Was looking to give them another shot but it looks like they have closed down. It’s a great location and they did a ton of work — hopefully someone can be successful at this location!

Never have I looked forward to wings so badly only to be equally, if not more, disappointed in them. I gave the sour cream and onion wings a chance thinking they’d be like my favorite wings, salt and vinegar. from Buffalo Wild Wings. What a disaster! It’s like they took hot chicken wings, tossed them in actual sour cream, and then put a little onion powder on them. The result was awful. I’m pretty sure this place is now closed but if it’s not it will be in no time!

Looks closed. Not surprised after all the bad reviews. But I never got to try for myself and form my own opinion. Too bad. Save yourself the trip though, maybe call first be cause I’m not 100% sure it’s closed for good.

Went on Friday night early 6pm. Started with drinks my wife was served a glass of old Pinot noir. They substituted it with a glass of OLD cab sav. Finally got a glass of Merlot that was somewhat acceptable but still not good. We decided to order something called the Wagon Wheel it’s basically a poo poo platter of an assortment of their smoked offerings. We were told when ordering that they had NORIBS, NOCHORICIO. Really on a Friday night? So we ordered another scaled down version of this and got pulled(pulverized) pork, pulled(pulverized) chicken, a few fries, kidney beans in sauce and cold smoked sausage. Nothing tasted fresh, prepared earlier in the day and microwaved before being served . Our server was very nice under the circumstances. We left a ton of food on the table when we left and will never ever return!!!

We went here once and had some decent food. Despite the negative reviews, the barbecue was tasty and the wings were pretty decent. Went back for takeout today, and I ordered a pint of pulled pork along with some other stuff. Altogether we spent a decent amount. I got home and opened my $ 10.00 pint of pork, which was clearly labeled pork in magic marker, and it was baked beans. I was very happy to have a barbecue place within a 20 minute drive of my house, but I will not be going back. Quite a shame…

Decided to try Wing-N-It. Ordered 12 deep fried wings and had Hot Garlic and Med BBQ sauce on the side. The wings had plenty of meat on them and both sauces were excellent. Our server, William brought over the med BBQ sauce for us to try before ordering. We order 2 of the What The Kluck? sandwiches.(Char Broiled Chicken). Excellent sandwich. Included plank fries. Overall, Wing-N-It is an excellent place for Wings and anything BBQ. Easily deserves 5 Stars. William, our server was excellent answering any questions that we had. Highly recommended.

OK folks I’m swimming against the tide in this one. I’ve waited for this place to open and settle in as a new place to eat. I’m going back. I Tried wing n’ it for the first time last night and really enjoyed the food and the good folks who served me. We were welcomed to the restaurant by a very nice bartender who introduced herself as Denise. She allowed me to sample two beers about which I had questions. I passed on a really good IPA and settled on a smoked beer. After a few minutes she offered to show me the rest of the restaurant and the function room. She introduced staff members as we walked around and introduced the owner. This is a friendly crowd. The wings were very nicely done. Well smoked. They were the whole wing. Big juicy and plump. Smoked food can be overdone and bitter. These wings were just right for me. I’ve done a lot of BBQ in the south. Great wings. Sauce is a condiment. The buffalo drops were born to be enjoyed with beer. Buffalo chicken and Mac and cheese deep fried and dipped in blue cheese. Bar food nirvana. Corn I the cob, potato salad, and a pulled pork appetizer with a great dipping sauce finished off the experience. I’m going back. I was there early with a small crowd good food and friendly bartenders add smoked beer and enjoy.

Good selection of beers although no Sam cold snap or Yeungling. Got curry wings and my gf got the buffalo chicken Mac & cheese. Her Mac n cheese was very tasty and a good portion size. My wings though… I had just gotten curry wings a few weeks ago at a huge wing chain with the initials BWW and loved them. Wing-n-it’s wings were much larger and obviously I liked that… But they were barely and I mean BARELY cooked enough(and I’ve read a few other reviews saying this same thing) the skin wasn’t crispy and the middle was just barely lukewarm, and the curry is not a flavor I would recommend from there. I got them fried by the way which you get to choose… Which is odd to me. I wanted to like it but I was underwhelmed overall.

