Yummy, trendy, hip and happening. It’s totally kid friendly. Prices are reasonable. The phở is delish. My kiddos love the ramen. My husband loves the firecracker wings.

Best phở ga in Fairfield and the atmosphere is just great! The staff is so nice and always know what to recommend if you’re new, if you’re interested in trying new things and of course if you’re a returning customer. Their bubble teas are the best :)

So my review is probably biased because I went here very shortly after eating at a ramen place in San Francisco, but I didn’t love Mecha! The service was fine, waited about 10 minutes for a table with a party of 4. But the food was just meh. I had the pork belly ramen with miso broth. The pork belly wasn’t tender or as flavorful as I was hoping. Maybe I’ll try it again because I would love to have good ramen around here!

Nice little gem in CT! We enjoyed the ramen and the KFC pork buns and a bubble tea. It’s an airy space with the doors open on a gorgeous day. The décor was simple but had a nice flow from the floors to the cool wood ceiling. Will def be back again sooooooon!

Updating because yes it’s expensive but it is delicious. Been to both locations now. Still like the ffld one better. The service is a lot friendlier plus it has the patio seating. And also upon rereading my review it was a bit harsh… But honest!

My favorite place for ramen in Connecticut, I’ve yet to sample something from the menu I haven’t enjoyed. The mushroom dumplings with a miso brown butter sauce are my favorite appetizer and I often find myself trying to scrape up every last bit of the sauce from my plate. I’m fond of the paitan chicken ramen with the addition of some chili oil. I don’t like things two spicy, so getting one small bowl of the chilli oil is enough to share. Mecha will let you mix and match soups and noodles, so you can get just the ramen you’d like.

Good food(although the Phở is overpriced). The only reason for the 3 stars is poor/awkward service. The last two times my husband and I were here the manager was clearly having a disagreement with waitstaff and it made us feel pretty awkward. The KFC steamed bun is delicious. I like the Fairfield location better than the Norwalk location. It’s a little more cozy. But don’t come here during Friday or Saturday night. It gets packed and uncomfortable.

Wonderful ramen and phở! I had the phở shizzle, and it lived up to its name! The KFC bao was delicious. I like that the kitchen is open. If you sit at the bar, you have a nice view of the chefs preparing the food. The only negative is that the seating arrangement at Mecha is a bit tight and if it’s crowded, it may be harder to hear. Also, depending on where you are seated, your chair may not have a back. I noticed that they have some great happy hour specials from 3 – 6. I’m looking forward to checking that out soon.

The food is delicious fresh and has a lot of flavor. Very respectable portions too. The place is tight but somehow they really make it work and it comes off as more of a community atmosphere. Employees are attentive and quick without being pushy at all. Can’t wait to come back to try something else.

It was my first time eating ramen, and I guess ramen was not for my liking. We ordered pork belly, tonkotsu, paitan chicken and thai tea panna cotta lemon mascarpone salted oreos. First, we had the pork belly. My husband and I love pork belly but the pork belly they served us were all fats. I had to stopped eating and removed all the pork belly and just eat the bun and vegetables. I had tonkotsu. I was excited trying ramen for the first time. But I guess ramen is not for me. I did not like it at all. After eating tonkotsu, I was not at all satisfied, unlike when I eat phở I always feel satisfied, but ramen was not satisfying for me. My husband had the paitan chicken. Same as me, he did not like it also. Since we both was not satisfied with the pork belly and ramen that we ordered, we ordered thai tea panna cotta lemon mascarpone salted oreos. This dessert was really good. The touch of mint makes it more refreshing.

We LOVE Mecha. I frequent here about once a month(particularly on those hangover days) and have never had a bad experience. I love the Phở Thai so much I have yet to order something different. The phở is fun to eat and they give you different sauces and toppings to customize this hot bowl of deliciousness. And if you cant finish your phở and want it to go, they separate the noodles from the broth so they dont get soggy! The only complaint I would have is that there is limited seating. But it’s worth the wait!

I ate here on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away. I knew I had to order a dish with noodles… That IS what they are known for. I went with the tonkotsu ramen(pork). It was very good, as expected and was a generous amount. My friend ordered the firecracker chicken and that was definitely the stand out for me. It was perfectly seasoned and crisp. I would honestly come back just for those! I also tried two varieties of their bubble tea. Both were a bit tart but also sweet and pretty tasty. The food overall was very good. The service was a bit lacking. I asked twice for a straw for my water and the waiter just seemed uninterested and preoccupied. I ended up having to ask someone else for a straw. And shortly after we ate, there was a really foul mildew-like smell in the place. At first I thought it was the people sitting next to us.(I don’t like the communal seating but the décor of the place is very chic.) Then we got up to pay our bill and noticed the smell was coming from the cooking area. I have no idea what that was, but I for sure wouldn’t want to eat it.

