I always need my DD fix when I’m visiting New England. It’s so much better here than in the Midwest… it just is. This location was right next door to the VRBO condo where we were staying for the weekend and did not disappoint… yummy iced coffee!

I have to admit that I am addicted to coffee. I drink way more coffee than I probably should, and I have absolutely no desire to cut back. Growing up in New England, I’ve always wondered why D&D is so popular. If you need to add 10 scoops of sugar and half a cup of half and half to mask the disgusting flavor of your coffee, how can you stay in business? I’ve had better instant coffees. So I just don’t get how one of these places stays open, let alone thousands.
But they do have a redeeming factor; the iced tea isn’t bad (it was a steal when you could get any size for 99 cents).

Of all of the Dunkins in the world, this one is my absolute favorite. It doesn’t have the same feel as the others. The corporate-​ness is lessened, perhaps, by the ocean breezes coming up from the bay, and the charm of the tiny town of Bristol all around. I tell you, whenever I’m here I feel like I’m in the Gilmore Girls TV show, with everyone knowing everyone and everything for sale is quaint and charming (even the same donuts that every other DD in the world sells)

A Dunkin Donuts just like a zillion others ones. Nice selection of donuts, muffins and other treats created for the sole purpose of making your butt fleshy. Plenty of coffees and coolatas and other drinks and nice clean crappers.
However this D&D has two special things about it. First it is close to the end of the East Bay Bike Path, so you can just bike right over to it when you are done and immediately replace all those calories you worked so hard to lose. And second, you can sit outside on little benches while you pig out and look, smell and hear beautiful Narragansett Bay. All D&D’s will sell you donuts and coffee, but not many will give you a view like this.
