We were looking for a different venue for lunch and discovered Spencer’s in Beaver Run on Peak 9. Tremendous soup, salad and sandwich bar in a quiet atmosphere at a reasonable price. They also have a regular menu or hot buffet. It sure beats the over priced burger bars on the slope.

Very disappointed with the overall experience. Our server was very unsure about every aspect of our dining experience, from the drinks, specials and price. She kept going back to her manager for reassurance. Perhaps she was inexperienced. I ordered the clam chowder which came to me cold. My Manhattan was only filled ¾ of the glass and was very watered down. I would not recommend.

We went on Thanksgiving so it was extremely crowded, but we had a reservation. Except they gave our table away… so we got stuck in the back room that looks like it’s not even connected to the restaurant area. Anyway… it actually turned out to be nice. The back room had way less people so it wasn’t crazy loud and crowded and we had all the same food at the buffet as the main area. Food was pretty good. There was a good salad and a giant bowl of shrimp and crab legs. Awesome! The best part was the pasta bar. You tell the guy what you want and create your own concoction. It was to die for. Best pasta ever! I didn’t get a chance to try the Thanksgiving food, but apparently the turkey and ham was really good. Dessert was pretty good too. Our waiter was awesome, very funny. :)

Good. Pricey but not terribly over priced for hotel food. The lamb tbone was good — med rare. Good salad bar. Ok soup. Meh bread. Very slow night due to off season. Plenty of food.

Staying at beaver run resort… We got completely ignored by all the wait staff and there was only one other table seated and I counted at least 5 other wait staff standing around. Not even a hi. Walked out after 20 minutes, told the guy at the front and he just shrugged his shoulders… Wife went back for breakfast two days later and said they were basically ignored again. Go to the deli or bar to get food. Zero stars

We are staying at Bever Run for the week and were pretty disappointed to find almost the entire town closed. While planning this trip no where did it say anything about spring being mostly closed. But we were happy to find that out of everything that wasn’t open the bar at Spencers was and they were serving food. I was pretty impressed that with the lack of patrons the food was fresh and very good. Service was great but then again we were the only people there at one point. I’d be interested to try this during a busy season.

Extremely disappointed. The steaks were tough and ill prepared. Over priced for the quality and the staff not overly friendly. For a resort destination, we expected much more. We will definitely not be returning.

We were staying at Beaver Run and went for breakfast. It was decent, like a typical Shoney’s buffet, pancakes, eggs, meat and fruit. The only complaint was the bill. For 2 people having the buffet and coffee, we paid $ 42.00(That was with the tip). We later went to main street, and found many reasonably priced options.

Nothing special, good typical buffet style breakfast. Servers were attentive and fast to replenish drinks and food.

The service was good but the food was terrible. Tasted as if it was frozen and thawed out, basic resort food. You’re better off venturing down to the Breckenridge«downtown» and finding a cute restaurant there.

Stopped in for a quick lunch during a conference. Service was nice considering it was just me, but the food was only meh and if I’d been less lazy I would have gone into town. But if you want a lot of food right off the slopes, I suppose you could give them a shot.

Stopped in for a beer while on a break from the slopes in peak 9. The bar is a hidden gem, you can order food here too and the prices are reasonable compared to other places here on peak 9.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Slow, inattentive service, small portions, tasteless food and high prices. Of course, the hotel staff raved about the place but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone staying at the Beaver Run Resort.

Don’t go here it’s a $ 30 — $ 40 for an entrée and the cook is terrible. I got the prime rib my girlfriend got the fillet both ordered medium rare but both came out medium well. Both were sent back and once again came out medium well. As well the fried oyster appetizer had hair in it. The manager was nice enough to remove all three items from the bill but nevertheless it’s not worth your time. Please take my word hearthstone is a little cheaper and a million times better. Which is where we went because we were still very hungry after finding only our salads edible…

We went for dinner on a weekday and there were only two parties there(we were one of them)…but it wasn’t ski season yet. We enjoyed the peace and quiet since the night before we were at an Irish restaurant there and it was so noisy you couldn’t talk. I had a ribeye steak, medium rare, and even though it was more on the rare side, it was still good. The green beans that accompanied it were cooked just right, a little on the crisp side. I would go back just for the ambiance… quiet and relaxing.

Linh: How many stars would you give Spencer’s? The boyfriend: I’d give them 4.5 stars because I was HUNGRY. Despite having been riding for 3.5 hours causing us to become ravenous, weak and starving, Spencer’s restaurant is an excellent place for lunch for a «fine”-dining restaurant that is reasonably priced. It’s clearly Breck’s best kept secret. Located on the bottom of peak 9, to the left of the food court, and through the revolving glass doors is the warm, inviting, restaurant with clothed tables and a gas fireplace in the middle to bring in comfort. I got the Spencer’s burger and fries($ 10.50) and the boyfriend got the avocado chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries($ 10). His chicken sandwich was so big, I had to be creative about putting my mouth around it for a bite. My burger was a ½ pounder swiss burger-cooked medium to taste, generous with portions, and was sandwiched between 2 grilled crunchy buns… just how I like it. If you have a big appetite, they have a buffet with 2 hot dishes, a salad bar, soup, and dessert for $ 14.95 until 2pm. As David C mentioned, soup and salad buffet was an option for $ 7.95. A fantastic deal for ski resort standards. Service was wonderful. Water was refilled often and the servers even emphasized that for every 1000 ft up you go, you should drink an extra glass of water a day. Great looking out. Spencer’s is a great place for a warm, comfortable, nice restaurant for the same price as the food courts next door. Definitely Breck’s best kept secret.
