Great food. Horrible atmosphere. Dirty and the service here is okay. This is a cheap place to get some Vietnamese food and split a Phở.

Avergae vietnamese. The spice level was lacking for me. Nothing special with the ambiance. Go to Can Tan for superior food.

I always say im gonna try somethn new and i end up with phở soup. The classic number one or the beef and beef ball soup. Add veggies. Simple. Delicious. Omg. Food/soup. If i feel the need I’ll order the vegetarian spring rolls or summer rolls. Had the crêpe thing — it was good. They serve bubbletea for like 2 $. Good. Simple. The space is small but most times crowded because its a hole in the wall phở place that is no frills and run by a bunch of woman who are hit and miss with english. But thats the charm. The tables have this basket of goodies. Condiments like chili paste and hoison sauce with mini ladels(their soup spoons for the broth) and chopsticks. Not into soup? They have fried rice dishes and porkchop(?)… have i tried it? Nope. Smells and looks good but maybe one day… maybe… possibly…

My friends wanted to go here and I have always wanted to try Vietnamese food. But… I later found out that they use fish sauce in most of the food and I felt reluctant to go but ended up giving in and going in with an open mind. I really don’t like fish of any sort let alone stinky fish sauce. We got there about 7pm and it was pretty dead but soon after the place was full. It’s located on the first floor of a two family home. We started with spring rolls and a dipping sauce, they went quickly. I ordered a chicken stir fry with vegetables. It reminded me of comfort food, not highly spiced but good. I wish it had a bit more spice though. There was all kinds of condiments on the table but nothing that really care for, I am not that adventurous. I did not taste any fish sauce and did not know if any was used in the dish. I’d like to go back and also noticed on the next block up was another Vietnamese place that I wouldn’t mind trying.

Not only was this place small and overcrowded, but dirty. Floors looked like they have not been mopped for weeks, paint was chipping and utensils looked dirty. Then when my phở was served, there was a cockroach in my soup. It was absolutely DISGUSTING!!! Never coming here again. I wish I could’ve given no stars!

Whenever I don’t feel like cooking, this is a go to place. Its super quick and always open it seems! It’s certainly a no-frills place, so come in knowing you may not get the princess treatment you may find in other similar restaurants in the Fairfield area. But having said that, this place is consistent, reliable and pretty gosh darn yummy. The portion are huge, so come in hungry! I’ve had just about everything on the menu, from the vegetarian dishes to the beef dishes. The beef phở definitely is the most delicious of all the options. It’s also really easy to over do it, being that the prices are so affordable you really just want to eat it all. The entire place is very traditional, including the sauces available at the table and the style in which the utensils are presented. If you go to other smaller, casual phở places in the city and Philly this is all pretty standard. Another positive observation is that I’m almost always the only white person in there(and I’m only half!) so as my dad says, where there are other Asians eating there, you know it’s good! It also seems like its family owned and operated, so you really are getting someone’s mom cooking your meal each time.

I could eat here everyday. I love the soup #1 and beef cubes #18. The owners and staff are great too.

Service was very poor initially. The lady didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink. We had to get her attention to ask for water. The place was a little crowded. It’s a bit dicey, very casual and not in the best area(according to my friend). We ordered summer rolls, my friend got the pork and shrimp noodle soup and I got the seafood combo. We also ordered the vegetarian fried rice. Our noodle soups were very good. I put the chili oil in mine and it made it very spicey. The summer rolls were very fresh, however it also had tuna in it, which I’ve never had before — not really authentic, but it was good. The fried rice was different, but good. Very reasonable prices, the service improved later on as we dealt with personable and friendly staff after we were done with our meals They were not attentive or efficient with clearing bowls and plates off tables. If service was better, this placs would be 5 stars. Go if you’re craving delicious Vietnamese food!

We recently moved from Atlanta and encountered this place on Unilocal when searching for some good phở places. I wanted my brother visiting from UK to try phở and want his first experience to be his best. We ordered # 10, 12 and 26 in the menu. I was skeptical about the chicken in clear soup which tasted pretty good for the clear broth, the Beef phở needs a bit more seasoning. The showstopper was the Sauteed chicken in Fried noodles as the fried noodles gave the sauté the perfect crunch. Its definitely not a goto place for me for phở but would go if I am in the neighborhood and in the mood for Phở.

