This is by far the best Mediterranean restaurant ive been to. Amazing food! Plus an outdoor Heated hookah patio!

Go for the food and try not to let the bad service scare you. We couldn’t get napkins, water, or bread unless I asked and even then it didn’t all come until I asked again! Our dish was served to the table next to us by mistake. The lamb briyani was delicious but they also forgot the cucumber sauce. The kufta was also good. It shows that the 2 ladies that work there hate thier jobs.

NEVERAGAIN! My first visit here was only bearable thanks to the food tasting amazing. I returned with my sister for our Christmas meal, and the service was beyond horrible. The server was completely neglectful, people that were seated after us got their food before we even got our appetizer. It took 30 minutes to get one part of our order brought to us. The server wasn’t apologetic or even courteous. She’s by far the worst, and it’s for horrendous service that I do not intend to return to this place.

I wish I can give lower than a 1 star. The customer service is horrendous. This is my 6th time at this place I usually just order to pick up. I decided to eat there today(eating in btw has always been a bad experience but we got there before noon there was no one there) so when we walked in, no one was there to greet us. We looked around saw the waitress and she just looked up at us, we said hello to her but she didn’t come by to to greet/seat us. We seated ourselves. After we sat down the waitress put menus on our table and left without saying anything to us once again. At this point WE felt like we were being an inconvenience for choosing to have lunch there(we knew what we wanted btw) we proceeded to wait for her to come back. We waited for 15 minutes, then we tried to flag her down. She made eye contact and didn’t acknowledge, kept doing what she was doing so we got up and left. THEREWASNOOTHERCUSTOMERSTHERE! She could have said something to us! Bottom line is they have horrible service! The food is mediocre but it’s close to where I live to where once in awhile I’ll eat there. If she was friendlier and acknowledged us I think we would have stayed. The fact that we were ignored and no one said a word… well it was pretty awkward. My last experience at Village Garden was when I ordered ahead something simple, I ordered a burger. They said 15 min. I got there and waited an 1hr. I think after today’s experience I’m never going back. I keep giving chances but it’s just always a bad experience. Also there are better middle eastern restaurants in the neighborhood anyways with way better customer service. I never write reviews and in fact I had such a bad experience that I felt I had to join Unilocal to share this :(.

This place is fantastic. The service was not very friendly; she wasn’t rude or anything just not friendly lol. But we still had a great experience. Everything is made fresh to order so it takes a little bit to get your food which I actually prefer. I hate being rushed through dinner. The restaurant is sparkly clean and pretty. Now the food; the food is FANTASTIC. The naan was amazing, the hummus was delicious. Loved the grape leaves and samosas. The falafel was fresh and flavorful. Our entrees were also good but a tad over salted. I got the choula which is chick peas and my friend got butter chicken, the other one got a tabouleh salad which was the best entrée of them all and the other was frontera chicken. The frontera chicken was our least favorite of them all. Even the plain rice was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants, and has been my favorite this summer, making me drive frequently from downtown Chicago. Low priced big size meals, which nobody has been able to finish. Delicious sandwiches, and I recommend the chicken kebab sandwich. The outside patio for hooka is well ventilated. Highly recommended.

We had a nice dinner here. I think it will be my go-to spot for Mediterranean now. Flavors were good, as was the service.

Went to the buffet The food is a mix middle eastern, Pakistani and American. The taste is good, there was only small tray of desert hard to see on the side of the cashier. Environment was good. My problem was the service they showed us the table and that’s it never seen them again, though they walk around but they don’t pick up a plate, it is OK it is a buffet but to put a 15% gratuity for no service that was very inappropriate.

They make everything fresh after you order it — be prepared to wait but. .. that wait is definitely worth it! They give a complimentary platter of three things — spicy veggies, hummus and cukes with chopped tomatoes and mint, along with their home made naan. Try not to fill up on this — cause your food is coming and — there will be tons! Greats sammies, incredible rice, flavorful veggies — oh my! Delish.

