My family and I absolutely love Mooyah. The burgers, fries, sweet potato fries, & shakes are all great. It’s our favorite place to grab a quick meal in town. The service is also wonderful. The employees work hard to create a welcoming environment.

Second time visiting this establishment. Have to say a big improvement from my first visit but the bottom line is that there are better burger places out there. If you are confined to Ossining then probably a good choice.

I am pleased with their burgers; and I absolutely love the sweet potato fries! I like having the lettuce wrap option, as we have special dietary needs in the family. The selection of toppings is very good. On my visits service has been pleasant and efficient. I’m glad to have Mooyah around.

Just visited with my 2yr old son. What a great addition to the area! The service was great and the food was exactly what I was craving. Awesome burger and fries. The shake absolutely hit the spot. It’s great casual spot to bring the family or team. There was a kids basketball team sitting next to us having a great time. I took note of that for the future.

It’s a lot like 5 Guys, but not quite as good. Still a good burger, and a nice place to sit.

Burgers are ok, wouldn’t say they were the best in any category, definitely other burgers out there you can get that are better As you probably saw in the other reviews, this place is overpriced, and that is correct. I don’t occasionally eat burgers, and I live fairly close to this location(5 minutes drive) but it didn’t really impress me do I haven’t gone back yet I can’t comment on the speed of the service or kitchen since I ordered by phone. Though they said it would be ready in 20 minutes to pick up, and that was on time so it was good But I’m giving 3 stars since the burgers could be better and they have to fix the prices

I took a trip up here from Long Island back in December. Not a bad place. I had the Mooyah burger, which was nice and juicy, bun was good, toppings were good. The sweet potato fries were ok. I wouldn’t drive 40 miles for it again but if I was in the area I’d stop by.

Mooyah burgers is a great alternative to the usual McDonald’s, pizza or subways. This location happens to have a friendly staff and they keep it clean. They have great options, something for everyone. My teenage kids love going there for lunch. And while I don’t necessarily agree with my son, he feels that Mooyah does make one of the best burgers-easily his favorite. They also serve up some very rich and sweet milk shakes. Again for the younger crowd, they love the stuff-for me the shakes are very, very sweet. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality.

Overpriced and just average. Also seemed a bit organized. One guy behind the counter had exceptional customer skills, he was the only do I’d thing about the visit. Other staffers didn’t seem to care about who they were serving. Stay home and save your money.

The burgers are similar to other chains that serve in the same style. The wait however is absurd. We ordered online close to one hour before and when we went they had not even received the order. We then waited for another 20 minutes for the food and told by the manager that it was our fault for not ordering ahead of time. Given the good is average and there are so many excellent options locally, it’s just not worth it.

I’d gotten mixed reports from friends, so thought I’d try Mooyah for a quick burger and shake lunch for myself before dragging the family in. The place was clean and the employees smiled and were friendly. That’s about all the good news. As others have mentioned, the prices seemed a bit high for a standard burger and small shake. The place was quiet and the counter girl quickly took my simple order. The shake was delivered to my table quickly, and I appreciated the table service. However, the vanilla shake was very thick, and not in a good way, like from a high percentage of ice cream. Instead it tasted like a McDonald’s shake, with that strange gelatin-like taste that McDonalds adds to keep the shake from melting on your way home. Then it really got strange. Despite only one or two other customers, they seemed to have completely forgotten my order. I watched in curiosity as six(really) people stood in the kitchen and chatted about the snow outside and occasionally stirred a pile of grilled onions. There was no evidence that they were doing anything to make my simple burger. Finally, I had to ask, and they found the order and made it. There was no evidence that there was any sort of assistant manager or team leader. I applaud them for hiring so many of Ossining’s youth, but they need to have some sort of supervision to keep the place moving. I have no idea how they would handle a busy night. The burger, when it finally arrived, was ok, nothing remarkable, and nowhere near the quality of a Five Guys or Johnny Rockets or just about anywhere else. There doesn’t seem to be any reason to go back. If the general manager or owner is reading this, get a real butt-kicking manager onto the floor and get people to work. Otherwise I give the place six months, max.

