesty the food was not really bad– but NOT great — and definitely not worth the big bucks we spent. BTW, the price range here is listed as $$ but I think it almost qualifies as $$$. Yes, you can eat a sandwich or a taco but if you buy the higher-end steaks, get drinks and appetizers, you are going to spend closer to $ 30 per person. The appetizers were the biggest let-down. Luke warm spinach dipping sauce, bad chips, etc. The steaks were only«OK.» My ribeye was not at all tender and in all honesty, I’ve had a steak of their quality at Cracker Barrel for a MUCH better price. Please note: If you are using Unilocal for a suggestion guide, notice that with all the reviews, this high-end steakhouse can only average a 3. This should tell you something. Finally — I think 2 of the longest posts I’ve ever seen are listed for this restaurant! Ashley P and Tracie P — you can really burn up the keys on a review!

Nothing exciting. Over salted meats, mac & cheese is disappointing, green beans are bland, salad is a cheap iceberg mix. Not checked on much, so you’ll spend quite a bit of time waiting. As far as a steakhouse, I’d say very similar to Outback… and they’re only decent. I’ve been here several times over the last few years because others have wanted to go. Not my first or 3rd choice for a dining experience. Update 5÷21÷15: Within a week or two of posting my review I was contacted by someone from this establishment. I was asked to provide contact information so they could begin to rectify this. I’ve still not heard from anyone even though my response to their request for information was prompt. It’s all coming together now. THEYDON’T CARE. Management should be embarrassed… it always comes down to management. I’m now taking away a star to now show 2 stars. I also explained to this representative that I left out other information from the original review, so I’ll share it here: the place was dead, yet there were tables across the restaurant that were covered with dirty dishes… no exaggeration, we stopped counting at 9. In fact, that’s what caught my attention when we first arrived. Dirty dishes and dirty tables all over the place. 3 of my family members visited here tonight(5÷21÷15) to give it another try. All 3 of them received the wrong steak orders. In the future, whenever someone mentions Branson, my first response will be to avoid this place.

Good run-of-the-mill steak house. Tasty food, but pricey for what you get. The steaks were good(my boys had them). I liked the baked potato. Kid friendly but date night worthy.

Beside the water/flame show in the center of Branson Landing lies the Texas Land and Cattle restaurant. At 7:00 pm on a Sunday night, the wait was about 20 minutes, so we made our way to the bar to wait for the buzzer to alert us that our table was ready. I ordered a glass of Movendo Moscato. It was a bit dry for a Moscato, but still delicious as it had a bit of fruity flavor, and was also chilled properly. Texas Land and Cattle has a decent wine/beer selection, as well as house cocktails. The bar tender was making me a bit nervous as to the quality and cleanliness of the restaurant. Why? Because he would pour liquor into a glass, then turn and toss the liquid across the floor, splattering it across cabinets. I looked. There was no drain… so I’m not sure where he thought it was going. He never wiped it up. In regards to the alcohol selection, I think some more fruity drinks would be ideal. Our buzzer went off and we were escorted to a table on the other side of the restaurant, which was surprisingly darker than the bar, and took some time for my eyes to get used to. Our waiter was super cute.(Not going to deny it. He had eyes worth swooning over! Then again, most of the staff did…) His name was Zach. All of the wait staff wore nice fitting jeans with black button down shirts.(Which, for the record, is my favorite look on a guy.) The atmosphere is casual but classy, with a traditional steak house feel. The walls are lined in a lovely tan stone, with saddles and saddle blankets and horseshoe lamps decorating the interior. I ordered the 9 oz Ribeye with Bleu Cheese Crumbles, a baked sweet potato, and the spicy Caesar salad. The salad came out with the bread, which was lovely. The Caesar wasn’t really«spicy,» per-say. It was just a bit heavy on the perppercorn, that’s all. Speaking of a bit heavy… the salad had a bit too much on it, but it’s okay. I drowned the dressing in the bread. The croutons were made of the bread that was served alongside the meal, which was delicious. The romaine was fresh and crisp, meaning the salad hadn’t been sitting in a serving bowl. Major brownie points! I love me a good Caesar salad. The bread was orgasmic. So thick I almost choked on it, crusty on the outside and it came with whipped butter… I was in carb heaven. In all seriousness though – don’t choke on the bread. Don’t take too big of a bite. It is deceiving and you will choke! But it’s so worth it… The iceberg wedge salad came with bacon, bleu cheese(omitted from plate), and chopped tomatoes. My Rib-eye was phenomenal. Juicy, perfectly fatty, cooked to perfection, and not too rare – it had me at first bite. I typically find my steaks needing A1, the blessed steak sauce sent from the gods above, but this needed none of that. It had plenty of flavor by itself, and the bleu cheese just added to it! (I think the leftover fat off a Rib-eye is important, because some restaurants will give you a Rib-eye thats 70% fat… and 30% meat. Not okay. Also – not the case here.) The sweet potato was cooked perfectly, the skin peeled away from the potato on its own, and was perfectly creamy on the inside. The cinnamon sugar only added to the deliciousness, but I will say the potato did need salt. Other bonuses of this restaurant: they have bendy straws!!! Yay!!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local when we asked where we can find a good steak. Not only was the steak tasty & juicy, the outdoor seating overlooking the water at the landing was beautiful! We were there in the evening and there was a live band on the boardwalk and an awesome firey water light show going on. Good alcohol selection and the nachos were awesome!