So I have lived in Bristol for three years and was somewhat excited for this place. We walked in for lunch and sat at the front for about 2 minutes with no direction on where to go or anybody to ask. We sat down at the Bar and the bartender did promptly ask us for a beverage. Although we did interrupt her texting on her phone. I look through the menu which was a little much in my opinion not easy to much going on. Following that we finally choose what we want to eat so we decide on a drink order. I asked if that had Titos vodka which they didn’t and then went to my back up ketel one which they ran out of. So then asked for Chopin they don’t have that either. I then looked at there wine list which I have up on. I gave up all together and ordered a Mountain Dew. My fiancé ordered a Pepsi didn’t even bother trying. While she got those Drinks immediately she then took our order holding her phone and texting while I’m asking about the menu and the food she also then asked if I could give her one second while I was ordering. She put our order in and we then enjoyed the atmosphere which was oddly nice. Food came out Honey Mustard boneless wings and The buffalo Mac & cheese the Mac and cheese was bland and stone cold the chicken wings were eh but the honey mustard sauce was great. Definitely a sauce I would purchase for my house. After sending the Mac & Cheese back I was happy that they did not microwave it was heated properly bit the flavor was just not there. The food wasn’t worth coming back for but I would try it again to see if it was just an off day. I wish they sold there sauces

Wow wish I would have check Unilocal before coming here. Let’s start off with me purchasing a living social deal for this place $ 15 for a $ 30. I went there with a friend and got the fried calamari for an app, pulled pork and boneless chicken with hot garlic sauce. Calamari was flavorless. Pulled pork was good. Hot garlic sauce chicken okay. Oh yeah got a slice of chocolate coconut cake I’m going to take a guess and say that it was a week old, took and home and have it in front of me right now things ROCKSOLID. And last but not least that living social deal haha that was a joke went to use it and they don’t accept them so now I’m in a battle with living social to get my money back. Wish everything was perfect, looks like it has the potential, would have loved to hang out here. Oh well! Time for the owner to read these reviews and crack down

Being a huge lover of BBQ and wings, once I heard the former Backroad Grill was becoming a wing place, I was beyond ecstatic! But when me and the fam came here, it was our first and LAST time coming here! I mean, months of anticipation was deflated in a matter of minutes. Basically, as soon as we walked in the door, s*it went downhill. with the quickness! We walk in, there is no sign saying wait for hostess to seat you or seat yourself. So I’m like, umm what do we do. As we are standing around clueless about the seating arrangement, a staff member walks by us, not once but twice. Makes eye contact, but does not say a word. Ok thanks for the brush off. When you walk in, on your right side there is a pastry counter and there was another staff member sitting behind the counter. Yup, no acknowledgement, no hi do you need any help, nothing. So finally, another waitress makes her way to us and seats us. I am going to spare all you Unilocalers of the rest of my horrible experience here so I am going to sum it up for you like this. Lousy, slow service. Below average food(my boneless wings had hardly and sauce on them). Prices do not validate the quality of food. I think this location is just cursed. No matter what it is, it just sucks.

Huge disappointment. I was hoping this place would have improved since the first few reviews but It was just as bad for me. Atmosphere: A little paint and new fixtures can be an easy upgrade, but I’ve been in this building when it was The Back Road Grille and the K of C and the lay out has not changed at all. This is a problem because the bar area has always had a lot of potential for other uses like live music, and trivia but it lacks the functional space. Menu: The menu looks nice but also lacks function. There are symbols next to menu items but no explanation for what they mean(the horseshoe symbol and the term«get hitched»). The page with the wings was also confusing. I think its nice that they gave the different style of wings cute names but I hate that I had no idea what each type of wing was and had to ask. Food: We had medium buffalo wings(medium flavor) and they were weak. I’m sensitive to spicy and these were a walk in the park, I wouldn’t want to find out how weak the mild wings are. They did have an interesting under taste from being grilled but hardly enough to justify the lack of spice. They had run out of boneless wings and I’m not sure why since during the dinner rush we were the only table; they were unprepared to have customers. The ribs were terrible. I wanted to have something that was smoked since they have that giant smoking garage outside. I regret it a lot. It tasted like it has been smoked but not recently and then drenched in discussing tasting BBQ sauce. Unfortunately the gratuitous amount of sauce did not mask the low quality of the rib meat and how dry it was. I couldn’t even bring the bones back to my dog because there was more cartilage then bone. The sauce tasted like overly seasoned ketchup. I tried the loaded potato because the photo on here looked good but I wish I had asked what it was loaded with. It is just a cut up undercooked potato with some chilli and cheese, not what I was expecting. It wasn’t even loaded with the same things as the potato in the photo, you can’t just change what goes into a dish when ever you want. Not all the food was bad: The burger stuffed with cheese and covered with bacon was actually really good. The corn bread was moist and the regular and sweet potato fries were good(hard to screw up fries). The menu is trying to hard with some of the menu items. They should pick a few items to make extremely well like, ribs, burgers, and wings instead of having a lot of random dishes all done subpar. I usually eat everything on my plate or eat the leftovers later that night, but I’m not even sure why I brought it home because no one in my house will even look at it. For the first time ever I can not pawn off left over ribs on someone else.

