Went here one time and it was a negative experience. The bar is tiny, had to pay a cover and there were no more than 10 people in the place. It was a joke. Just dingy and very seedy looking. If you are in the area, just go to barley vine or firefly

What can I say about the downtown café it is a good bar with specials all week long especially on Wednesday night they have the best $ 1 beer from 9pm to close and u can never go wrong when you go to the downtown and if read the big sign on the side of the building they tell you what is going on and the sign in front will tell you if there is a band or a DJ or open mic night and it changes all the time so you have to keep an eye out so u don’t miss any local band or special events that are going on.

This place is what you make of it. If you like dive bars with no uppity bullshit, you’ll be fine. Good sound for karaōke. Good space for live music. Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it, either.

We have been coming to the Downtown for several years. They have the best Tuesday night karaōke around!!! The drinks are good and they have specials too. The atmosphere is nice, the bartenders are good, even the owner seems like a nice guy. They have a nice stage/screen setup for karaōke, so when you are doing it, its actually almost like yes, you are performing for the crowd, not just staring at a little TV across the room. They have recently opened the kitchen and the food is actually very good. The night we were there I ordered the Roast Beef sandwich with a side of potato salad, and my sweetheart ordered a salad. Her salad was so big we had to take some to go, and the dressing was very tasty. Lots of fresh veggies, and it looked like it was just made, not made hours ago and sitting in a fridge waiting for someone to order it. My roast beef sandwich was STUFFED with meat. It was overflowing. The roll was nice and fresh and it wasn’t drowning in lettuce and mayo. The potato salad was really good too, and was freshly made. it had skin on potatoes, crunchy celery and bacon mixed in it too. Really good!!! I recommend Downtown Café for Karaōke, for Drinks, and for Food too. Definitely worth a try!

The old time atmoshpere is great. Awesome live bands, karaōke is supurb and because of th old tin ceilings it sounds amazing. The new cook is great and it was the best alla vodka sauce I have ever had. Love playing here!
