We had a group of nine and it was fantastic. Steve our server was quite descriptive with the specials. He’s been there 20+ years and has waited on us in the past. He’s the best. We all had different entrees fish to pasta and they were all perfect. We tried all the desserts and loved them all.

I have to give this restaurant 3 stars for their maximum effort. Maybe I was jaded by the Valentine’s Day gloom but regardless of romanticism, this restaurant didn’t deliver on it’s food promises. First off, everything was the same color. From the soup, to the sauce, to the steak — if brown was appealing then we’d be golden. The flavors were mainly salt with a touch of pepper and yesterday’s enthusiasm. I had the steak thinking it would be an ok choice. I think I maybe had 3 bites… it was flank at best and tasted like it was sold at discount from Sizzler. The restaurant itself is cute. Décor is on-point with a Tahoe meets Hobbit vibe and the whimsical nature of a cozy cottage is enticing. I just wish the food behind the façade was as stellar.

Our neighbor raved about this place so the hubs and I decided to check it out on a date night. It is quaint, dark, and somewhat intimate but I was less than impressed, even as a foodie. I don’t think we’ll be back – it’s a bit overrated. The service, the food, the wine selections were good but not worth the sticker price.

We have had dinner here many times over the years and have never been disappointed. It is consistently good where consistent is the key word.

We spent our presidential Valentine’s weekend in Tahoe with another couple. We had our valentines dinner at Soule Domain and it was a phenomenal experience. Why? 1) food — Delish. We ordered lots from the special menu, mussels were so yummy. Everything good. Wine delicious. Dessert — strawberry mousse was good. The HOMEMADEICECREAMWASSODELICIOUS!!! Wow!!! 2) STEVE. Steve is the man! He is the most awesome, wonderful, attentive, handsome waiter ever!!! His mustache is on point. Steve really took care of our table and thoroughly went through the dining options and was so just friendly and welcoming. You cannot go wrong here, especially if Steve is taking care of you. Loved the food, ambiance, and everything! Shout out to Devon who sat us and took pictures for us. Will come back anytime we are in Tahoe.

Hello Everyone, Soule Domain combines the rustic feel of being in the mountains with great food. The atmosphere is quiet and subdued, a very«cabin» like feel. It is a perfect place for a couple or small group to share a quiet, intimate dinner. I was inspired after reading the owners back story and made the choice of where to eat easy for me. The food was good too! There are plenty of choices on the menu especially for such a small place. I chose the salmon which was drizzled with a yummy miso sauce. My only complaint was the salmon was slightly under cooked. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave the impression that she had tried everything. She was also great help in selecting a wine. I definitely will return and recommend Soule Domain. Steve

This unique restaurant is tucked away pretty much out of sight, but it’s worth looking for. The food and the service is unfailingly outstanding.

Soule Domain is a wonderful place. The old log cabin which houses the resteraunt is so comfortable and inviting that you relax the minute you walk in. The service, food and atmosphere combine to make a night out exceptional. I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy the Soule Domain

TL;DR — The food is delicious and Steve was the best waiter we have ever had! We will be returning when we come up to Tahoe again. My husband and I came up to Tahoe for our one year anniversary. We wanted to have a nice, special night to celebrate, including delicious food. Soule Domain exceeded our expectations! It’s a cozy, intimate little log cabin, with a handful of tables. Steve was our waiter, and he was phenomenal! The way he described the specials made us want to order them all! We got Scallops for our appetizer and they were cooked PERFECTLY. For soup, it was a summer squash purée with ginger that was beyond delicious(and I’m not a huge fan of squash or ginger, and I wanted seconds of this). My husband got the Ono entrée(one of the specials for the night) and I got the White Shrimp, Scallops & Lobster. Both were delicious; I had to force myself not to finish my plate so I could leave room for dessert. Dessert was Créme Caramel and Mango Pecan Bread Pudding. Both were EXCELLENT. And Steve was just the icing on the cake — he was knowledgeable about every dish we asked him about, describing them in detail, and even the wines as well. He was also very attentive and just had a great personality. We will definitely be back again.

