Everything about this meal was perfect! The service was ONPOINT and the food was delightfully surprising. I was under the impression that one cannot get a decent sized meal in RI until I visited«531». We ordered chicken burger, beef noodle soup and BBQ. My meal was fresh and it was easy to see that a great deal of effort was taken to source the perfect ingredients. The chicken was thick cut and cooked to PERFECTION; the side of beef was not some rink-dink piece of Waffle House tire meat– it was either hanger or flank… it was also cooked to PERFECTION; the side of BBQ was SUPER delicious and also cooked to PERFECTION. The coffee was also splendid. This is easily the best dinner in town with a more than reasonable price tag to boot. I was shocked and in a word, relieved to have an appropriately sized meal for dinner without paying through the nose. Kudos!

Jins Asian Fusion in Rhode Island is two blocks away the Bristol-prudence island ferry, and always has plenty of parking nearby. It is 3 minutes walk to the ocean drive. That being said, it is a nicely decorated restaurant and we found the some tables are big enough to sit more than 10 ppl. The bartender was super nice and friendly. It can also get noisy when full, which is inevitable on the weekends, Friday night and weekends’ night, do get a reservation! We had drinks, and ordered, the beef noodle soup, chicken burgers which are extra and are worth the price. They are so delicious. I had one of the pasta specials, it came piping hot, freshly made with fresh ingredients, very impressed. My wife had the eggplant and broccoli, which she thoroughly enjoyed and took home enough for lunch. Our friends also enjoyed the eggplant and broccoli, and the special drinks she ordered. Another friend had the cucumber gazpacho, and said it was very good also. The food is very well prepared, fresh and served directly from the kitchen to the table. For 8 of us, with drinks, dessert and tip, 190 dollars and they take credit cards. Whoever gave the bad reviews definitely missed their authentica beef noodle soup and pasta specials. This is a great place for drinks with amazing food. I highly recommend it.

Chinese food in a fancy bar environment. The owner is super nice and also the chef! Sometimes he will come to chat with cSuper recommend Lanzhou Noodles, and spicy eggplant. During the weekend, the restaurant turns to bar after 10pm. It’s definitely a good place for family dinning and friend s handing out.

So good! The owner was really accommodating to our party of eight, and the food is unbeatably authentic. My apple martini was just right too. The noodle soup is perfect, so is the spicy eggplant. Best I’ve had outside of Beijing(where I’m from). The vibe gets chill after dark, but the food stays hot! Super recommend!

So I’ve come in a few times to give them multiple chances as the first time I went in they had just opened. First Visit– I ordered a drink and watched the bartender(jojo) who was SURE she knew how to make a sangria pour half a cup full of simple syrup follow it with some cranberry juice orange juice and the last ¼ of it Riesling wine. As I’m sure you could have guessed it was horrible. When I asked if I could exchange it for something simpler like a rum and coke she informed me it was too close to close and she couldn’t serve anymore even though she had just given the other gentleman at the bar another beer. Second Visit — This time wasn’t so bad at all, Melinda was the bartender and she actually knew how to make a decent drink and had no problem chatting with us while we had a drink and ate some chicken teriyaki. She was super personable and nice and while the food was a little sub par to a lot of the Chinese restaurants around we decided to try one last time because of her attentiveness and familiarity with the menu. Third Visit — While so far they’ve been pretty hit or miss this is most definitely the last time I will be in Jins/531. We walked in were completely ignored by the blonde bartender who didn’t even introduce herself and just rudely asked us «what do you want» after about two minutes of just sitting at the bar wondering if she was ever going to be done flirting with the male patrons at the other end of it. When she finally gets to us and we tell her we wanted to order to go she tells us its after 10(it was 10:15) so its only appetizers and we asked if they were still fried rice or anything(which most places still have even when they switch to all appetizers) to which she informs us that they make the rice in the morning and throw it all out at night and then we were ignored for awhile so we stood there for about 5 more minutes having decided on the appetizer(when there’s only 9 options it doesn’t take that long) and debating walking out. Her manager walked by us and asked if we were waiting for something and we said we were waiting for our order to be taken. He then went and changed the music and loudly told her she should probably take our order then he turned to us and said«sorry we don’t like each other much haha”(any issues managers have with staff shouldnt be this apparent to customers) this was just kinda the icing on the cake of ill trained staff and poor quality food that is Jins/531/What ever the name is this week. Oh and I forgot to mention when the bartender came back out with our order she told us to «Check the bag, theres a language barrier and they looked at me like I was retarded when I asked for chicken fingers» just completely unprofessional… All in all WOULDNOTRECOMMEND. edit– this is the response I received from one of the bartenders reviewed above. Which in my eyes only further shows the unprofessionalism. «For your review of: Jins Asian Fusion Thank you kindly for your thoughts. you are correct that Melinda is very pleasant. As far as for myself and Nadia who you call the blonde we only wish we had the time to criticize others. and frankly we both agree that we could care less of your thoughts. in saying that I will also point out that your motif here is comical to myself and I speak for myself not the restaurant. So I will end it with this. We do not carry Reisling wine. so your attention to detail is off which to me makes your little novel void in my eyes. you clearly did not make an impression in my mind or I would recall your visit. thank you again. I was very disappointed in this place after reading such great reviews. I ordered from the dinner combination menu, and maybe that’s where I went wrong. I got the Sesame Chicken and the Orange Chicken. In both cases the chicken was fried to a point of being difficult to chew. The pieces were so small, one wonders if even a whisper of meat exists. The fried rice and spring rolls that they call egg rolls are fine. The price was very good, and the combo even comes with choice of soup. Also, the person at the bar was very nice.

