The sushi was room temp and had zero flavor. It had peanuts and shrimp on it, and still zero flavor, just hot. The hot and sour soup was alright, but the bar was weird. The egg roll was obviously purchased frozen and had a weird preservative taste. Staff was nice and attentive though.

Absolutely delicious! Four of us had four different items and lived them all. Great option for vegans and meat eaters as well. The curry was tasty and the bento box is an amazing deal for the price.

I really don’t like Asian food very much. I either love it or hate it. This place is hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten! I love the sesame and general tso’s chicken. The fried rice and chicken egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had. No complaints at all. The food is amazing every single time. The staff is so friendly and warm. Food is super cheap. It’s a must for quick, cheap yet delicious Asian food.

I really wasn’t very impressed. My husband got 2 rolls and I got 2 rolls. His were cooked, mine, unfortunately we’re just warm, when they should have been cold. Also, the rainbow roll I ordered had no flavor, and the avocado was as hard as the cucumber in both the rainbow roll and the Philly roll I ordered. My husband’s food turned out very good though. We’ll come back if we are hard up for sushi.

I am SO confused by the positive reviews. Went there for lunch, during the lunch rush(there were only two empty tables in the restaurant, and people were getting to go orders), so the food SHOULD have been fresh. It was not. I ordered the classic bento box with sesame chicken, steamed rice, crab rangoons, miso soup, and shrimp tempura roll. The sesame chicken was soggy, rubbery, and the sauce was too salty(also the chicken was sitting in about an inch of sauce.). The steamed rice was overcooked, mushy, and flavorless. The crab rangoons were soft rather than crispy. The miso soup was good but obviously from a dry packet. The shrimp tempura had overcooked/underseasoned rice, TOO much cream cheese(it was like biting pure cream cheese filled rolls), and teeny tiny shrimp tempura. It was also warm. Warm sushi. :shudder: I tried quite a variety of foods and NOTHING was delicious(in fact mostly inedible). I will not be coming back, and unless you have VERY low standards with regards to Japanese food, I don’t suggest you do either.

A hidden gem for sushi-roll lovers is Bento Asian Diner. Their unique Hamamatsu Roll is second to NONE even for my picky food-artist friends. I appreciate the staff’s kindness and the price. Put this one on your list.

The people here are very friendly and committed to customer service. The food is a treat for the eyes and a delicious savory sensation for the taste buds. Although the restaurant is small it is clean and a hidden gem. Highly recommend the miso soup, dragon roll, crab Rangoons, and teriyaki chicken. All the meals are generous portions well worth the money. Love this place

Went to this place for the first time a few weeks ago. It’s kinda small so it can get crowded fast. Got the orange chicken bento box and it was good and flavorful. Proportion might look small but it’s enough to fill you up. Been meaning to go back but haven’t had time since I don’t live in BA.

Really good food! My son brought this as a surprise. I wasn’t familiar with the concept of a bento box, but it was such a treat! I had the sesame chicken and it was one of the best I’ve had from an Asian restaurant recently. It feels like there are lots of options and ways to combine the menu if different ways, I don’t think I’ll be getting bored of this spot anytime soon!

The first time going into Bento felt very welcoming, they led us to nice comfortable seating after greetings us at the door. The place is sounded with light music, great picture and culture. The menu is great very organized, easy to follow. Customer service is great, after coming here a few times I never change my mind or had a bad experience eating there or take out(if you prefer). The main dishes are great, sushi is really good, they also have amazing spring rolls and delicious miso soup. I will definitely be coming back for a long time. So don’t be shy and come into Bento and try there amazing dishes.

This place is amazing! I come here all the time. I’ve never had a bad or even a «meh» experience here. The staff is so nice and attentive, and super on top of they’re game, every time. Every time that I’ve ordered to go, they give me plenty of napkins, forks, and sauces. I usually get the Classic Bento Box because it has a little bit of everything. it’s super good. Their fried rice and sesame chicken is also outstanding. Their sushi is really good too. Would never go to a place like Panda Express when I live in a town with Bentos. I’m in love!

After revisiting Bento twice recently, I must say that they have indeed improved more than I would have expected. My two big negative issues in the past were bland food and subpar sushi. Both seem to be undeniably resolved. The sushi quality went up a great deal especially– no longer would I think this was premade store bought rolls. Even better, though– the entrees seem to have been reworked a bit. Before is tried four… Now I’ve tried a total of seven entrees and I can say they’re improving!

Bento Box is the place you go to when you just dont care. If awards were given for ‘meh’, this place would be a decorated General. I order Bento Box when corndogs, chicken wings and sushi all sound good in the same meal.

I went here one night randomly after running errands and have always wanted to give it a try. We stopped in and ending up eating at the restaurant itself. I love the bento boxes and that you can get whatever you want in them to make it your own. I will not lie, it was not the greatest thing ever, but I thought it was decent. Do not know if I will make an effort to come back here but if I am needing a bite to eat in the area maybe I will be back. I just felt like the food was kind of blah. Although I do enjoy the dumplings and appetizers since they are pretty basic. Always a good place to try if you are wanting the bento box experience but do not want to go out to dinner and pay the ridiculous price you would any other high end Japanese restaurant.

Very nice place for lunch. It’s a small place with friendly staff. Food is constant and much better than the feedlot all you can eat places.

Staying at hotel and had sushi delivered. I have a few issues with this place: no delivery charge was mentioned on the phone or on their menu, my order was missing an item-after I repeated it twice, the sushi was warm, no flavor, and the wasabi was runny! Sorry… I am a sushi fanatic and I will not be eating here again!

The service, presentation, and food were good. We were having a great experience when something caught my eye scurrying across the floor. Our table was back by the restrooms and kitchen. I was disgusted to find it was a cockroach. There was an instant lump in my throat and our lunch was completely ruined. We will never go back!!!

My family and I eat here a couple times a month. The portions are always well-sized and the value is great. Joanne will make you something special if you ask for something off the menu. Now as far as the sushi goes, they aren’t leading with that so don’t expect top of the charts sushi but it’s a good add on to the other items you get with the classic bento box. Always clean. Plus they deliver. We had it delivered last night and it was solid. Will continue to go back and our kids want to go there a lot.

We’ve always talked about trying this place, and we finally got around to doing so! I’m glad we did. Now we have another option for lunch or dinner, because this was a pretty solid place to eat. I went in for the classic bento box which gives you one entrée, one app, one soup, one sushi roll and a side. Everything came out piping hot, and it was delicious. There was so much food, over half of it went home with us. So 2 meals for $ 8 that doesn’t come in a paper sack with fries on the side is a pretty sweet deal! There are usually ValPak coupons for this place, and you can bring your receipt back to get more discounts.