This is our special date night place. Ambience is perfect for a romantic dinner. The soup was bland, pasta dishes seemed smothered in sauce, sauce was heavy. Salmon is great. Everything is fresh and homemade. Make reservations, every time we’ve been there it gets packed out within 30 mins. Our normal reservation time is 6pm. We’ll be back.

Wow! Talk about good food! I had the Hawaiian Ono and it was plate licking good! I was there with 5 other ladies and they all loved their meals. We left for home the next day but my friend took her mother there for dinner the next night. She loved it so much. We will definitely go back next time we are in Tahoe.

I’m really pissed off today at this restaurant. I’ll explain why. Not that it will matter… the restaurant will still thrive based on its reputation. So, I’m the founder of . The site’s mission is to help diners around the world find the best dinner tables for romantic meals. I had visited Soule Domain early in the day yesterday and determined that Table 5 was worthy of my site. Around 4PM I called and spoke to a gentleman about whether I could dine at Table 5. He said, «Sure, we’ll have it for you at 8:15PM.» So, I waited all day around Incline Village until 8:15PM. I could have gone to a ton of other places, but, no, I had a confirmed reservation. So I waited. I showed up at 8:15 sharp. The first hostess looked at the reservations sheet — as did I — and clearly my name was there, under Table 5, for 8:15PM. But they had given the table away!!! No reason!!! Clearly, they had my name, phone number, and all the reservation information there on their own«system», but they ignored it. In their defense, another hostess offered me another table — a four-top — but if I’m going to pay over $ 150 for a romantic dinner with my girlfriend, I want the table for two I specifically requested and they explicitly agreed to give to me. Anyway, I doubt I’ll return. I don’t want to be treated that way again.

Amazing! Wonderful food, wonderful service. Pleased beyond my expectations. The log cabin, but upper scale ambiance is so nice to have a quiet and beautiful meal at. Atmosphere is pleasant, service is on par and so friendly! Steven was so great to us and fun to talk to as we ordered and are or meal. They know their food! The filet mignon was soft and the sauce paired the meal so well! Your taste buds will be happy!

This gem of a restaurant hit it out of the park! The cute wooden cabin it’s located in is adorable. It’s quaint, not overcrowded, nor too loud. The staff are all very down to earth, friendly and clearly really love their food, and that’s for a good reason. All 4 dishes we ordered were so delicately flavored, with layers of flavor profiles. I sensed French and Thai influences in my dish, the scallop, shrimp and lobster in a fantastic sauce that included coconut cream, tomato and lemongrass. The lobster wontons for an app were delicious, in a broth that had a punch. 5 stars for Soule Domain!

I can’t believe I had never been here before tonight! This is truly a hidden gem. I’ve been coming to Tahoe multiple times /year since I was 3 and have a really good sense of the food and restaurant options in the north shore(or so I thought). This place is totally under the radar but it’s been around for nearly 30 years. A total log cabin feel with small intimate setting, amazing service(Steve, one of the brother owners himself was our server tonight). Food was out of this world good. It kind of reminds me of an Alice Waters restaurant, but it’s a bit more reasonably priced. Woohoo! Homemade bread and homemade hummus to start. Amazing. But don’t fill up on it because you have a huge meal ahead! You get a starch and an appetizer soup/whatever is fresh on the menu that day INCLUDED with whatever entrée you get! They offer wines by the glass as low as $ 5. OMG. Vegetarian and vegan entrees! I got the vegan sautée it was to die for. So fresh, squash, onions, mushrooms, peppers, tofu and root vegetables all in a curry sauce. So impressed — I will be back whenever I’m in town and can get a reservation!