So last time when I went here they were only open for two weeks. I gave it another chance expecting to not like it all over again. boy was i wrong… so we were greeted by a hostess and was seated. i went with one of my friends and we had a very friendly waitress. She told us of this lunch special of getting 6 wings, a loaded baked potato and a dessert for only 10! i liked the«clunks» the last time i went but the last time i went they were dried out. o i asked her if i could have the clunks and she made it happen. i thought that was awesome of her to do that for me. then we got our food in a timely matter. i got the sauce it was a sweet tangy bbq sauce, with a loaded baked potato with chili and cheese and a generous helping of sour cream. it was huge for a lunch portion. the«clunks» were amazing this time. and my friend let me try one of the wings and the wings were really good. i told the waitress about my not so good experience the last time and she told me they did a «cleaning up».which im glad! if you came here already, you should really give it a second chance. if you have not come here yet and read the bad reviews and were hesitant of trying it, give this palce a chance! you will like it

This is a place that has a lot of potential. They’ve got all of the elements needed to have a successful restaurant; cool looking modern interior, unique cocktail list, great beers on tap, menu that’s not too big but has something for everyone, freshly baked desserts, and a big ‘ol smoker out back that smells delicious. They just need to get better at the execution and work out some kinks. I’ve seen the bad reviews, and I’ve heard the long list of gripes. This restaurant made a big boo-boo by having a crappy opening. This is in Bristol and people there talk, and it can ruin your business before you even get a chance to redeem yourself. BUT I wanted to give them a chance anyway, so I went with a friend that wanted to go back and try it again after giving them a month to work out some of their issues. We went for lunch and it wasn’t crowded, but there were definitely a good amount of tables seated. All of the servers working were friendly and professional… much unlike a lot of the young, inexperienced servers that were complained about when they first opened. It’s very apparent that they’ve «cleaned up shop.» They had a great lunch special that included 6 wings with any sauce, a loaded baked potato, and a slice of any dessert for $ 10. What a steal! I was in. I decided on the medium buffalo wings, but I wish I had gone for the spicy ones! They didn’t really have much kick although the sauce was very good. The wings were good sized, although a little bit too slimy and greasy for my taste. They weren’t bad, I was just hoping for better from a WING place! *sadface* However, the loaded baked potato was VERY good! It was loaded with sour cream, baked beans, bacon and lots of cheese. They sliced the potato for you right in the casserole dish so that there’s loaded fixings on every bite. Fantastic. We got to go pick out our desserts, and we decided on bringing them home because we were much too full after the meal. I might be back again if I hear whispers of more improvements…

as a waitress who has worked at two restaurants that had newly opened I was prepared to deal with slow service and kinks when my boyfriend begged for us to try wing n it when we had been waiting so long for the place to open up. When we got there on a Sunday night we were told that the girl behind the bake station would seat us. She was busy so we stood waiting for 10 minutes until another woman sat us. We ordered a miller lite and a Sam Adams. Our waiter walked away. When he came back 10 minutes later and without beers, my boyfriend asked him a question about how to order wings since the menu doesn’t clearly state if you order by the piece or by the half dozen, etc. The waiter just gave us a blank look and said«I’m not really sure.» As a waitperson, if you don’t know something about the menu, you should ask someone who does know. So our waiter walked away and I saw him just aimlessly walking around. When he came back 5 minutes later we asked where the beers were and he said«um it should be another minute.» At that point we knew it was time to just leave and so we did. Wish I could have tried the food but when you spend 25 minutes with terrible service and nothing in front of you, you’re just ready to end it. I was hopeful for this place, but really should have hired more experienced servers because they’re the first impression and this first impression was awful.

Ups. and downs… well more downs than ups. I think they did a somewhat good job with the remodel but as a restaurant manager and a graduate from Jwu there’s a lot more that they could have done. The service was terrible. Seriously get a book on serving tables 101 and you would do better. The food… Yaaaa… Sorry but I can make better… Nothing to write home about… Since I live in this industry I am never one to hate… But i wish them luck… I’m a local and would love to see them do well.

