Food is ok but definitely not worth what your paying. Everything is kind of on the bland side.

Prompt and friendly service. Nice family atmosphere. The appetizer and salad were good, but the entrée portion size was insufficient to match the price. After all that we still left feeling hungry.

Having seen Ramunto’s each time I’ve visited Brattleboro for the past few years I finally decided to give them a try during my last visit. I ordered takeout, so I can’t speak to in-restaurant dining. However, it appeared to be somewhat disorganized despite it being nearly empty. I watched a couple who came in for a table have to wait due to a lack of a host/poor communication between the employees. The guy behind the counter even seemed kind of confused when it came to getting my takeout order. He was nice, but walked around the kitchen with my order in hand for a while for some unexplained reason. As for the food, it just wasn’t very good. I tried a meatball sub and a slice of the pesto chicken pizza, both were mediocre at best. The meatballs had a good texture and weren’t dry, but had an off flavor. The pizza was doughy and kind of tough, in addition to having a very muted pesto flavor. I didn’t taste the eggplant sub that was also part of my order, but my family said it was also not very good. I was mostly disappointed by the pizza as I had heard they actually did a NY style thin crust, but maybe I mistakenly assumed they did that for all their pizza instead of for just their cheese pizza. Not sure about that.

Went with a group and we ordered a variety of items… pizza, chicken parm, etc. When seeing pizza delivered to other tables prior to receiving ours, it looks so appealing. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t meet the expectations. Crust was good but pizza lacked pizzazz. Not many toppings on pizza and cheese/sauce needs more flavor. Garlic bread knots were the best of the meal. This could be a very good place to eat but needs a bit of work.

Well I have driving by Ramuto Brick Oven Pizza in Brattleboro for a few years. I heard a jingle on the radio so on my way home last night I stopped in. I asked for a plain piece of cheese. The young guy asked if I wanted it heated I said yes please. He said«oh this is fresh out of the oven.» I said I would take it. He picked it up and placed it in a go box. Got in my car and drove off. Once over the bridge as I was heading east, I opened it up and ITWASCOLD!“ So I wonder. Was that his first day? When I take a pie out of the oven you cannot hold that first piece but for a few seconds. Maybe it is a Ramuto thing, but I was disappointed. That being said I do like room temperature pizzas and this piece of pie was pretty good. The cheese and sauce really worked well together. Being from the Bronx I can tell you the crust is classic New York Thin Crust. Maybe I might have to try it again and check the temperature myself! BTW The place was hopping and people it looked like they were really having a good time. The aroma was outstanding. This was properly a slip of the mind! LOL

Service is super slow food mediocre. Served my son spoiled sour milk. Waitress came back from the kitchen to inform she checked the expiration date on the milk and it wasn’t until tomorrow so the should be fine. I smelled the milk and almost threw up it was so bad but it doesn’t expire until tomorrow? But of course they said they wouldn’t charge us for it. How gracious of them. Last time here.

Looks good on the outside an inside. Pizza was luke warm so was the garlic knots. They didn’t bring napkins out with my food. And nobody asked if I wanted something to drink. Over priced too!

Good food, but calling for take out during any main dinning time they will put you on hold for at least 5 minutes.

I come by here while visiting friends in the area, usually when on the run when we want some quick takeout. The food is good and the portions are large. Takeout takes a long time to prepare and they don’t cut large sandwiches in half(what??). Otherwise it’s solid for what it is.

Update — 10÷18÷15 This place is still just okay. They seemed to have worked out some of the MANY kinks since opening, and I have been a few times. Fell in love with their fried pickles. They were truly outstanding and served with homemade dill ranch dressing for dipping. Of course, they have now removed them from the menu, which is a huge bummer, because that was something they did well and differentiated them from all the other places in town. Now, they’re just another average pizza place. Service is pretty good, kind of like the food. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the one in Keene, but I always had a good experience there. Not sure why this one isn’t better.