The food and proportions were good, but the owner/management(Pakistani gentleman/Mr. Chaudry) was rude beyond belief, kept raising his voice in front of all my guests and put a damper on my dinner outing. We ordered the platter($ 75) + 3 additional guests(3 * $ 12). The total should have been around $ 111 but he was adamant on charging us $ 150 indicating that he had prepped two platters for us, as that is what he claims we ordered. Every other sentence that came out of his mouth, «how can I make you happy» and«I will put the $ 20 from my own pocket for you». His claim is that the difference between what he charged us and what we ordered was only $ 20. First off, I’m not a businessman but the difference between what we ordered and what he charged me was not $ 20. The additional charge was not an issue, but it was his tone and his arrogance that set the whole event apart. Furthermore, he had the audacity to tell me that my table has more than 8 guests. I had 8 adults and 5 kids under 5 yrs of age, where I had already ordered kids meals for them, plus 2 large appetizers to hold us off until they prepped the food as they had indicated it would take them ~40 minutes to bring our main course out. Dear Mr. owner, I may not be business savvy as you, but you CANNOT base your business model in overcharging people, embarrassing your customers in front of their guests and having a arrogant attitude with your customers. We will not return to this establishment, thank you very much.

We’ve been meaning to find a good Indian and Middle Eastern restaurant for months. Well, my girlfriend had been meaning to find one. I wasn’t too hot on trying it. Soooo, in the interest of diplomacy, I Unilocaled it. Judging the book by its cover, Village Garden looks like a pancacke house from outside the front door. When you enter though, the place seems expansive, with a buffet, bar, and outdoor hookah area, all decorated ornately. Except when we did, not another soul was eating there. Apparently there isn’t that big of a lunch crowd on a Monday morning. It took someone a while to notice we were there. And the service isn’t that fast after. The man whom I believe to be the owner, asked if we needed anything and was very pleasant. He explained that the food is all made fresh from scratch, and that’s why it takes longer than normal. No matter, they kept us supplied with plenty of Naan and humus. We were content. But the main courses… wow. The butter chicken was out of this world. The perfect mix of creaminess and spiciness. My girlfriend had Aloo Qeema and could not stop talkkng about it, or the place in general afterwards. It was cheap too. For all that we got, we barely spent $ 30. So she… I mean WE, found the just the place we were looking for. And better yet, it’s inexpensive and close to home.

We came on a coupon and happy we did — the food was fresh and delicious– it’s a nice blend of Pakistan/Arabian. We will be back.

I really like going to village garden because it’s a Pakistani restaurant that is close to home, most of the Pakistani-Indian restaurants are a good drive out from Bridgeview. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. I service was a little slow and the food was decent. I ordered the chicken biryani and it was a good dish of rice but it did not taste like authentic Indian-Pakistani biryani. The appetizer served was also good, but I only liked the humous, the salsa and salad didn’t mix too well with the naan. I would recommend going to village garden but not if you are looking for authentic Indian-Pakistani food. I haven’t orders from the American or Mediterranean menus but my friend has and she thinks that the food is normal, not really authentic.

First visit today, and we were quite impressed. The menu is a mix of Indian and Middle Eastern /Mediterranean. Service was courteous, helpful and excellent. The food was from good to exceptional. We had veggie samosas(very good), chicken pakora(good), falafel(good), mango lassi(excellent), lamb biryani(excellent) and the«stuffed» lamb(exceptional). The stuffed lamb was one of the better dishes I’ve ever had anywhere — excellent seasoning(lots of cardamom?), tender lamb, great rice, just fantastic. We’ll be back to try other parts of the menu without question. We also got — which I assume is complimentary with all meals? — a trio of sample-sized things to dip nicely warmed/crisped bread in(it seemed like thin pita). Hummus, Jerusalem salad and an awesome homemade giardiniera — that was a really nice touch.
