Clark(the manager) along with Laurie & Bob(gardeners) are amazing with customers. My wife and I drove over to Broad Run for the first time today. We will definitely make this part of our regular grocery shopping. This is the beginning of the season, which means that many food items are just now becoming available. In spite of this, we were impressed by the selection of herbs and vegetables as we strolled through the modern and well-maintained greenhouses. I picked up some fresh-off-the-vine kale/mustard leaves/radishes. The kale is one of three varieties this season, the mustard leaves are very spicy and I have yet to try the radishes. I am looking forward to some of the other plants I saw growing, like purple carrots(not the ubiquitous, man-made orange variety in grocery stores), onions, tomatoes, etc. Beyond the vegetables, the main building has fresh eggs(chicken and duck), humanely raised meats and plenty of other things we will be trying. The meat and egg prices seem a bit higher than grocery stores, but I think the quality is probably superior and the money stays local, which I prefer. You also get a small discount for bringing back egg cartons, whether they are from the Broad Run or not. The farm itself is just a beautiful, relaxing setting. There is a pond as well as many flowers and animals to admire.

We were on our way to this nursery on a Saturday to buy a specific plant for my dad, for his birthday. We left Warrenton at about 4:35 and the establishment closes at 5 pm. I gave them a call just to let them know that we were coming and we would arrive around 5 min. til 5:00, but we knew what we were buying and would be an instant sale. When we arrived at about 4:52 the gate was closed! When I called their number and spoke to Jackie, she basically told me «too bad, come back tomorrow», then I said we cannot and they would loose a customer and she proceeded to hang up on me. We won’t be going back and it is a shame because we had just discovered it the week before and had decided to use this nursery for our landscaping needs.

Thomas the manager is a emotionally charged passive aggressive excuse for a manager. Do not apply to work there if you do get ready for some childish sass. 100% percent unprofessional and pain to work with.

scenic farm that has free ranging chickens some of which share a space with goats, turkeys, and a donkey. Fun to watch them run around and am glad to see that they have a lot of space outdoors. Farm sells vegetables, meat, eggs etc. They have lots of plants for sale.

The Farm at Broad Run is a working farm that has a number of services available. You can buy plants from the nursery, chickens and eggs(and other market items) from the market, they have landscaping services as well as a venue set up for weddings and other special events. I have been here a few times and it’s always a lot of fun to visit. The quality of plants is excellent, they are also perfectly acclimated for the region. They’re also a lot cheaper than if you were to go to a garden center. The staff is really friendly and always helpful.
