I ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich and what I got was all bagel and very little egg, bacon, and cheddar. The egg and toppings were cooked in a microwave ending up in a perfectly round, fake tasting disk. It was about as thin as a piece of lettuce with no flavor. Won’t be back! JT

Almost didn’t stop in after reading the other reviews regarding service. But we were there today during off season so thought we would give it a try. Service was still not exactly friendly but the good was great. It isn’t a crispy outside bagel like you would find in NY but by far a better bagel than you would find elsewhere. I had the egg white/vegan sausage omelet sandwich on an everything bagel. Perfect amount of cream cheese, you could taste it but it didn’t overpower the bagel. Husband had the meat lovers. Skimpy on the meat but taste was great. I would go back but hopefully service will improve.

Very average. Was not happy to see the egg was microwaved like a fast food restaurant. Bagels were only ok. Good coffee and vegetarian options but not impressed with the quality of food.

Fifteen minute wait in line for a coffee and a bag of bagels to go. Looked to be plenty of staff but the system is inefficient. The bagels are not made fresh on location but trucked in and it is apparent in quality. Bagels are average, similar to Funkin’ Donuts.

I waited in an obnoxious line for 20 minutes for a breakfast burrito that should more aptly be called an «egg wrap». My iced coffee was indeed strong tasting. The prices were about fair with the area, and my order got to me not quickly, but before enough time passed for me to be disappointed. The décor was nice and bright, were it not for the claustrophobia-inducing crowd I might have eaten inside. Huge oversight: not a single damned waste receptacle on the outside deck which has seating for about 40 people. Also, maybe eat the cost of an extra register and another staff member for your busy weekend hours during the tourist season.

Delicious mocha latte! Perfectly strong and not too sweet as promised by the barista. Definitely a great spot for lunch since they sell sandwiches as well, with cozy seating. Bonus, there is a connecting boutique as well! The staff is cordial, i did not observe any rude behavior as mentioned by other reviewers.

This is a great local place for great coffee, quick sandwiches, and bagels. I love love love that the coffee is fair trade organic. The usually have a hazelnut coffee which I also love. I usually get a build-ur-own sandwich as they have tons of great options to choose from. If you order a bagel, they definitely go heavy on the cream cheese which is normally a great thing, but it was kinda like they threw half a block of cream cheese on half the bagel and smooshed it together, so it was hard to eat. My only complaint is that the staff isn’t very friendly. There’s one girl behind the counter that has a RBF every single time I’m there, which is almost every day. The rest of the staff is ok. There’s been several times I’ve been waiting at the counter with no acknowledgement while they carry on personal conversations. Otherwise a very cute place with good food and coffee, so I recommend.

Strong coffee and the answer to finding a quality bagel on the Cape. Great selection of sandwich breads, proteins, and fillings. Heavy handed when it comes to the cream cheese so let them know if you only want a smear.

We came here after biking on the trail. It’s a wonderful café near the Ocean Edge. Fresh sandwiches and decent coffee. Great options for vegetarians too!

Don’t be fooled– these are NOTNY bagels by a long shot. My husband and I are from nj and visiting the cape for a wedding. Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel and the verdict was ‘meh’. Eggs aren’t cooked fresh but are microwaved egg patties that you can find at any fast food place. Bagels are the same as any others outside the ny/tristate area– sad impersonators. Basically you could have gotten the same thing at Panera. That’s fine and all but calling this place a NY bagel shop is an insult to all NY bagel shops. Avoid if you actually know what a NY bagel shop is supposed to be, you’ll be disappointed.

Good service. Nice atmosphere. I ordered a couple breakfast sandwiches and they were very good. Both on bagels which were very fresh. It was a quick visit but it did the trick! Nice place inside as well.

Two stars is generous and only because the house blend coffee was decent! We ordered two bagel breakfast sandwiches. One was ordered toasted dark, please. When that was delivered it was just barely warm. The vegetable offering was just a mix with some stuff thrown in. Came on a wheat bagel instead of sesame as requested and paid for. The Western was not even easily definable by its taste“less”. The bagels are not of a good quality, or maybe just not my taste. Staff was lethargic and not helpful in correcting what was delivered versus what was ordered. And, to top it off, the egg is like microwaved? I would not recommend this place unless you are famished and everything else is closed.

Something is really wrong with the iced tea they serve. I asked for the«black» and it was either very watered down iced coffee or from a mix. It had a nutty taste. I brought it back and asked to try a sip out of a cup and yup, it was a coffee mix or very old iced tea. I asked for their other flavor, a fruity one. They told me it was«out back in a cooler» and about ten minutes later it appeared. Again, it had the same coffee/nutty taste. I think they are brewing their tea in coffee makers or something. It was undrinkable. The bagels were ok. The sandwiches were edible. Good location, but not sure if I’d go back.

I’ve already reviewed the Orleans location, and this one has the exact same menu. I assume the food tastes the same; I know the espresso bomb did(ie, delicious). JoMamas Brewster gets extra credit though for being a way better location. much better parking and a massive indoor space. Rather than the cramped counter-with-a-couple-tables you get at Orleans, Brewster has a big open floor so lines can actually form. There are nice comfy couches as well as a few tables. Highly recommended!
