One of my favorite thrift stores for clothes. The selection is generally very good at this particular location. There were a few times I walked away empty-handed, but that can happen when thrift shopping so I can’t hold it against the store. The furniture section is also generally well stocked, too.

This is my favorite shopping spot in Connecticut. I did all of my holiday shopping here and everyone was thrilled with their gifts. I spend so much time here that the cashiers know my name. Sometimes the pricing makes you scratch your head, but those occasions are rare and I figure that it works itself out in the end since I’m getting so much other great stuff at such low prices. Shopping karma, if you will.

Pretty decent. I mostly was interested in the book section. I wish they’d organize alphabetically instead of by genre, but beggars can’t be choosers :)

Another favorite location, found some cool stuff and plan on returning. Great finds. As usual good prices. 9÷29÷12 I’ve had to demote the savers stores down to 3 stars. Prices have gone up and perhaps through no fault of their own their selection is not what it used to be, perhaps donations are down. In any case, I stop by maybe every two weeks now instead of the 3 times a week that I did before.

As someone who has spent lots of years poking through thrift stores and second-hand shops, Savers was the most organized(and labelled!) of this type of business I’ve ever seen. Granted, it’s rather new, but it was quite nice to actually be able to browse books by genre and find clothing by correct size rather than all just thrown together needle-in-a-haystack-style. If you’re looking to save a ton of money and don’t mind giving some used items a new life, give Savers a try. I got two pairs of jeans and a shirt for under $ 20. They have a stamp card which earns you a stamp for every $ 5 you spend(they also stamp for donations) which, when filled, counts as a 30% off coupon.
