This review is for wedding catering provided by Gretchen and her team: I simply cannot say enough great things about Gretchen and her amazing team. From the first day we met her up through out wedding weekend itself — and even AFTER, when she and her team stuck around post-brunch to help us pack up and clean — she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Also, she makes astoundingly delicious food. Gretchen took the time to get to know us, and listened patiently as we told her what we were looking for and thinking of for our weekend — and then she listened patiently AGAIN when we changed things up on her a bit. She took our wants, wishes, and preferences very seriously, but instead of just delivering exactly what we asked for, she brought her own unique talent and creativity to the process in order to give us something that was, in the end, even closer to what we wanted than we could’ve thought up ourselves. She collaborated with us, and because of the care she took to understand our ideas and overall vision, she prepared and presented dishes that complimented the entire rest of the wedding. Without a doubt, the meals we had with our family and friends throughout the weekend would not have been as special and meaningful — and delicious! — as they were if not for Gretchen and her kind, helpful, courteous, cheery, and exceptionally skilled team. From the get-go, in choosing Gretchen as our caterer, we were 110% certain that no matter what else happened, our guests would eat well and leave the wedding raving about the food. Gretchen did not disappoint. And did I mention how delicious it all was? It’s been months, and I’m still thinking about her carbonara, her Brussels sprouts, her goat cheese mac and cheese and her chicken thighs and her broccoli and her brisket, in addition to all the unforeseen touches(a big bright salad of happened-upon-that-day heirloom tomatoes, a brilliant repurposing of a canoe as a beer cooler/display, to name just a couple) that helped make our weekend more wonderful than we ever could’ve hoped for and imagined.

Start off with a great selection of coffees, teas, and chai. Add to that a killer breakfast menu including delicious scones and other goodies. Then top it off with friendly staff and great music and this is pretty much as good as it ever gets for breaky!

Found ‘The Porch, Too’ on Unilocal.(Driving home from OKEMO.) We are so happy! Banh mi, sweet potato quesadilla, Belgian waffles(with homemade whipped cream & fresh strawberries.) Warm lemon bars, chocolate cupcakes, pear muffins with cinnamon crumble on top. Everything was exceptional. Nice people, great music on the stereo. Looking forward to going again!

I’ve been here twice in the last week and both times our meals were excellent. The second time there were 7 of us in our party and everyone loved their food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and creative. So nice to have a quick, convenient food option that’s above the ordinary. Our favorites: Bahn Mi and the chicken bacon ranch sandwiches, the Vietnamese chicken and the Nantucket cobb salads and the homemade unsweetened ice tea is delish. Wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!

Don’t miss out on this place. The food is fantastic and its awesome that everything is homemade. Soups, sandwiches, breakfast and catering. It’s all well priced and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Love that my office is close by so I swing in for lunch all the time!

Consistently good and consistently friendly. I’ve had a number of items from the menu now. My favorites are the Tomato Basil soup, the Vietnamese salad, the Cuban, the Portuguese muffin, and the lemonade. Best of all, the staff is friendly and funny! I also love that they compost everything. Great place to grab some breakfast and a bit of lunch. Looking forward to trying the new dinner!

I’ve been here a couple times and had the ban mhi sandwich. Really tasty. It’s nice to have a sandwich place that isn’t just serving the same old stuff. The place has a nice feel to it and the service is good.

Great little place. The Cuban quesadilla was delicious and just the right size. The waffles were also big and yummy. Lots of locals eat here, and many of them knew the staff. Would definitely come back.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we stopped for lunch. We both had the Nantucket Cobb Salad. My wife also ordered the Soup Special. While she liked the soup, she preferred fewer noodles. They gave her a new bowl, and thanked her for giving them the opportunity to fix it for her — very impressive.

Really wanted to like this place given all the awesome reviews. The fellow who took our order was friendly enough but it was downhill from there. Ordered two Americanos(one came out in a pretty chipped cup), the veggie omelette(with sautéd artichoke, spinach, avocados and cream cheese), and a two egg breakfast(with fennel sausage, toast, and home fries). The two eggs, ordered over easy, were totally raw. The bread was toasted but cold(ordered dry but came out with butter already spread). Fennel sausage was hard and burnt. The omelette was decent but the ‘sautéd veggies’ were simply put in and the cream cheese was put in in a couple chunks rather than spread or melted. I think the idea is that you bus your own tables as we were called up to get our coffee and meals — but the couple after us had their food delivered to the table? It didn’t seem like they were short staffed, and they weren’t in a middle of a rush, so I’m not really sure what happened. We voiced our feedback to one of the staff(he was very friendly about it) on our way out so I’m hoping that our experience will be taken into consideration going forward for other folks. Overall experience was a bit of a dud, especially for the price point.

While having my car serviced next door I noticed this nice little spot. I had the Cuban and my girlfriend had a BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. Both of our dishes were filling and affordable. Not to mention the the amazing customer service.

I wasn’t expecting this place to be more of a deli, but the food was excellent! The coffee was great, and we had a number of different meals that I’d order again next time I’m in town. I’d recommend, just keep in mind that it’s not really a restaurant, but more of a café with great sandwiches and burritos.

Great food, friendly staff. The coffee is good too. So glad the porch expanded to a restaurant. It’s a great location on the way in and out of town. Its nice to finally have somewhere worth stopping at in that area.

Happened to stumble across this place shortly after it opened and was trying to avoid the heavy traffic of downtown Brattleboro. It was pretty busy when I stopped in, but my sandwich was made quickly. I got the veggie sandwich. The avocado was excellent. The sandwich tasted healthy with all the fresh ingredients, but I don’t mean that in an «eat your spinach» kind of way. Just what I needed.

I’ve been intending to eat here for awhile and finally made it today. So glad I did! What a great menu and excellent food! The owner previously ran a food truck & catering business out of Chesterfield, NH that was a huge favorite among locals. She has expanded into this new Brattleboro location with a larger menu and created a little restaurant with wonderful character. Don’t let the outside and Aubuchon Plaza location fool you, the inside is cute, comfortable and tastefully done. The breakfast & lunch menu have so many creative options, many made with fresh local ingredients, that I had a hard time choosing. My friends and I had the sweet potato quesadillas and almond chicken salad wrap, which were both excellent, but we could have gotten more adventurous salads or sandwiches(Bahn Mi, Vietnamese chicken salad). There are yummy homemade desserts as well(rhubarb crisp bars, caramel brownies, mmm). If you live in the area it is definitely worth checking out. If you are passing through and looking for a quick breakfast or lunch, this is definitely worth the stop.

This is the second time I have had breakfast here in as many days! The egg sandwiches, burritos, waffels were made even better by the top notch fog buster coffee. The staff greeted us with warmth and smiles… And helped us navigate the awesome menu. We have been coming to Brattleboro for 17 years — this new eatery is a great addition to a great culinary town!
