This place has excellent Vietnamese food! Their phở is delicious and has a very«clean» taste. The staff is attentive and services is fast. Highly recommended for authentic viet food

The space here looks super shady and isn’t the cleanest; my cousin found a dead fly in his lemonade tea… he told a waitress about it and she said they would check it out. We assumed that meant he’d get a replacement drink… instead, he found a dead fly in it once again… either this place packs their lemonade tea with extra protein every time orr… they just didn’t bother to do anything about it. I ordered a lemonade tea as well and it was super super sweet which I didn’t like. My mother and aunt bought their own water bottles from home and we were mistakenly charged for them, which was fine since they took it off our bill after we addressed it. The banh Cuon dac biet wasn’t at all special in any way, even though dac biet means special. The rolls were super thick and didn’t taste fresh and also, the cha hue was really miniscule.

The food here is delicious! The ones I’ve tried so far is the Phở, seafood wonton egg noodle soup, rice with pork, and spring rolls(or some call it summer rolls). All were yummy. Don’t be afraid to order bubble tea/smoothies! This is a friendly family business restaurant. My go-to viet restaurant in Bridgeport

So FLAVORFUL. Love the choices on the menu, wasn’t too generic. Choices were very authentic. Staff is friendly. I ordered the fresh spring rolls… I love that there were 4rolls per order. They were just ok though. Peanut sauce that came with it tasted a little watered down. Then the Banh bo hue(red looking soup with lemon grass) broth was DELICIOUS! Noodles were on point and the meat was tender. Overall I was satisfied. I would come back. Thanks phở Hong thom!

Huge fan!!! so authentic and cures what ails ya!!! my 5 year old loves it. staff is so friendly compared to other places. when ordering spring rolls, the waitress brought out a special peanut sauce without the sriracha in it just for my son.

This restaurant is not bad and the staff are very friendly. Seems like it’s family owned and the family running it is nice. I’m from the West Coast and still prefer the phở near my hometown, but the broth was still consistent and pretty good. When our order’s noodles were undercooked, the waiter was happy to provide us with a new bowl of noodles. Very friendly.

This family owned restaurant delivers a consistent good phở broth. If you are in the mood to satisfy your phở craving, this is the place you should go to in Fairfield County. In addition, the noodle(bun) dish, Bun Thit Nuong Cha Goi Tom Trung, is quite satisfying. It contains grilled meat and shrimp, noodles, vegetables, rolls, and a fried egg. One bowl of deliciousness. The menu offerings are limited compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants, however, they execute the phở, goi cuon, and bun dishes well. Sauces and condiments are available on the table as with most Vietnamese establishments. Phở choices are loaded with meat and the usual accompaniments are provided… culantro(saw grass), bean sprouts, Thai Basil, and Jalapeños. Often I request half the amount of noodles due to rarely finishing the normal portion provided. I generally add a few drops of fish sauce into my broth for an extra depth of flavor. Goi Cuon is freshly rolled and not prepared in advance. Therefore, the rice paper remains soft. There are 4 rolls per order and they are generous with the size and amount of fillings. Definitely an appetizer for sharing. Cha Gio could use a face lift. I find the rolls are often dry or overcooked. Furthermore, I’m use to having the appetizer with a variety of greens and herbs to roll them in. This is not how it is plated here. Minimal green leaf is provided. Bubble tea is available with bursting bubbles or jelly. I prefer the chewy tapioca bubbles so I usually order an avocado smoothie with jelly. I am disappointed that the bahn mi is removed from the menu. Hopefully, this item will return. This use to be one of the only places to obtain this delicious sandwich in the area. Overall, go to this place for phở, bun, and goi cuon. You will not find a better choice in southern ct.

Very friendly! The interior looks uninspired and unexciting. The food was tasteful. I had the Com suon and I enjoyed it, it’s not your typical kind with the T bone meat, this one is sliced very thin but it was delicious. We also tried the Bun bo hue, and it lacked a little bit in flavor but was good. Also it doesn’t have that meat with the fat.

Had lunch at this place last weekend, food was great. Best phở I’ve had so far. Not too salty as other places i tried and the phở is flavorful!!! Definitely would come back for more and try the rest of the menu

Best phở I’ve had in Chicago or Connecticut and right up there with NYC. Seafood and Spicy Beef are go-to. Need to try the bahn mi… But I always go here at the first onset of a cold!

