As a newbie scrapbook-a-holic, I’ve been searching out where to get my next scrap«fix» besides the Internet. One of the first stores I discovered was A Memory to Scrap in Broken Arrow, OK. This is a wonderful shop run by a husband and wife who obviously love their jobs. Each time I come in, they patiently explain what something is used for or how to fix a mistake I made or how to use a new product. They always take the time to help their customers. One day, I took a class there where I learned how to use Mod Podge. The owner, Vickie, told me to be generous with the Mod Podge. So, I was generous — OK, I was TOO generous. I had put so much on that my paper that my pieces were swimming in the goo. They wouldn’t dry and I needed them for my project. Vickie took a hair dryer to them while I kept working on my project. She spent a good 30 – 40 minutes trying to rescue my mess by drying them and then peeling off the excess glue. That impressed me! By the way, I did finish the project, and it turned out ok. The store keeps a nice selection of quality papers such as Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny, as well as embellishments, stamps, and inks. They have a very large Crop room available complete with most of the major tools needed to do your scrapbooking projects. I can’t say enough about the owners of this store, as well as the products. Go by and check it out for yourself. I think you’ll be pleased.
