Valery Joseph Salons

I stepped into the Valery Joseph salon in Bridgehampton to ask about getting a very quick, dry trim (or a «dusting» as some stylists call it). No wash, no blow dry, just a dry trim that takes about 4 – 5 minutes. I’ve done this at some very high end salons in Manhattan and Long Island (because my hair is all one length and very easy to trim) and am typically asked to pay about $ 35, sometimes up to $ 50. At Valery Joseph in Bridgehampton, a stylist said he could take me right away, sat me in the chair and completed the dusting. A woman who then claimed she was the owner charged me $ 260 — the price of a full haircut and blow-​dry and told me there was absolutely nothing she could do to give me a lower price for the lower tier of service I had. I thought this was completely abominable and the owner should be ashamed of herself for trying to completely rip people off. I’d like to get the word out about this salon so that other potential customers are warned.

Went to Valery Joseph for a mani /​pedi and it is pouring out and they wanted me to sit outside under an awning where the rain would have onto~Champagne prices with a beer setting, would never go back. Pedicure was terrible and the girls hardly spoke English– another rip-​off