Tiny little restaurant in Bridgeport. There are a number of places to get Phở in the area, but Phở Hong Thom does a great job. I would definitely recommend their Phở. I had also tried their spring rolls but they were a bit burnt. Service was quick and staff is very nice. You also need to cautious, only street parking in the area. The neighborhood is not the greatest. Probably better for take out.

Great and flavorful phở. We had the following: Phở Tai Bo Vien. Light and flavorful broth. Great portions. Goi Cuon. Very fresh and crisp vegetables. Shrimp had a great flavor Bun Bo Hue. Not as robust in terms of meats and noodles but the best I have tasted in this area. Prices are very reasonable. The person running the place, «T». Yes hats his name. Was also really great.

A must visit! First time in the area, used the recommendation of my fellow Unilocalers to find this gem. The phở was flavorful and the best so far since moving from the Chicago Northwest suburbs. Shrimp roll was excellent and highly recommend to savor the peanut sauce. Excellent! Wish there was a pork dumpling or a non-chicken appetizer roll aside from the shrimp for my chicken allergy companion hence 4 instead of 5 stars. Definitely would visit again!

I’ve only had Vietnamese food a few times, but this was definitely the best. All 3 dishes we had were amazing. The Phở shrimp & veggies was wonderful, the soup with egg noodles was amazing and the rice noodles with pork, cucumber & shrimp was perfect. This place is a «must visit». Super friendly service.

I love it! Best Vietnamese food ever! I ordered number 10. Noodles with a fried egg and shrimp. Substituted the pork with chicken. Very big portions and delicious!

The service lacked a bit, my appetizer was served after the meal and the drink came after the meal, but the food itself was great. I will say this though… I asked to use the restroom after eating and was directed through the kitchen into their ONLY restroom. The restroom was clean; however, I did notice that there was no sink in the restroom. Where do the employees wash their hands after using the restroom, if they wash them at all? The kitchen sink? No Bueno! I will not return to this establishment.

This is a great and very traditional vitamense restaurant. Their phở is so delicious. The broth itself is savory with a subtle beefiness to it. The noodles were not soft at all and the beef was sliced paper thin and was incredibly tender. They give you a side of jalapeños, limes, lots of bean sprouts and fresh basil. I only added a little sriracha and lime to the broth bc I didn’t want to take away too much from the flavor so, with that little tweak I tossed in crunchy sprouts and fresh basil and the phở came together. It was so aromatic, downright tasty and damn comforting! You bet I ingested it like air and slurped away to the last bite :) Their other dishes like the summer rolls, spring rolls are on point and their pork is sweet and savory and tender. My only complaint is it’s a 25mins drive from me and in a not so good neighborhood but, that won’t stop me from coming here!

Good. Fast, big portions, meat a little iffy — chicken with skin in soups– mostly dark meat. Pork fatty and weird cut but then again that’s cultural. Everything seasoned well.

OMG — this place is amazing! We have been here a few times and have not yet been disappointed with the soup noodles! We had tried: — Special Beef Phở — Spicy Beef Phở — Rare beef and beef balls Phở — mi ga(Chicken soup) with egg noodles — mi ga(chicken soup) with rice noodles — banh cuon — young chow fried rice — Spring roll with vermicelli — lemon honey drink — Vietnamese ice coffee The noodle soups are amazing! Can’t go wrong with those ones! But the Mi ga with egg noodles were really really good! Stay away from the fried rice — it was dry and not very flavourful. The drinks were great! The banh cuon is the best I’ve had around here — but I’ve had better in Toronto: P

Much better than the Phở place next door(Phở Saigon), we used to be regulars at said establishment but after several years of experiencing what seem to be a major decline in service, atmosphere, cleanliness, and overall portion of food, we collectively decided that Phở Hong Thom is definitely the better choice out of the two. Family owned restaurant. Mother/Father cook in the back while the two sons(and significant others) wait in the front. Portions are large, taste is very authentic(Phở broth has a richer taste), and service is friendly and relaxed. If you’re looking for an upscale Viet restaurant, this is definitely not the place for you. We’re in Bridgeport here, you get what see. Yes, it’s a hole in the wall, but most of the time, these places are better than those over priced places you see in Bön Appetite Magazine. Worth a try.