Avoid this place. I went there while visiting a friend and while the 80 sauces attracted me, the meat disgusted me. The chicken was like eating plastic. I couldn’t wait to leave. If this place closes tomorrow, it wouldn’t be soon enough. Avoid it like the plague. Yuck!!!

I gotta agree with the rest of the reviews here… I was SOOOO excited for this place as I LOVE wings and BBQ. I mean I really LOOOVVEE wings and BBQ and honestly, Rhode Island lacks in both departments in a big way! So, when I was gathering my group to go eat there, we were all pretty stoked to try the 80 different sauces and BBQ… however… I’d like to offer good and bad but there wasn’t really anything good about the experience except that I will give them another chance since they did just recently open… yet they got a lot of ‘xplanin to do! Wings were really small. Cooked well, crispy not dried out but small. The sauces were really lacking in lots of things, flavor, consistency(the house made sauce seemed like it was unnaturally thickened and then was just too thick). The curry sauce? What the hell, all they did was fry the wings and toss in curry powder! How about being creative and actually make a sauce? The sesame soy ginger sauce was OK, but like the rest of them, everything just needed seasoning… love in culinary terms. Tried the ‘smoked chicken wings’…ummm, how about some sort of seasoning? Something to add taste besides the weak smoke that was used? They came out plain, nothing on them, no salt, no pepper, NOTHING! And when we asked for more bleu cheese or ranch they charged us .75 cents for about half an ounce ??? Really? Dessert was also left pretty lacking even with a «pastry chef» in the back… the«Apple Donuts» were just sliced apples, battered and fried. They came out raw, all stuck together in one big clump… the fried oreos were soggy, dredged in a thick bitter chocolate sauce. Might wanna check your«pastry chef’s» credentials again guys… Now, as hopefully the owners or friends of theirs may read these, it may sting a little to hear how much people really aren’t enjoying or aren’t seeing the«vision» had for this dream to open a GREAT wing and bbq place but… people aren’t. You can and will succeed if you swallow your pride a little, listen to your public and re-evaluate the things discussed here and you will hopefully win back the people who really want and in my eyes, really need you to succeed! The food and without mention, your servers(really young, under trained and unknowledgeable) need work. Take a step back, breath and come back to it and KILLIT! It’s such a great concept, an awesome location, kinda cool building(interior needs a little more work, too bright, too kitchy…) and a wanting public who WOULDDIE for a great LOCALBBQANDWINGPLACE!!! I wish you luck and will come back for a visit in a couple months… hopefully with a revised review!

Disappointed I must say. I so want a BBQ place near me!!! I know they just opened and my New Year resolution was to be nicer… so here we go, Wings good… asked for the hottest they make… decent heat for a Texan. Brisket…WTF…I got a pint of BBQ sauce with something burnt in it… Potato Salad– ok Beans– not done… was eating raw beans!!! So I will give them a month to get their sh*t together… normally they get ONE chance… I cannot be nice next time!

Just recently opened Wing-n-It has potential — if they can work out the kinks. Pulling in to the parking lot, the first thing you notice is the smoker«shed» — w/its piles of wood and amazing smell. It got my hopes up. The inside of the restaurant was a nice surprise as well. They’ve expanded the space of the old Backroad Grille by turning the back«function room» into an extended dining room(complete w/a fireplace and mounted deer’s head.) The bar looked nice as well — more open than before — w/a nice selection of craft beers(not expansive — but some good selections.) The staff was nice — if a little confused about some of the menu items(they just opened) — and its from here on out that they could improve. We went the bar-b-q route — ordering brisket and smoked/bbq chicken. The meats were good — but at lunch w/only a few tables filled our order took a long time — the waitress apologized twice — and came out luke warm(w/somewhat soggy fries.) My wife asked for an extra bit of the«spicy BBQ sauce» and we were charged for it. There’s really no excuse for that — they should have at least a few of their many sauces on each table(perhaps their BBQ, spicy BBQ and a mustard sauce?) I can’t think of any BBQ joint down south I’ve been to that doesn’t have sauce at each table. Also — if you’re going to have that many sauces on the menu — the staff should know what they are w/o repeating the word«buffalo» over and over. I know that all the sauces aren’t buffalo sauce. The coleslaw was good — but could have used a little salt & pepper(as could most of the food.) So — to sum up — we’ll give it another try in a few weeks — as it could be a good option w/just minor corrections — a little more attention to seasoning, better coordination w/the kitchen(hot food!) and some available sauce. Hopefully I can update my review and add a star or 2.