This place is great is you want to wait 40 minutes for an overpriced greasy burger and flavorless fries. They have an open kitchen like 5 Guys but the comparisons end there. They are horribly inefficient and slow and the open kitchen allows you to see the cashier touch money, his nose, his hair and food with the same set of gloves as well as other sanitation issues and how inefficient they are. The burgers are frozen so the«homemade patty» look isn’t very convincing. There’s a weird aftertaste for both the burgers and fries like the oil was dirty. Go to Carvel for your shake and don’t patronize this horrible place.

I was hoping this would be great. Maybe it will be better on my 3rd try. The burgers are decent, but waaaaay to greasy. This place is a bit over priced for not being that good. If the food is great, I don’t mind paying more, but don’t care for paying premium prices for ok food.

Terrible burgers and overpriced. Burgers are dry and over cooked. I also try the Vanilla milkshake and sweet potato French fries which was good.

The burger was good, the fries were great… but the compliments end there. This place is a tad overpriced, the service is slow(a problem, considering when I walked in it wasn’t busy, and there were legit TEN employees working the grill and kitchen), and half of the employees, who were all teenage boys, seemed to be goofing off. I guess this explains why the«Mooyah sauce» that was supposed to be on my burger was replaced by ketchup, a condiment I truly despise. Finally, the manager/cashier. This miniature man, straight out of the 1980s and/or some Christmas fairy tale, was just plain smug, as he responded to my request for a minor modification of an order(sub raw onions for grilled) simply with a thumbs up and zero eye contact(and no, he was not Asian, so it wasn’t a cultural thing). And to boot, he didn’t make a note of this so I still got the damn grilled onions, as my receipt(which I unfortunately didn’t see until I got home) showed no evidence of said request. This place has potential, but obviously has a lot of growing up to do, pun intended.

So I was able to get my burger fix finally, even after what seemed like a painstaking process to do so. I’m not usually cynical but this place just put me into a bad mood. Could it have been the overly chipper cashier who had WAYY to much energy and was talking to herself the entire time? And then proceeded to take far too long, chatting with her friends at the register, when they came into order. Perhaps. Or was it that they forgot to give me the drink I paid for so I had to go back into the line and seem like an ass cutting it, just to politely request a cup? Or that I was told they would accept the coupon [I finally was able to load,] ‘this time’ but that it had to be printed out for future reference. Now, idk about you but in the modern era of cell phones owned by every toddler and fetus, who prints things anymore?! I did see the option to print the coup when I saw it in my email, but it didn’t say MUSTPRINTOUT on it, so duh, I assume its your choice. Whatever. I ordered the black bean ‘iceburger’ that comes wrapped in lettuce, instead of on a bun, a regular drink and small sweet potato fries; with cheddar, French fried onions and mushrooms on the burger. I forgot to request sauces(wasn’t reminded to either) and there was one sad shroom to be found. In all, it did taste good, no lie there. The fries were Bangingggg, the black bean had great flavor too. It just sucked that in the end, the price of over $ 12(without coup) was kinda steep. I can go to the diner for cheaper than that, plus I didn’t have many upgrades. Cheese was a friggin dollar for every slice, bacon and avo another $ 1 and change each. I would come again if someone else was in the mood to check it out, but the irritating overall experience and price is throwing me way off son.

We went on opening night, and it was absolutely packed. Happened to drive by again last night(Friday) and it was mobbed then as well. It is very similar to Smash Burger, and the fries are somewhat like Five Guys. I had a burger, a shake, and some fries and everything was great! The staff was very attentive too. We ordered our food to stay, and at least three different people asked if we needed anything as they passed by our table. As we were leaving the manager/owner asked us how long we waited on line, how long it took to get our food, etc. Jut trying to feel out how our experience was, which was nice. Definitely a good addition to the area! (They also have Tabasco sauce, which was exciting to me. Lol).

Mooyah is a welcome addition to the area! It is very similar to the Habit Burger, SmashBurger, and Shake Shack model. Three choices of outerwear for your burger. You can have it either white bread, multigrain wheat or wrapped in lettuce. The middlewear choices are beef, turkey, black bean veggie or hot dog. I went with a double burger and it was messy. The burger was greasy and sliding out from my freshly baked artisan white bun. There is an ample selection of cheeses and a wide variety of free sauces and toppings. There are additional charges for adding bacon and/or avocado. The french fries were fresh cut and hot. They arrived splattered on my tray next to the burger. The order size seen in my photo is small. Mooyah also has shakes and salads. It is a better choice than McDonalds or Wendys. I look forward to returning and trying some other combinations.
