Orwood Resort

We have a place on Bethel Island & we jet ski over for breakfast. Our favorites are the eggs benedict (Saturdays only!) and the carnita scramble (nice & spicy — you can turn the heat up or down, depending on how many jalapenos you eat). Bloody Mary’s — good. Ice cold beer — good. Mimosa’s — hit & miss. I think they changed their champagne last year & they haven’t been as good. This place is busy on weekends & crazy on holidays. They really try hard with their service, but patience (and a cold beverage) helps. We love to sit outside & watch people load & unload their watercraft. On 4^th of July we bring paddles with #‘s so we can judge people’s abilities. Fun atmosphere. It keeps us coming back.

We had a group of 10 for lunch yesterday and it was GREAT! Angel and her staff were friendly, service was spot on, and food was very good. Fish and chips were a hit as well as the tri tip sandwich. Very nice experience was had by all!

This resort is a delta icon. I have loved their service and food for more than 20 years. I could name all the great employees, however the sister that runs their storage is a different story. No matter how long my devotion to the facility as a whole. The sister that «runs» the storage portion has zero respect for the patrons. She has ALWAYS treated people with disrespect and an «I’m better than you» mentality. Don’t dare make a late payment without feeling her superiority!!! Orwood resort is a great place. Don’t use their storage facility unless you want to feel like less of a person. Remember she is doing YOU a favor! Lynne Miley needs to check herself, and the easy money she makes as part of the Orwood estate.
This is my first and ever review on Unilocal.This posting was not made in haste. It is the result of many accounts I’ve had, and heard, from the treatment to patrons. Do not take it lightly. A day after I posted the first part of this review I received a letter of eviction and a threat of her lawyers getting involved because of my review. With a sarcastic attitude to match. Snarky doesn’t have the bite Orwood storage management deserves. However that is how I will describe it.

Definitely a fan of Orwood ! Went there yesterday, I had the chicken ranch sandwich (grilled chicken breast, mushrooms and Monterey Jack cheese, another person in my party had the French Dip and he stated it was the BEST French Dip he has ever had … and he’s had a few at different restaurants !! The service was GREAT ! Fantastic place !!

Mmmmmmilkshake. Omg. old fashioned awesomness!!! And a Caesar salad with grilled steak. Basalmic Vinita and oil. crumpled blur cheese and candied Walnuts

Came here for my first time over the weekend with my lady and I. Jess was our server and she took care of us to the fullest. She recommended the lobster so we both got it. Everything our drinks were low she was always there asking for a refill. She even helped us box our leftovers. 5 star for Jess for doing what a waitress is suppose to do. Definitely coming back only for her thanks!!!

The fish tacos were to die for. I love little jems like this we came by boat, everbody was really freindly the drinks were a good price I’ll definitely be back the only reason I didn’t 5 star it was they messed up my freinds meal but the server was good about it, but we still had to eat at separate times. Great place to watch the boats and undwine, they get busy in the summer the place to be. Quick to fast water and a at home campground for RVs. Never worried to leave my car or boat in the parking lot compared to other marinas

Went here to have lunch yesterday (Sunday). We waited 30 minutes for a table. Finally got seated, were given menus and water, then waited another 30 minutes. Finally someone stopped by the table and told us we couldn’t order because the wifi was down. We were paying cash but were told that they can’t get orders to the kitchen without wifi. Seriously? They don’t have a back-​up plan? How about using a notepad to write down an order? Absurd. I won’t be back.

Fun to go up the Delta to get there instead of driving. But one CAN drive there! The lobster special is cool!

No better value when it comes to steak and lobster! They recently added a rib-​eye as an alternative to the New York strip. It gets a little loud in the dining room sometimes on Friday and Saturday nights, but that’s understandable given the crowd. There’s always the option of patio dining with gas fire pits keeping things comfortable in the Winter. The staff is always friendly and dining attire is run-​what-​you-​brung. Tracy, Michelle and Ryanne all know how to make a pretty mean MaiTai! This place is fast becoming a weekend ritual.