Everything the chef makes here is divine. My mouth waters just thinking about it — true to Pavlov’s word! The actual space is an old log cabin that I believe the family who owns the place grew up in. The seating is limited and the restroom is kind of in a weird spot, but it is very cozy and home-like. They have a full house pretty much every night they’re open — make your reservation ahead of time to ensure you will have your tastebuds rocked! Parking is as limited as seating, so if you can park at one of the casinos and walk over that is best. You will not be disappointed! All of their wines pair nicely with their menu items so you can’t go wrong there, either. The service is excellent and I always leave here with a smile and a happy tummy.

If you like FRESHINGREDIENTS cooked with BOLDFLAVORS served up in a COZYSETTING by REALLYFRIENDLYSTAFF then Soule Domain is your kind of place. Pricing at about $ 40/pop is quite reasonable considering all of the above and the fact that you are in a tourist mecca. We came here on New Year’s Day 2015 and felt very happy to have been able to get a reservation at such a relatively upscale place — you definitely want to call ahead to reserve, BTW. The setting can best be described as being cozy or homey(the place used to be a residence in days long gone) but I thought it was too cozy to be very romantic. I mention the bold flavors because while I like my food and drink to stand up and shout not all of my companions are of the same mind and I don’t think they appreciated the rich and powerful sauces Chef Soule prepared. I ordered the«Nightly Homestyle Classic 4 course meal» which featured organic chicken thighs in a mustard-based sauce and I loved every morsel. My wife had the trout special which I tasted and thought to be very delicious, but she found the sauce it was served with to be overpowering. To each his/her own! My sons had the Linguini and the Scallops and their opinions were again split between one who appreciated the bold flavors and one who would have preferred for the more delicate, natural juices to prevail. After dinner we wandered into a couple of the nearby casinos and were assaulted by cigarette smoke in each. This reminded me that smokers have deadened taste buds and no sense of smell so if Soule Domain’s clientele base overlaps substantially with those of the casinos maybe that explains the need for stronger seasoning on the food? Or, heaven forbid, is Chef Soule a smoker!!! Soule Domain is definitely worth a try, especially if you prefer a setting which is off the main tourist drag.

This is a month late but never the less… I’m taking the time to do it so here it goes! They made the brother’s birthday extra special… definitely well worth checking out folks!!! Also… don’t judge a book by it’s cover… yep… totally applies to this place. The outside looks dingy… but the inside is warm and cozy and the service: simply superb! Definitely make a reservation since the place is small. We had an early reservation so we got seated promptly… menu… they popped open our bottle of wine(forgot how much the corkage but I think it was either $ 25 or $ 30 — double check) Since we were a party of five… I’ll only discuss what I had: * Escargots sautéed with fresh rosemary, shiitake mushrooms, garlic, burgundy butter and served in a pastry shell = this completely blew my mind! The presentation(in a freakin’ pastry shell!) plus the taste… wow! It was one of those«melt in your mouth» moment and I couldn’t help but smile after every bite. Plus… it went oh so good with our wine! Seriously… TRY it! * White Shrimp, Fresh Sea Scallops & ¼ Maine Lobster Tail sautéed with bell peppers, fresh basil, tomatoes, mushrooms and lemon garlic butter, cheese and onion in pasta = um my eyes were bigger than my tummy! However… this was delicious as well! All the seafood were cooked right… not over not under… just right. Plus the sauce was the right amount… it was a good blend of everything… My whole family enjoyed their dishes… and my mother… who rarely finishes or likes where we eat… seriously, no joke… ate everything! She ate a four course meal… no left over… and for that… this place is so deserving of my five stars! We opted not to get dessert(but they gave the bro a chocolate cake in the end) since we were all full… Folks… seriously… GO already! The ambiance… the service… the pricing(decent with the amount of food and the quality!) THANKYOU Soule Domain for making my baby brother’s birthday memorable!(BTW: we were there on 04.11.14 — to the staff working during that night… Mahalo and keep up the good work!!!)
