Love this food. The owner is the cook and sometimes server. This is usually a winning combination. Most Mexican restaurants I can taste the can opener. This is an exception. Loved the chilliquillas.

Terrible, period! Do not get the queso, it is a block a Monterey jack cheese that is half melted. The drinks were terrible. After we waited for at least 30 mins for our food, they sent out something that resembled soggy chili nachos that had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. This was presented as «the chef’s speciality». Unfortunately I had a bite of this, quite possibly the worst food item I have ever eaten. I would like to rate the food, but we never received it. The wait staff was nice, and said they had been there for one week and this happens every night(I don’t think they will be there much longer). I would never recommend this restaurant. Go to Fiesta Jelisco, much better.

This is my favorite mexican restaurant of all time! It may not be the cleanest and the nicest but you will have the time of your life here! Jalapeño’s is a small family run restaurant with super authentic food. It is small but usually there’s ample seating. A nice sized salsa bar is also featured! The owner and servers here are super cool. I mean, they will take shots of tequila with you and hook you up with pitchers of margaritas, at least they did with us. The food is delicious! Every time I go to Breck I save this place for the final night of my trip. I mean, this really seals each vacation as awesome! The food is cooked by I believe the owner’s mother. She does a great job. The service is usually pretty good and they like to have fun. I mean, we’ll spend like 2.5 hours here just getting crazy. Everything here is cheap too. You’ll get out of this place full of food, possibly drunk, but won’t spend more than $ 20 a person. Don’t even bother going to the«other popular» mexican places in Breck. They will rip you off. I think they charged extra for tortilla chips. Save your money and sanity and go to Jalapeño’s. Although hard to find, it’s well worth it. Love this place. They also have a dollar wall where you can make memories. Check the pics! DIRECTIONS(because i don’t think the map shows the right spot): At the intersection of S. Park Ave and Ski Hill Road, walk towards Main St. There will be a hotel on your right. Right after you pass the hotel and before you cross a bridge that goes over the small river, make a right turn right behind the hotel along the river. Jalapeño’s will be on your right in the last shop space.

food-pretty good food, 4⁄5 ambience-casual, yet a bit too dirty, 2⁄5 service-pretty bad last time i went, 2⁄5 the hallway to the bathroom/the stench/the owner talking to us about the backed up sewer problem-0/5
