A great place, but there a clearly some internal issues. Overheard one of the bosses(I guess) completely embarrassing this poor employee who was doing their best. It was NOT the time or place to do that and it was very unprofessional– and he(the employee) was doing fine!(from what I saw). Their new location is completely confusing and their stuff is completely overpriced considering they don’t grow most of it on the premises. I agree with the above review– don’t drag your customers into your politics. It is a beautiful place though, if you have plenty of money to burn and you ignore how they treat their employees.

They have moved the Festival of Spring(flower picking) to another location up the road and this location is only used for fall operations like pumpkin sales and Christmas tree sales, or at least that is what I’ve been told. Several friends and neighbors are confused by this as I have had to personally explain it to them. I’ll chalk this up to moving kinks and hope they’ll get it squared away soon. Update: they have marked this location as MOVED. My review dropped from 5 stars to 3 stars because I prefer this location over the new one and since it is closed now I can’t enjoy it like I used to. When it was open it was awesome and I can only hope that it returns one day. The new location just doesn’t have the same feel that this one did, so I can assure you it will be noticed and missed. I’ll have to wait until the fall to see how the changes have affected everything. Oh and like the new location, they’re dragging customers into the Dominion«Power Tower» debate with large signs that express their opinions. Please leave me out of it and work on it behind the scenes.

Family owned and operated. Adore Burnside for great service, nice selection of seasonal goods, to include annuals and perennials, fruits and veggies, and more. Great place for pumpkins and mums in the Fall. Love the Springtime tulip picking…

We just visited this cute little farm for the first time today and had a wonderful time! The staff are so friendly and helpful and really make you feel welcome. They explain everything to you(instructions/information are also found on their Facebook page) and send you off into the fields with a wagon, basket and some shears. I actually wasn’t expecting the little farm to be in suburbia, but once you are walking through the sunflower fields, you really don’t notice the houses around you. My 3 year old son had a blast going to visit the animals(turkeys, chickens, goats and miniature pigs) and swinging on the blue swing. There are lots of little photo spots set up throughout the field, including a vintage Schwinn bicycle which my son absolutely loved(especially the horn!) All in all, we had a fantastic morning here picking sunflowers and making friends. This is a great place to bring your family. We will definitely be back in a few months for pumpkins and next year for tulips!

I found out about this place in Prince William Living Magazine and made a point to stop by and check it out. It is a darling little place where you can pick your own flowers. I went out twice during daffodil and tulip season and was not disappointed. I picked several lovely bouquets. The prices are incredibly reasonable and you’re getting quality flowers. There are also irises and then sunflowers later in the summer. It’s a great place to go for a little fresh air and sunshine and still be close to home.

Cute chickens, goats, pigs, and ducks Pretty rows of tulips being able to take pretty tulips home being able to take the bulbs too to replant I think that meets all the criteria for a good date spot.

The flowers were nice, I guess, but the place is disorganized, poorly run, and the people working there were rude.

The customer service is poor, the hours are inconsistent and they are flakey. I’d love to support our local«farmer’s market», but my money can go elsewhere.

I see this place every morning on the way to work but never stopped in to check it out. So on a Sunday morning, I decided to see what they had to offer. Burnside offers a selection of both«conventional» fruits and veggies, as well as local organic offerings. In addition to fruits and veggies, you can can get jams, jellies, pickles, and other«canned» foods. And as Autumn is fast approaching — they have all sorts of decorative Autumn ornamentals — gourds, squash, pumpkins, Indian corn — and a whole lot more! There are also some critters that have the run of the place — an odd looking chicken, a potbelly pig, a pony, and«Fainting Goats.» I kid you not! I picked up some Zucchini, Crookneck Squash, Red Onions, and one Habanero pepper, plus a jar of Pumpkin Butter. Folks running the place are friendly and helpful, I will be back!

What a wonderful little market! When we stopped by there were only flowers and honey(it’s still a little early in the season), but the customer service was wonderful, the flowers are beautiful, and the honey is sooooo good! We will definitely be back for the fresh produce!