This place was excellent! I don’t love ramen or soups so I was unsure if I was going to like it. I got the ramen noodles and they were some of the best I’ve had. The drinks were great, and the service was friendly. I will be going back again!

Mmmm some good ramen can be found here. This is probably the only place I’d come for ramen. And it is an hour from where I live. I’ve been here a couple times now and the go to menu items are the KFC bao(sauce on the side) and the tonkotsu with added extra ingredients. The broth is amazing and I probably refill my bowl once or twice with extra noodles since I’m a healthy eating guy. The pork is so tender and flavorful in it. KFC is a must try for anyone, it is so simple yet so good! It can get messy though if you don’t get the sauce on the side. Only downside to this place is the odd interior design. Owner: «Give me something different yet asian inspired.» Designer: «Sure! How about instead of lining your wall with bamboo, I line it with 2x4s!?» Owner: «YES!» Also another thing I don’t really like is the seating arrangements. It’s whatever though, that won’t stop me from coming to eat some delicious ramen!

Mecha is our favorite ‘go to’ spot in Fairfield. We consistently have great meals. It may not be for everyone though. There is one long table down the middle and if you are a party of 2, you’ll likely be plopped net to other people in close proximity. We don’t mind it, we slurp away happily and make sure not to speak too loud. There is often a wait. We happen not to go there at typical peak times and it works out fine. If you are looking for good Phở or Ramen, I highly recommend!

Literally some of the best phở you can get in Fairfield county. If you want a clean, «mom and pop» type restaurant, don’t hesitate to come here. Some DELECTABLE phở, beautiful setting, wonderful service. 10⁄10. Edit: Also a incredible soundtrack. Bumpin Beyoncé and squeezing Hoison sauce.

Went on a rainy Sunday with a couple friends and a sleeping baby in tow. The wait was about 20 minutes and the front area can be a bit cramped. It’s not like you can«wait in the bar» because it’s all the same space. Some people turned around and left… don’t… that’s your first mistake. Just wait. It’s worth it. Those rice cake/pork/ridiculousness… is worth it. Seriously, sometimes I think to myself, I can dupe this at home. I can make it better. I can’t make this better. It’s perfection. Soft pork, ginger, crispy yet chewy rice cakes and an insane sauce. It’s just so good. I had the ramen this time instead of the Phở, I mean, I think it’s very good Ramen but I just don’t think I’m a ramen girl. I’ll stick to the phở next time, OR just order a ton of apps and drink a lot of beer. It’s that type of spot on a rainy afternoon.

I sat at «bar»(really long island in front of the cooks) … It amazed me how fast these two cooks were turning around orders. When you go to a restaurant you barely get to see the«behind the scenes». This place is always packed– and the food is worth the wait! The waiters/waitresses are nice enough… But the cooks steal the show! I saw a few things come out that I must try next time! –A forever customer!

My second time dining here. My first experience actually made me a lil apprehensive trying it out again and here’s why, — tonkotsu ramen: noodles were soft, broth was salty and egg was hard boiled and well! — pork belly bao: meh, it was alright. I didn’t like the combination of the pork belly fat and sticky bao every bite I took I felt like a dog licking peanut butter — KFC bao: chicken was fried right, crispy and very juicy. I loved the pickled veggies paired w/the chicken and bao. So, on a whim decided to come back a second time and we only ordered the KFC bao and tonkotsu ramen(w/sweet corn). Bao was just as delicious and as for the ramen it was like eating a whole new dish. This ramen was not salty at all. I was able to actually taste the broth, it had flavors from the pork belly, the chard sweet corn, garlic and hot chili oil. The texture was rich and creamy. Noodles were cooked to perfection and my egg was still not poached but, it wasn’t cooked well this time. I give this restaurant a 4 bc it lacks consistency w/the food and service but, prices are reasonable.

Mecha is a breath of fresh air in a sea of mostly standard American food restaurants in this area. I didn’t find much Asian food in Fairfield, and when I read some reviews that said the ramen here was comparable to New York’s, I definitely wanted to try. I’ve been here twice and tried the KFC bao, red oil dumplings, tonkatsu ramen, and paitan ramen. — KFC bao was just alright for me. Price didn’t really justify the food in my opinion, but it added good variety to our meal. Chicken was crispy and pickled daikon/carrots were refreshing — Red oil dumplings were very plump and juicy! Not like any other red oil dumplings I’ve had in the past. These were PACKED with meat and flavor. I’d say medium spicy level –Tonkatsu ramen & paitan ramen were both 3 stars. The meat was nice and fatty(but not too much), but it didn’t WOW me. I did enjoy the whole bowl though and was satisfied at the end of the meal. With this being the only ramen joint in the area, yes I would come back! It gets the job done and you leave with a full and happy belly
