I was very happy on my sunday night fluke fishing trip. Crew was very nice, helped people a lot, cared about fishing. Captain was very vocal over PA system, which was a nice change. Cruise out wasnt bad, lots of fishing spots hit. Really got your moneys worth out of this trip. I would have given them 5 stars but the boat is a little old and outdated, otherwise excellent experience.

We took a family fishing trip on this boat last August. It was so fun that we decided to do it again this year. Last year we were on the port side with Ken. This year we were on starboard with Todd. You can get the rods and bait, so you really only need to bring yourself. All of the crew are friendly and helpful. We had a group of 8. Everyone caught at least one fish last year and this year. It was mostly fluke and some sea robins. When lines tangled or a fish was caught, Todd was right there to help(just like Ken was last year). We went on the afternoon trip. Although the boat leaves at 2pm, it’s best to be there by 1:30pm to get your spot. I also recommend making reservations since the boat can get crowded. They take you to several different fishing spots alternating each side of the boat to who is in the sun and who is in the shade. On the way back to shore, Ken was cleaning all of the fish that was caught and over 18 inches long. It’s great not to have to make the mess and clean the fish yourself. We had a wonderful time and look forward to making this an annual tradition with the Jamaica II.

It was a great family trip. I went for my 25th birthday and had a great time. Everyone was so nice and the ship mates make it so easy to learn and help you along the way. The ocean view was a gorgeous addition. I would definitely go again and I hope to catch BIGGER fish!

This is one of those places that everyone that lives in or goes to the Jersey Shore needs to experience. I don’t even know where to begin. The crew is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and also very friendly. They will help you with as little or as much as you need, from rigging your lines to bringing in and cleaning your catch. The spots this boat chooses are excelent, and I’ve never been on a trip where I didn’t catch at least a few decent sized fish. Speaking of trips, the boat has 2 main fluking trips in the summer: half-day and full-day, the latter being every monday. For inexperienced anglers, I would recommend the half day to learn the basics, and to see if you like party boat fishing. For people who have fished before and don’t mind being on a boat for longer periods of time, the full day Monday trips are a must. You not only catch more keepers on a full day, but the boat can go further out in the ocean to better spots. I try to take at least 2 trips every summer, and they are well worth the small fee you pay to get on the boat, which includes, rods, rigs, and bait.

Helpful and knowledgeable crew. They offer discount trips on their website. I’ve been on a few party boats like this one and I’ll be going back on this one again.