The food at Phở Siagon is authentic and tasty. I had the rare beef phở and spring rolls. The spring rolls were amazing. The rare beef phở was prepared with very fresh vegetables, the meat was ok, the broth was perfect– not too salty and just the right temp. The little Vietnamese woman who took out order did not understand English very well– but she makes it work, and very sweet. Not the best phở I have ever had, def not the worst. The place did get a large crowd, so it seems popular in the area. It’s a safe bet.

NOTGREAT, BUTNOTBADEITHER! This location offers a variety of soups, rice, fried and vegetarian dishes along with appetizers. For the appetizer we chose #‘s 34(Fresh Summer Roll) and 35(Crispy Fried Spring Rolls), $ 7 each. The summer roll comes with a peanut sauce that compliments the fresh combination of flavors. The spring rolls come with their version of duck sauce. The rolls are small and lack flavor on their own. You’ll need to dip in order to fully enjoy… NODOUBLEDIPPING. For our main course we opted for #‘s 11(Beef Stew) $ 7 and 44(Vegetarian) $ 6, but for some reason they charged me $ 7. It’s not worth an argument over a dollar, I just adjusted the tip. The broth for both were a bit bland and needed a little help in the spice department. The portions were more than enough to share if need be. They didn’t say WOW, but will warm the belly on a cold day. The main issue we had was that the spoons and chopsticks are already on the table which allows whoever was there before you to touch them with their dirty hands… YUCK! You know where your hands have been. Imagine the guy or gal before you scratching themselves, picking up the chopsticks, then tossing them back… DID I SAYYUCK!!! With that being said, bring a spoon and your own chopsticks and you’ll enjoy it more than I did. HAPPY PHOing

Came here after attempting to go to another restaurant down the road that was unfortunately closed for vacation. It was pretty busy for a rainy Sunday night, a good sign. You can sit anywhere and drinks are served out of a fridge in the middle of the place. The waitress took our order fairly quickly, although it took a while to get the check at the end of the night. My boyfriend and I ordered a #1(classic phở), a #31(rice noodles w shrimp, chicken and fried spring rolls w peanuts on top) a #36(Vietnamese pancake filled w shrimp, pork and sprouts) and a strawberry bubble tea. I ended up hogging the phở which was good. It had more then enough noodles, although the beef wasn’t the best quality. Could have used salt or something too. The other dishes were good as well. The rice noodle dish definitely needed some sauce, but each table has a number of sauce toppings. Here’s a break down of the pros/cons: Pro: Large portions(perfect for sharing) Food is good Cons: Service is spotty Utensils are served out of a container on the table, doesn’t seem very sanitary.

The place is a bit off the beaten path and I drove by it once looking for it. Sits on the corner with a yellow sign. Looks a little tired from outside. While NOTHING fancy the food was simply top notch. Three huge spring rolls all made fresh. The Phở Ga was stuffed with chicken and rice noodles. Not to salty either. Shortly after noon the crowds came in as well, clearly a lot of local repeat business. I realize one goes to a Phở Restaurant not for five star service. Service was prompt and with a smile. I only ate one spring roll, they boxed the other two up for me. I forgot them but the waitress chased after me across the street to give them to me.

Yummy Get the #31 or #1 or basically anything on the menu. My absolutely favorite place for phở in Fairfield County. Oh and did I mention it’s not going to hurt your wallet?

Can’t believe this kind of place can exist outside Village. People are nice and friendly. For some reason Vietnamese is not a popular cuisine in SWCT. Pros: Enough parking Value for money Nice people Easy to get to No frills just great food Con’s: Location can be scary at night You might have to wait for a bit to get the seating. But it’s worth it, if you are around give it a try you won’t go wrong with their Phở.

This review is strictly on the phở. The service is what I call amusing and down to earth– don’t expect to be waited on hand and foot at all. Feel free to dig in the Asian culture by seating yourself, grabbing your own menu, grabbing drinks from the fridge and peeking through the window to the kitchen to wave down the server. Otherwise, the phở is awesome. I’ve ate at phở places multiple times in NYC, FL, CT and Canada, and my favorite place in the states is Phở Saigon. I even tried a vietnamese place nearby because of the good reviews but the broth doesn’t cut it like Phở Saigon’s. Here, you can skip the hoisin sauce and whatever extra you like to add to your phở because the broth is good as is. Yes, the quality of the meat can be better but the broth is what makes the phở. It’s always consistently good and I always leave satisfied. I also like getting the summer rolls– for $ 7.00, you get 3 huge ones. They know how to do it right. I’m always tempted to get other food while I’m there but considering I don’t live in the area anymore, it’s so hard to stray away from the house special. Enjoy a bowl for me!