Had a wonderful lunch earlier today. I went with the Okie Taco (Lite), chicken-​filled soft taco and she got the fish and chips. The taco was generously-​sized and the fish and chips flaky and fresh, not greasy. The service was quick and attentive. Bonus points for being able to watch boaters on the launch ramp and dogs retrieving balls in the water.

Friday & Saturday nights in the Summertime, Orwood Resort serves
Steak & Lobster for $ 19.99. You get a salad, potato & veggie that come on the same plate. The steak is not thick but it is good. There is melted butter served as well, for dipping the lobster. This place is family owned & they do a great job. Bonus: For entertainment you can watch people pull their watercraft from the delta.

The services was impeccable. (Male server named Chris made us feel welcomed, we have only been there a few times but he remembers us and always goes out of his way to provide exceptional service.)The food was good! We couldnt wait to go back and try the Steak and Lobster dinner, so we did and it was a tremendous value. I was disappointed to find that its not offered during my first visit on a Sunday so instead I had the fish and chips. The fries were great (everyone agreed) the fish was a little on the greasy side but edible, my nephew had a steak sandwich which he loved (and he is a really picky eater) My fiancé had an amazing burger which he loved. The atmosphere was exactly what I wanted and the super star of the experience is the service!

Orwood is a fun summer place to post-​up and watch the all the activity on the boat ramp. We like getting some food and a beer and sitting outside to watch the show.
The food here is pretty good. I’ve always enjoyed my meals. And, the Okie Taco is something special!
There are times when the service is lacking, and the crowd can get a little rowdy. It seems that a lot of people bring their children here, and I’d have to say that is a mistake. After a long day on the water, some of the patrons can be a little boisterous and use language that is inappropriate for kids.
All in all, a good time.

Love their steak and lobster special, what a great special and deal. Place sits on the water in the heart of the delta and just an all around great venue. The waitress are all sweethearts Michelle and Paula, these women are running this joint, they should be praised everyday. And Roman the waiter was very attentive. We will definetly be back I love this place.

Ah, it is OK but the only reason to go is if you happen to be there. It is there for resort customers but open to anyone. Food is decent, there are good beers, price is pretty normal.

My family is in and out of here probably once a month. I’ve hesitated reviewing this place because it’s a very mixed bag. Food is alright. Good enough for a night when you don’t necessarily want to cook. Service is hit or miss, more miss than hit.
They don’t take call in take out orders. They have done it once or twice but you literally have to call and see if they want to take an order that particular day. Typically it is a No. Kind of funny how unprofessional the service is.
But after tonight, it was pretty much the nail in the coffin where this place was concerned.
We pulled in the parking lot at 8:15 and it was deserted looking. I checked the hours on the way in the door and there were no customers inside. The wanna-​be Justin Beiber-​esque kid who was considered «service» came over to the door to say that they were closing so I made a point to look at the sign with hours on it.
He takes one look at my young daughter and says that she’s not allowed in the restaurant because of her cheer uniform.
Um, she was in socks and tennis shoes, shorts and a tank. Seriously? This intellectual clearly didn’t want to service anyone and was coming up with a stupid excuse to not provide service. Funnily enough is we were just there last Wednesday after her cheer practice again and she was wearing the same exact thing except this little half wit wasn’t working so I knew it was b.s.
Even funnier, this place is usually crawling with postage stamp covered camel toes so I really don’t get where my daughter’s cheer uniforms was «inappropriate.»

This is a decent little spot to eat at before hopping on your boat. I came here for breakfast and dinner during the same day, lol! My little sisters are big fans of the Mickey Mouse pancakes. I had the traditional bacon and eggs and it was good, but nothing special. The steak and lobster special is a great deal that left me feeling full but not bloated. Grabbed a strawberry milkshake to go for dessert and that was pretty good too. I will be back next time I’m in town to try some other menu items!

Food was awesome, highly recommend the Steak and Lobster dinner! Wish the bar had a bigger variety of drinks but oh well.
Only thing that bothered me was that the bathroom was constantly being used so you have to walk around to the side to use the other restrooms (not very well lit leading up to it).