Top-of-the-line food. Authentic and fresh made to order. The drinks were great the service was excellent. This is a great spot for dinner or take out. They have a late night menu, and the quality is not compromised. Highly recommended.

I always get excited when I see a Chinese place offering authentic dishes, so when I heard Jin’s was doing this, I had to try it. The place looks more like a tiny dance lounge than a restaurant, and the servers look more like club hostesses. Anyway, Jin’s is actually no longer Jin’s(called«531» now), but they still have Jin’s menu. The«Traditional» menu is very limited, and I was told that anything I ordered from this would take longer because it had to be made«fresh». I guess this doesn’t say much for the regular menu where things are apparently not made fresh. I ordered spicy shredded pork, spicy beef, seafood lo mien, chicken teriyaki, and steamed dumplings. The lo mien was pretty standard, with fake crabmeat comprising the bulk of the seafood. The dumplings were out of a Trader Joe’s bag, and the chicken teriyaki I ordered turned out to be dry and bland pressed chicken tenders. The two dishes weren’t bad, but they reminded me of my first ill-conceived forays into cooking Asian stir fries, where I would add the entire contents of some unusual looking Chinese condiment I picked up on an ethnic market run, turning the dish into a harshly flavored, heavily salted gloppy mess. I ordered the dishes extra spicy, and the kid working in the kitchen came out and excitedly showed me the spicy sauces he concocted for me. I appreciated the effort, but they weren’t very hot, and didn’t actually taste very good. I don’t know. Maybe I didn’t order the right things, and maybe my expectations were too high.

I stopped by because I’d been buying take out from the previous tenant and didn’t realized there had been a change. Boy am I glad I stopped by and that there are new owners! Granted, it was my first visit, but the food I had was fantastic. Beef noodle soup is apparently a specialty and I’ve had it many other places, including Hong Kong and Shanghai and this was as good as I’ve had anywhere, period. It’s a simple dish, but it was perfectly spiced and perfectly cooked. Delicious! I also ordered the eggplant with spicy garlic and it too was excellent. Head and shoulders above what I’ve had in other Chinese restaurants in Rhode Island and as good as I’ve had anywhere else in the US. The menu is small, but if everything is as good as what I had last night I’ll try it all. Considering the lack of really good Chinese food in Rhode Island this place is a great find and I highly recommend it.

I have been here five times and never get disappointed. Two weeks ago, one of my friends recommend me this place and said that jins has beef noodle soup and Chinese burger, which are the most two popular food in China. Since the first I tried those food, I have been this place at least once a week even I need to drive 30 mins. Anyway, the food here is amazing, the service is friendly, and the place is clean! What a hidden gem!