Food was decent, but the service was sloooooowwwww. What we hoped would be a quick stop on our drive thru VT ended up being an hour-long(or more) lunch for 2 very simple dishes(and the crowd there was rather sparse). Avoid if you need to be somewhere quick…

We ordered when they first opened and were not very impressed. Not impressed at all. Had take out tonight which is several months after they opened. The food is very dry. THe food is not as described on their menu. Not a recommendation.

Food is decent, much better in the Keene location. Service is un realistically slow, waited 45 minutes for a BRICKOVEN pizza. Last time I’ll order. Management needs to fix this, slowest cooking staff in a 20 miles radius.

My husband got the two of us take out salads for a late supper. Caprese for me and the Cobb salad for him. The salads have the potential to be wonderful but the amount of white iceberg lettuce really turned us both off. It just seems to lack effort and seems incomplete.

Worst Ramuntos out there. This one just doesn’t cut it. I’m not sure how the one in Keene is so different than Brattleboro since they’re owned by the same person… service is very slow since they’re under staffed. They don’t season the chicken before putting it on the pizza. We’ve given this place a few tries and it gets worse each time. Skip Brattleboro and keep driving to Keene or better yet, Claremont.

The Roundabout! Delicious ! This place is great! Newly redone with a full bar and seperat rooms which makes it geat for just about any group of people. Their pizza is hands down the best in town, while a whole pie can add up if your a big toping lover, their slices are a steal for the price and the pasta portions are outrageous definitely getting your bang for your buck their. The staff is fun and outgoing and anytime I go with friends its been nothing but awesome drinks from the bar and good food… definitely the perfect spot for this college student to grab a slice after night class because their the only place around open late enough to actually eat at ;)

Legit NYC Pizza! We rolled into Ramunto’s on a Friday night and it was fairly busy. The hostess was very friendly and told us there was about a 10 – 15 minute wait. Not bad considering how busy it looked from the lot. We opted to sit at the bar where there were a few open spots. The bartenders were great; very attentive and took care of us right away. They checked on us frequently to make sure beverage levels were good. They have a great selection of beer on tap. I was happy to have a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA on draft. We started off with an order of Garlic Knots. These were probably some of the best we’ve had. They were made from pizza dough, but were not overly oiled like other places often do. They were seasoned nicely and had a good combination of outside crisp and inside chewiness. Minor minor grips: We could taste a hint of cinnamon on one. Although, it was interesting to see how that version tasted. For the main courses we had a Chicken Cesar Salad and a New York Cheese Pizza. The salad was good! The portion was generous, the chicken was juicy and it was topped with shaved Pecorino Ramano cheese. The pizza was a bit late coming out and the bartender was very apologetic. To make up for it, they gave us the 18″ at the 14″ price. The pizza was outstanding. I’ve had pizza in NYC before and this tasted exactly the same. The pizza was thin with a nice crust. It was cooked in that classic NYC way that allows you to pick it up and fold it in half should you choose to do so. The flavor was excellent; the right balance of sauce, cheese and herbs. They nailed it with this pizza! This is darn good pizza in Southern Vermont. We had some leftovers which we took home and reheated a day or so later. It came out great. I was speaking with the bartender and he indicated that they will make it a bit more crispy if customers request it. So if you’re more of a New Haven pizza aficionado, you have an option there. But the way they do it is really good. I’d opt to leave things as is… and I love New Haven pizza. Give this place a try! The pizza is outstanding. I had to keep reminding myself I was eating pizza this good in VT.

I heard back from the manager the next morning, he apologized about the problems with our pizzas, and confirmed they had two new guys in training, and a lot of problems that afternoon. He offered a free replacement for our Garlic Knot pizza, which my wife picked up the next day. It was perfect, just as good as the very first one we had a few weeks ago. So, they are still getting their act together, still adapting to new staff and popularity. Just be sure to triple check any orders before you walk out the door.
