Beehive Pantry, you had me at honeycomb almond cake, but I certainly didn’t stop there! Best scones and pastries in Rhode Island. I LOVE the Beehive Pantry, possibly more than the original Beehive on account of the fact that the pantry is exactly .9 miles closer to my house than the café. If the coffee doesn’t get you buzzing, then the pastries certainly will!

Over priced for sure. Coffee was great. I went to this place because many others in my community rave about it. I purchased a steak and cheese calzone and it was awful! Hardly any meat in it and it tasted strange, almost like liver. It was $ 4.00 and no longer than 4 inches. Purchased a muffin the size of a cupcake and paid $ 2 and change for it. The only perk I found was they had a tray of an item they carried for you to sample.

I love the Beehive Café in downtown Bristol, but sometimes I just want to get a coffee or something quick for lunch. The café can get crowded with a long line, so it may not always be ideal. The Beehive Pantry is the perfect place for a quick coffee or meal. I’ve been to the pantry a few times now and every time I’ve been there I’ve been greeted and helped immediately. Lately, they have been featuring samples of some of their food which is awesome because I love trying things before I buy them. I’m a frequent purchaser of the Honey Pot, which I think is espresso, milk and honey, but I get it iced which is amazing. And if I’m hungry, I’ll be sure to grab a sandwich and side of those delicious, signature chickpeas!

Great coffee and food and treats of substance — and now donuts! Hooray!!! Please don’t go if you’re expecting to dash in, get something and leave within seconds as this is slow food real food and real connection with the people working there. baked goods are always top notch salads are fresh and exciting and drinks are great.

Disappointed in what I was hoping would be an extension of one of my favorite spots in Bristol. As others have noted, staff seem annoyed that you’re there, no attempt to help identify any of the unlabeled salads, etc. One such salad cost me a stunning $ 8+, and contained about 3 bits of red onion, a few tiny pieces of celery, and a small scoop of chickpeas. The food is good, as expected from the Beehive, but I can get an overpriced salad anywhere, generally without feeling like I’m intruding on someone’s time and space. Work on the ‘facing’ of the store, both in terms of labeling and welcoming people who are going to spend their money in your business.

Very pricey for the amount of food you get !! The food is very good but for the amount of food you get, it’s not worth it! Very skimpy!!!

I went today for the first time. I was excited about going after reading all the positive reviews. I was sadly disappointed by one of the counter staff. She was abrupt and seemed like she wasn’t interested in me looking around. It was more like hurry up and get out. From what I could tell it had a nice selection of coffee and tea. Pastry looked good. It was the end of the day so I’m sure there’s more to choose from if you hit it in the am. I purchased two salads that looked great. I went because it was recommended by another Unilocal member. I noticed Some outdoor seating. I don’t fault the business but it’s important to feel comfortable when walking into a bakery/café. Why would I want to share this new business with friends if you don’t feel welcome. Hence the four stars.

While I LOVE the Beehive and all that they offer, I was a little disappointed in my first visit to the Pantry on a recent Saturday. The line is still painfully long, if not longer than at the original Beehive Café. Also, by 11am they were sold out of all the breakfast pastries which was why I made the special trip in the first place. Hopefully, they can ramp up production and work on making the staff more efficient. There were 3 different people tending to my one order and it was just too many cooks in the kitchen so to speak. I’ll be back for sure, but right now, it doesn’t seem the Pantry solved the over capacity issues with their Café location, instead it’s just another location to drive right by when you see the line out the door.

You may already know the Beehive Café in downtown Bristol, well, this is an offshoot of that wonderful place, which focuses on selling their breads, pastries, salads, and more. This is their first week open. When you walk into the establishment you are greeted by a clean and rather attractive interior. It is the type of place where you want to buy your groceries from. The food they sell is incredible, if you like the bread that comes on the Beehive a café sandwiches, you can buy it here and bring it home and eat it on your sandwiches. They also sell their cakes and breakfast pastries. Overall, this is a place you go to bring good food home to your family. Also, Check out their gluten free options. The GF Flaxseed Bread is great, you’ll actually feel like your eating bread…

Yes East Bay, your prayers have been answered. You can now get a delicious cup of Beehive Café coffee and a pastry in a place with a parking lot. Halleluiah. I was there on their fourth day of business and was greeted by a tentative, very new employee, but what he didn’t have quite yet in knowledge he made up for in friendliness. There haven’t been a ton of changes in the layout since the previous two businesses, but it’s very clean and bright inside. They have the full coffee menu from the Beehive Café, along with breads, cakes, tons of pastries, ready to go salads and a few sandwiches. Since this is only day four, I’m guessing the prepared section will probably be expanded a bit as they find their groove. Only four stars because I only had a coffee, but I will definitely be back to grab one of the delicious looking to go salads and maybe splurge on something sweet. How do they make my iced New Harvest coffee taste better than every one else that sells the same? Stop by if you are in the area. You won’t regret it.
