KM’s upper-management really do care about their customers. After my first review(3 stars), upper management contacted me to apologize for the delay in getting my custom paint order back late. They gave me 2 gallons of free paint for my troubles. When I went in for my 2 free gallons, Tyler(the manager) was very friendly and helpful. I did order 2 more custom colors and I did get them at the time promised. I was very impressed at the quick response from upper management to this matter. That being said I think the store still needs to work on training their staff. My husband called to see if our paint order was ready. Here’s how the conversation went. Husband: «Hi, I’m calling to check to see if our paint order is ready.» Staff: «I think so.» Husband: «Could you check to make sure, please?@. Staff: «No, I’m looking at it.» Must have been the same guy Janet H spoke to!

I am a very experienced painter and interior decorator. A neighbor provided a sample of her lovely paint which came from Kelly Moore. I went to the store with the code and the swatch and asked for a sample container to try. The young man with light colored closely cut hair(don’t know his name), proceeded to tell me they no longer make that particular color. I asked for something that would be «close», and he smartly informed me, «look, lady, we don’t make colors that are like other colors. We either make THAT color or we DON’T». Really? ! I was insulted and miffed by his lack of creativity in showing me something similar. There are literally thousands of hues from which to choose. I avoid this store now, even though it is conveniently located near my home. Instead, I choose to drive a few miles and exclusively shop Sherwin Williams on Fairview/Balfour, where impressively, they EVENREMEMBERMYNAME!!! Shame on your arrogant attitude, young man at Kelly Moore, toward the female do it yourselfers. Just because I do not wear painter’s whites does not make me an IDIOT.

Went into KM In Brentwood yesterday to look at some paint colors. While I was there Joe came and checked on me to see if there was anything I needed. Eventually I asked him about paint, brushes etc for a project that we’re planning. It was so refreshing to deal with an employee who was helpful, knowledgeable etc. So often anymore the sales staff treats a customer like their imposing on conversations, phone texting etc. and if you ask a question you’re usually met with a blank stare. Joe was so nice to deal with, and even when the store was closing, and I tried to not impose he was the one that insisted on continuing to help answer my questions. We’re in the process of planning a large renovation, and I feel overwhelmed most of the time. Joe helped to make on thing less stressful, and this Kelly Moore store now has my business for good.

Quite nervous to paint our 1970-style oak cabinets. When purchasing the paint and supplies, Tyler Due at this KM store was so helpful and patient in his explanation of right tools and techniques for this DIY project. Tyler«mentored» us on cleaning the cabinets, how to correctly apply primer, thin the paint for the sprayer to achieve even coverage, sand in-between coats, dry 24 hours between coats, add an «extender» for better paint leveling, apply paint on the base cabinets with mohair and foam rollers, and make sure that the doors and drawers cured for 5 – 10 days before re-installation to assure a non-tacky touch between doors and base cabinets. Yes, it made for a lengthy process, but WOW what a professional result! Other than painting walls, we are total novices when it came to tackling 35 year old, porous oak cabinets. Just finished the laundry room and bathroom cabinets(8 drawers, 17 doors, 4 base cabinets). So happy with the tips and pointers from Tyler that we’re confident going into our next project: the kitchen! The kitchen will be done in phases so it may take us a couple of months to finish because of 24-hour drying in between coats and lengthy curing period. But we know that at the end of our efforts, it will be spectacular. Thanks Tyler! You’re a great teacher! Thank you for spending the extra time with us. We are very satisfied customers.

I went to this paint store yesterday to have a «color match» done. Tyler Due, the manager, explained to me that the were extremely busy with a back log of paint matching to be done. He suggested I go to the Antioch store so I did not have to wait. He was kind enough to call them for me. Only to find out they too were swamped!!! Everyone must be painting these days! So, that being said he dropped everything he was doing to take care of my paint needs. He was patient and matched the color perfectly. Even gave up his lunch to make certain I was a happy customer, and I was!!! Thank you Tyler for going the extra mile for your customers!

Ok well let me start off with saying this, the manager I dealt with on the phone prior to coming to the store was wonderful! But when we came into the store unfortunately she wasn’t there and the store lead is a racist toothless idiot! This was a terrible experience and it is unfortunate that his employees that day had to hear my wrath because he wouldn’t even talk to us about an issue we were having. He was not busy, he just didn’t want to do his job and left it to two young kids to do his dirty work! The only time he did anything was run behind my husband looking over his shoulder to make sure he didn’t steal anything! There were customers needing his help and asking for it but he was too busy watching the«black guy» so he couldn’t help them! Needless to say we drove down to sherwin Williams on Lonetree in Antioch, were pleasantly greeted and ended up getting our supplies at a waaaaay cheaper price!!!

Painted the whole interior of our new house a year ago.(I haven’t had time to write a review until now sadly). Spent about $ 700 on a few different colors. We chose a light grey for our master bedroom that turned out to have a major hint of green(nothing like the swatch, not even close! It should have not been anywhere near green!) And the entire rest of our house was supposed to be a light beige, which turned out an ugly salmon color. Again nothing like the swatch or even close to the colors on the swatch! They can’t correctly mix paint here. I called to complain about a week after we painted(a year ago) and they told me to let it dry and I should have picked colors that I knew I would like… paint doesn’t take over a week to dry and lack of effective customer service! I didn’t pursue to bug them because I was pregnant and had my son during all of this and didn’t want my newborn around paint fumes if they were to fix the problem and re-paint it! Don’t waste your time and $ here!
