A true neighborhood barbershop. Great guys and even better cuts. The wait is usually 20 – 30 mins but that’s because people know this is the place where you will leave happy.

I wouldn’t ever go anywhere but Lessard’s to get my hair cut. I started going halfway through my time at BC because a friend recommended it. Now I recommend it to all my friends. I went home last summer for a little over a month, and waited until I came back to Boston to get my hair cut at Lessard’s. I’d rather have an overgrown cut from them than have a hold-​over cut from somewhere else. When I started going, I had Matt the first few times. He’s great. I’ve also had Paul and Greg since, and have nothing but good things to say about each of their work. They uphold a high standard that most places don’t these days.

I have gotten both my best and my worst haircuts EVER at the shop.
My worst was today when it really mattered for an important work week.
**Do Not get a cut on Monday. Feels like amateur hour. Today I received the most botched job (a bowl cut would have been better; bowl included). I specifically told the gentleman exactly what I wanted and he proceeded to ignore all of my instructions and leave me with what looks like a toupee sitting on an egg.
Sorry to be harsh, but any other day this would’ve been a 5 star review because Matt and Mike are the best, true professionals.

This is my local barbershop and the one I’ve used many times in the past few years. There is always a line so expect to wait around 5 – 10 minutes for your turn. The shop is pretty old and has a classic feel to it. The guys know what they’re doing and will accommodate your needs as long as you explain exactly what style you’re going for. Never had a bad experience and for just $ 16 a cut I’d say it’s a great place to go.

This is legitimately the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. Couldn’t go to my normal barber because I was in a pinch, and this dude just ruined my hair. Looks like I get to pay for 2 haircuts this week.

Worst cut I’ve ever gotten. I went in because I was short on time and now, I’m embarrassed to go to work tomorrow. The guy displayed zero passion for his trade. If you want a good haircut go to Michaels down the street.

Really friendly place, they saw me in about 15 minutes and I walked in with no appointment. I have never been to this place and they gave me the kinda cut you get from someone you’ve been going to for years. I had Paul cutting my hair and he was a pro. His way of doing fades is perfect and from what I saw of the other barbers in the place use a similar technique. Cash only which is no biggie and only 20 bucks (16 plus 4 dollar tip)! I will be a regular now.

My local barber. Every barber I’ve had there is lifelong experienced and won’t let you leave until you’re happy. They’ll engage you in conversation if you want but leave you alone if you feel like zoning out. Cash only, tip well!

Best haircut you can get in Boston. First come, first serve, cash only. All barbers are great. The only downside is the wait can be long because this place is so popular and provides an excellent service. I try to go as early as I can in the morning on a week day and usually only have to wait behind one person.

I wouldn’t normally review a barber shop but Lessards (and specifically Mike the main guy) crushes it and does such an amazing job I had to give it a perfect rating. I get compliments on my haircut every single time I’ve had it cleaned up by these guys.
The wait can be a little long since it’s walk-​ins only — no appts this place is old school — so try to hit them outside of prime time hours.

I’m amazed this place has such good reviews. I got a cut by the one covered with tattoos asking for a light trim and that I want to grow the back out. What does he do? Gives me a tape up. Maybe an honest mistake but that’s not all. He left me looking like I got a haircut two weeks ago! Hair still on my neck it looked awful. I had to go to a real barber and have it fixed. Maybe it’s just him but a place that allows such a crappy job clearly has no quality standards. If you want a real barbershop go to VIP Barbershop in Allston. Even Supercuts is way better than this shithole posing as a barbershop.

If you’re looking to walk in and get your dome trimmed up, be prepared to wait. It’s just a couple of dudes slinging scissors like bosses. They take care of each and every head that sits down in their chairs as equal as the last one. If you don’t mind waiting come to Lessard’s. If waiting bugs you, then feel free to go to Supercuts and have ya head wrecked and make my wait time at Lessards that much less. in fact. Ignore this review. Go to supercuts :)

My husband has been going here for years. This is an OLD SCHOOL barber shop with GREAT Barbers who can deliver a fantastic cut and hold a conversation at the same time! Very community friendly and great neighbors to the Oak Square and Brighton area!

A very stand up Barber shop if you live in the Oak square area. The guys that run it fun, and always sparking good conversation about music, or what have you.
Its first come first serve with no appts, and cash only hommie.
