Benny’s

This is a small town store. It’s well stocked with everyday needs or wants.:) There is a old fashioned way about it. The staff is always helpful and friendly. It doesn’t take a hour to find something while walking the aisles. I’ve already gone in twice for Christmas lights and ended up with a few other items that I would have had to go to a larger store for.
This is a great little go to store for your items. I bought a old school lawn mower. Ya know the ones with no motor! lol yes !! I push this every summer and I gotta tell you it’s a great workout plus it does a pretty good job! Next will be a new winter snow shovel! You gotta love Benny’s if your a Rhode Islander!
They also offer tire service which is way better priced compared to some of the other tire companies around. Check it out!!!

This is one of the bigger Bennys in the area. An old school general store/​hardware store with just about everything you need.
Think of it as the Trader Joes of housewares, car care, pool care, paint, tools, toys, boat care, bikes, etc. Like trader joes they have small stores, low prices, and instead of 10 versions of the thing you want, they have one (the only one you most likely need).
Finding stuff here does not take an hour of walking around. You can get in and out quickly.
Things I have recently bought at Bennys for a great price: Mobil one oil, an air conditioner, wiper blades, fiberglass repair kit for a boat, bike tire tube, mason jars, garden hose, garden fencing, lunch boxes, and much more.
They to tend to have sales on certain items (wiper blades and Mobil Oil were recent ones) and the prices are crazy good. Though overall, everything is priced reasonably all of the time, and it is so much easier to get in and out of these stores than a big box store.
And the staff tends to be very knowledgeable, much more so than at big box stores.
And I find the quality of the items tends to be better than job lot. Especially gardening and housewares.

If you’re a native Rhode Islandah, then you know Benny’s is a household name. I mean, how can you NOT love Benny’s? These stores seem to have exactly what I’m looking for, no matter what it is. If you need new tires with mounting, car accessories, household cleaners, electronics, toys, snacks. I mean they have it all! This particular location is conveniently about 5 minutes from my house and I always come here first before venturing out to say Walmart or Target.
It’s a locally owned and operated business, they always seem to have friendly clerks at the cash registers as well helpful employees on the sales floor.
